Richard

Richard is an exceptional host—warm, welcoming, and thoughtful from start to finish. He had my ATV rental ready upon arrival and arranged seamless rides to and from Cobano airport, which made everything effortless. His place is a spacious slice of paradise right on the beach, with front-row views of Santa Teresa’s stunning sunsets. One of my favorite parts was the hammock—a perfect place to rest, read, and enjoy the partial sun with an incredible ocean breeze. It was pure relaxation. Next door, Rocomar was a huge bonus: great food, drinks, and occasional live music, yet it closes early so it never disturbed the peace. Located on the north end of town, the property feels removed from the bustle while still being incredibly easy to access everything you’d want. I slept wonderfully every night thanks to the comfortable beds and excellent air conditioning. This was the kind of place that is very hard to leave—and I’d return in a heartbeat.

This place rocks! Best location in St Teresa. Great surfing right out the door. Tide pools were a great surprise to lounge in during low tide. Restrauent next door is super chill with great food. Daily cleaning and staff was lovely.

This is was our fourth time staying in Santa Teresa and we would choose to stay here again over every other place. The location is perfect, walkable to some spots but with a ATV can easily get to all the different restaurants and different beaches within 10ish minutes. Staying on the beach was incredible. Being next to Rocomar (a delicious restaurant) was wonderful! They close by 8pm everyday so it was never loud but we could always pop over for something if we wanted it. The facilities were very nice and very well maintained. A beautiful pool for dipping and cooling down. There were cleaners everyday which was also a special treat. Richard, our host, went above and beyond many times. He helped facilitate massages, atv rentals , and I had a dental emergency on the flight in and he helped me arrange getting it taken care of by next morning at 9am! Not only that he drove me!! Saved me much heartache on the trip. I cannot say enough good things. This is truly paradise in Santa Teresa.

What an amazing stay right on the beach in beautiful Santa Teresa !! Richard was so responsive and great ! The bar next door is amazing food and drinks and also fun entertainment :) we will definitely be back !!

This was our first visit to Costa Rica and the Villa, Santa Teresa, and Richard's marvelous hosting & villa made it a trip we'll never forget. Everything about our visit at this villa reflected the beauty & best aspects of this country. First of all, Richard went above & beyond as a host. He not only quickly accommodated our requests & needs during the stay, he also helped us book whatever we needed. He's also friendly, has wonderful stories, loves a good laugh, & his English is exceptional if you happen to not know espanol (like us!). Many people have noted the amazing cleaning service provided. I'd just like to add that the incredible staff DEEP cleaned every day; far better than some of the nicest resorts I've stayed. Finally, the location is perfect for Santa Teresa. Many of the locals & visitors congregate every evening to watch the stunning sunsets. The beach outside this property is where they gather, that's how pretty this beach is. We can't wait to come again!

We had the best time at Richards place, and loved the location being right next to Rocobar to grab a bite to eat. The beach is amazing, we would definitely book again.

Looking forward to returning next year and I won't even consider staying anyplace else in Santa Teresa. Thank you Richard for everything...

The Villa was beautiful! The view was amazing. Richard was an amazing host and very accommodating. He made great local recommendations. We could not have asked for a more peaceful vacation. We felt very taken care of.

Richards place looked better than the photos. It is on the beach! He is an attentive host. He gave us suggestions on where to eat and even arranged a chef to come in and serve us a meal. Did I mention it is on the beach?! The restaurant next door is nice. We could not hear it inside or outside of Richards place. It was private and you would not know there was a restaurant there unless you walked over to it. The sound of the waves on the ocean was all we heard. It's to bad that almost everyone on this site rates their stay as 5 star. It dilutes the meaning of 5 star. Richards place is by far the best Airbnb we've ever stayed at. Period. Richard is a great host. Attentive and not intrusive. This place has a cleaning crew that comes in everyday and cleans for you. Have you stayed at the beach? No matter how well you rinse there is sand everywhere. It's nice to have someone clean up the sand for you daily. Sunsets from the beach and patio were unreal. Book this place now.

We were in love with the house and location. Beach front as pictured. The home was clean and well maintained. The pool was cool and very refreshing to cool off in during the heat of the day. There is a beach restaurant, rocamar, located right next door that provides a lively environment while the house still feels isolated. The restaurant closes at 8 so very private during afternoon and evening. Outdoor living area is comfortable and well appointed. Richard is onsite and was extremely helpful with anything we needed. We can’t wait to come back!!

Great place! Right on the beach. There is a beach club/restaurant that you share a wall with. It did not detract from our enjoyment or experience. But some may view it differently. The caretakers are great and the area is maintained very well. We loved our stay and wish we could have stayed longer.

This place is amazing! Felt unreal to be in such a majestic place to call home for a few days. Richard and his staff were very friendly and went above and beyond to help you feel at home and relaxed. The photos don’t compare to how beautiful this gem of a property is in real life. I would love to return one day and will recommend to my friends for sure! Thanks Richard!

The BEST spot in all of Santa Teresa! It truly is paradise here. You are ON the most beautiful beach. Richard and his family are wonderful. Would definitely return!

This IS the way to stay in Santa Teresa! First off, the photos do not do this air bnb and location justice - all of our jaws dropped when we arrived. Absolute paradise. There is nothing like being able to walk out to the beautiful beach EVERY day. We were close enough to town for anything we wanted to do, but far enough to enjoy the peace and quiet. The main town area is very busy and loud. The home was spotless, and comfortable. It had all the amenities needed to be lived in with no stress. The home was also cleaned every day, linens were changed out, and the beds were comfy. Hammocks were hung every day and beach chairs were provided. The porch and plunge pool were wonderful to hang out on/in when it rained, or just to cool off. Richard was great. He communicated with me before our arrival, and he met with us when we arrived. He provided great local recommendations and was responsive when I reached out to him. Overall, an amazing stay and we will definitely be back!!

Pictures and description do not do justice to this amazing AirBNB! This place is everything you could want and need in Costa Rica! The location is walking distance from town, right on the beach, and next door to a delicious restaurant, and we even had loneliest in the backyard! The house is perfect - very clean, AC, pool is small but the kids had a blast and it was even great as a cool off option for us adults. The house felt very safe and secure. Richard is absolutely incredible. Extremely responsive and he helped us arrange local fun tours like zip lining, fishing, and surf lessons. He checked in regularly-but not too much. Really a true delightful host. Did I mention the location of this place is the best?!!!! Right on the beach in an area you can swim (unless the black flag is out) tide pools when tides are low just a beach walk away north. And the most breath taking sunsets of all times. It truly was a dream!
