This room had lots of space, beautiful view from the balcony, hot shower! Tons of birds. I walked to property trails, beautiful place with tons of life. Walked them again at night and found a lot of frogs and a coral snake! I would stay here again.

Beautiful view from the balcony for birdwatchers, lovely pool, and good breakfast. The bird show at breakfast was worth the breakfast alone. Good location, I recommend it.

Jonathan’s place was excellent. The location in La Fortuna is prime as you are at a walking distance to restaurant, a grocery store, the La Fortuna waterfalls and La Fortuna river just a short walk away. You can enjoy the peaceful surroundings and lots and lots of fauna specially birds in all colours and sizes ☺️. Highly recommend!

This accommodation was ideal for our stay in La Fortuna, it is located in a very quiet area with good access to the main attractions if you are driving. They welcomed us very well and helped us with the questions we had. The cabin was very clean and comfortable, the kitchen is basic but we had already been warned about it. The view from the balcony is beautiful

We had a lovely stay! The balcony offers a beautiful view of the river, and the land is truly a pride of the property with a great trail leading down to the water. We especially enjoyed the delicious breakfast while bird watching. The place was also very clean and well-kept. The only downside was the lack of screens on the bathroom window and patio door, which allowed some bugs inside. Additionally, the patio door was a bit tricky to manage; since there is no handle to pull it shut, we had to use the deadbolt from both the inside and outside to keep it closed. This makes it easy to accidentally get locked out or let more insects in. With a few small fixes to the door and screens, this place would be absolutely perfect!

The bungalow was very nice and had a great view of the treetops. We have seen many animals. However, the accommodation is rather rustic and has no fly screens. The pool is beautiful and relaxing. The location is perfect if you have a car. Everything is easy to reach and delicious restaurants within walking distance

What a great adventure. This is our second time staying at a property with Jonathan as host. Always attentive and clear on instructions. We look forward to staying at a property hosted by Jonathan again.

Cute space and nice pool. The restaurants are walking distance and very tasty. We walked to La Fortune waterfall, a little bit steep but nice being able to walk there.

We are very satisfied with the three nights we spent in the cabin. Warm welcome, very good breakfast ($7) and perfect location. Possible to go to eat in a few restaurants within a 10-minute walk, otherwise within a 10-minute drive to Fortuna. Beautiful pool to chill in!

Budget-friendly and welcoming stay in La Fortuna minutes from town. If you’re looking for a clean and affordable rental, this is a great choice. The balcony view is beautiful, and waking up to the sounds of nature every morning was a highlight. Breakfast is included, though we opted for other options after the first day for more protein variety. They freshen up the room daily and provide new towels, but no washcloths are provided—so bring your own if needed. The added laundry service (for a fee) was a huge plus, making it easy to pack light. Although the in-person hosts are very sweet and accommodating, they speak very little English, so keep that in mind. Jonathan, the owner, however, is a fantastic host—responsive, accommodating, and truly helpful. Overall, a solid stay for those looking for comfort on a budget!

The cabin is located on amazing property full of lush and beautiful vegetation. Walking distance to several amazing restaurants. The breakfast ($7 US) was amazing, and so convenient when we were heading out for our early morning excursions. The pool was perfect to relax at after our daily outings. Jonathan was an amazing host who responded to all of our questions in a timely manner, and helped us plan and book our excursions while in the area.
