Sergio

Our experience was mixed. The house is large and spacious, with plenty of bathrooms and bedrooms for our large group. The pool was a hit with the kids and we enjoyed the outdoor spaces. The location was great for our activities and there are grocery stores and restaurants very close by. It felt very safe. Ample parking. On the other side, the house was not very clean. The bathrooms, floors, and especially the kitchen needed attention. The amount of large pests indoors was a challenge and was beyond was we experienced at other lodging during our stay in Costa Rica. While communication was generally responsive, the hosts were frustrated when factors fully outside our control (delays in our international flights and then traffic) brought us to the house 3 hours late. We ended up self-checking in, but the messaging back and forth was quite stressful after a long travel day.

The house is beautiful, very comfortable, private, and completely enclosed. We really enjoyed our stay. I did notice a few small cleanliness issues in the kitchen that could have used a bit more attention. Nothing major, but a slightly deeper clean would make an already lovely place even better. Also, not all of the bathrooms had hot water. Sergio is a great host—super responsive, friendly, and welcoming.

Don Sergio is very attentive, helpful and friendly. He delivers and receives the house, which gives some security. The house is spacious as well as the land. It is about 10-15 minutes from the beach. Some things in the house need to be fixed, which is natural because they get damaged over time.
