Nice home base for our family. Would come back for sure!

The family loved the place. A few steps to the pool and the ocean with a good restaurant. To get around, we used uber, cost us about $10 each way to auto mercado supermarket. Henry is very responsive and helpful during our stay. Definitely recommend to stay at Villa Tucan for your stay at Costa Rica.

Everything was excellent, we had a great time as a family, ideal to go with children and be very calm in an incredible environment.

The place was very nice, we loved it. The beach is very private, a little rocky, but still very nice. The description of the place is accurate. We also enjoyed the place's pool. The house was excellent! We recommend it. Many thanks to the hosts!!

We love this part of Costa Rica. We hadn’t been back to Bahia Pez Vela in 10 years and it was nice to be back and so close to the pool. Perfect for vacationing with kids. Thanks to Elizabeth and Henry for sharing their place. We will be back!

We enjoyed our stay at Elizabeth and Henry's place! The resort is great - the staff there are all so welcoming and helpful. It was nice to have a restaurant onsite and the food is very good. We enjoyed the pools and the beach daily. We especially appreciated the detailed directions for driving to the home, the recommendations of restaurants (we enjoyed Tandoor and Santorini from their list of recs!), and recommendations of things to do/sightseeing nearby. The home itself was comfortable and well-stocked. We would recommend staying in this villa and at Bahia Pez Vela!

Elizabeth’s place was very comfortable. The mattresses were comfortable. I always love the Bahia Pez Vela. The beach and pool are super fun and convenient. Great views of the ocean and lots howler monkeys and birds to wake to in the morning.

The house is very comfortable and beautiful, a few meters from the beach. Access to pool and rest. The only difficult thing to access the bahia pez for the first time, then everything is fine

Great place to stay in the Guanacaste coast. The Bahia Pez Vela beach is PERFECT for snorkeling and the swimming pools are great for kids all ages and all. The service and communication by the host and the resort was great too. The villa was very clean and with a partial but nice ocean view.

Bahia Pez Vela was the perfect location for our beach vacation! We had a wonderful time there. The staff was friendly and helpful. The black sand beach was idyllic. The house had everything we needed. It was clean, comfortable, and well equipped. We particularly enjoyed grilling on the patio and were immensely grateful for the pool towels. Liz and Henry were great sources of information on how to make our Guanacaste vacation a success!

It’s a beautiful place to stay. You have the Bahia Pez Vela Club in the same place incluiding Maracuya restaurant. It’s excellent for vacations period.

Elizabeth was an excellent host and communicated with me seamlessly to get us set up with a last minute reservation. If you enjoy a smaller resort without having to compete for a pool chair or a spot on the beach, this is the perfect place for you. The beach club that's part of your stay is absolutely perfect. The staff clearly takes pride in the resort. It is so clean and everyone was very friendly. Literally the only complaint I had was that they don't open until lunch because I would have loved to sit by the pool with a cup of coffee in the mornings :) But other than that, we were almost always the first family on the beach or at the pool in the AM and it never felt crowded (over the Dec holiday week too!). If you want something more lively, you can walk to Ocotal beach at low tide and visit Father Rooster's beachfront restaurant. Coco is just a 15 min drive with tons of grocery options, quick bites, fruit stands and great restaurants. We can't wait to come back and explore more of Costa Rica!

Amazing location and wonderful villa! We spent 2 weeks at the Bahia Pez Vela resort to wrap up our 6 week stay in Costa Rica. Of all the places we stayed, this was our favorite! Our 5 small kids loved exploring the beach with its mild waves. The pools were great with a beautiful view of the ocean from the infinity pool. The Bahia Pez Vela staff were very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant onsite was excellent for a snack by the pool, or a nice dinner. The chef at the Maracuya restaurant went as far as personally driving our dinner to our villa one night, just to make things easier for us! Henry and Liz were great hosts and very communicative throughout our stay. They made sure that we had a high chair for our baby and also immediately fixed an issue with the air conditioner. They also increased the internet speed to 100mbps to accommodate my request for faster speeds! They really went above and beyond in all areas and we're already planning our next visit!
