this place is awesome! i felt like i was in a Costa Rican home. secluded and private. any issues addressed immediately. this place is a gem!!

Eduardo was an amazing host, and our whole group of 9 really enjoyed our stay at Parrot Hill Ranch! While we were only there for two nights and one full day, we had an amazing experience. The views were beautiful, Eduardo showed us an amazing spot to watch the sunset, and half of the group had the chance to ride horses down to the lake which they thoroughly enjoyed. We felt right at home, and will absolutely be back, hopefully for a longer trip next time! Thank you Eduardo for a great close to our Costa Rica trip!

Eduardo was an excellent host. His brother was on site as well and just an added bonus. Extremely friendly. The farm animals were a 3 to 4 minute walk away and one of the highlights of the trip. The directions to the house were spot on, but it is remote and 4wheel drive is recommended, but I didn't engage 4wheel drive on the first time to the house and was fine with just the front wheel drive. The kitchens were well stocked with cookware and spices. Plenty of clean bedding and towels. If you're looking for an authentic Costa Rican house and experience you will not be disappointed. Granted, I have lived in Costa Rica for a few years in the past and knew what to expect and I was very happy we found Eduardo's place.

Even in the rain, the views and overall location are absolutely amazing, and the large property offers an incredible mix of landscapes with wildlife all around—it truly feels like you’re immersed in nature. Marshall and Eduardo were very kind and responsive hosts, accommodating our requests even on a short timeline, which we really appreciated. As describe by others, the home is a bit remote with a steep uphill drive near the end, so being comfortable with driving or having a reliable vehicle is important. While manageable, it’s best to avoid driving at night if rain is expected. Because the property is so spacious, a longer stay would be ideal to fully enjoy everything it has to offer. This is a great spot for outdoorsy travelers, and as expected in a natural setting, you may encounter an occasional bug. A few farm animals and friendly dogs roam the property which was a pleasant surprise. If you are looking to enjoy La Fortuna in an active way, this spot is for you.

We had a great stay at Eduardo’s house. We were welcomed by Eduardo and shown around the house and property. We got there after a long travel day and Eduardo ordered us a few pizzas at the local restaurant down the road. The house had a wonderful view of lake, volcanoes and many tropical birds! Whole family enjoyed our stay at the house which was close to La Fortuna but a lot less busy and very peaceful and safe. As others have mentioned the road to the house is a little rough so an suv would be ideal. We would definitely stay there again!

We had a wonderful stay at Eduardo's property. The views of the volcano, lake and surrounding mountains were just beautiful! Our children loved seeing the farm animals (horses, cows, pigs, chickens) and parrot that came to visit. There were two separate units which accommodated our two families very well. They were well appointed and very clean. Eduardo was so kind to communicate with and always very responsive. We went to a wonderful restaurant that we could walk to from the property. The road up to the house is quite long and steep so a 4 wheel drive car is needed.

We stayed at Eduardo’s Airbnb for two nights and had an absolutely wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, Eduardo greeted us with such kindness and was eager to share great recommendations for things to do in the area. The home comfortably accommodated our group of 9 and was spotless. The property offers breathtaking 360° views, and each morning we woke up early to watch the sunrise while listening to the birds—it was truly peaceful. Eduardo and his family also prepared a traditional Costa Rican breakfast for us each day, which was incredible! I highly recommend staying here and would absolutely come back again!
