Priscilla was very responsive, usually within an hour. She was very nice and accommodating. The place was very clean. The kitchen had everything needed to make meals. There was plenty of seating inside and out. Priscilla was very friendly and provided wonderful recommendations
A beautiful beachfront place with a private pool. Very comfortable. All rooms have A/C. The kitchen is fully equipped. Pretty neat and clean. Communication with Priscila and Edgar, the person in charge of the house, was very good. They allowed us to check in early, and it was very helpful to make the most of the time. The beach is very nice and it's 5-35 minutes from nearby beaches that are worth checking out. Very safe and quiet place
The home's location is fantastic, and we agree with the positive reviews regarding the area. It’s close to the beach, and there are several good restaurants nearby, making it a convenient place to stay . The backyard was another huge draw: there was plenty of seating, a nicely maintained pool (with pool noodles), and easy beach access. With that said, we agree with other reviews mentioning the home could use some TLC and upgrades. Here are things we would have liked to know before booking. Although the listing says hot water, there is no hot water in the kitchen so we had to boil water to wash dishes. The refrigerator did not keep food as cold as expected, resulting in spoilage. Mangoes fell regularly from the trees, causing loud crashes every night on the metal roof. During a rainstorm, the roof leaked onto a bed. We also noticed a sewer smell coming from the bathroom off the kitchen (which we were told happens when it rains. We didn't stay in that room because of the smell.
The location of this house is what stands out the most. It is a flat yard with pool leading straight to the beach. This is the second time at this property and Priscila has made some upgrades since the last time we stayed. It is an authentic Tico house with the added luxury of air conditioning in each bedroom. It was a great house for our family. We stayed with our two adult kids and spouses and 3 grandchildren. It was a very special week for us.
PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING: We have been visiting Playa Hermosa for years and it’s been a very welcoming and comfortable place. This Airbnb is comfortable and spacious, the photos need to be updated but the majority is just how you see it. At 2:50am we were robbed. Two men came into the Airbnb through the back sliding glass doors, they came into peoples room while they were sleeping and stole various objects of value. Please ensure you lock all of the doors and be aware of your surroundings. The host shared the security videos with us but besides that she didn’t do much else, she just said it was unfortunate. I spent hours talking to neighbors, the locals were incredibly helpful sharing their security videos. Foreigners who have purchased property here also had experienced break ins (2 others in that past 3 days) so ensure that you lock everything even your bedroom doors if you stay here. PLEASE READ THE FACTS. I am truly sorry this happened to this guest, however, even when they were advised to make sure to lock up and set the alarm system, they were negligent and went to sleep with the sliding doors wide open and did not turn on the alarm system. My main concern is the safety of our guests, and as proof of that I installed i camaras and an alarm system, as well as reinforced locks in all the doors and windows. If you read all the reviews, no one has said anything about break ins in the house. Actually this year, we had a very nice lady from Canada rent the house for 3 monts, she is 70 and she was staying at the house most of the time by herlsef. She did not have any issued. (I can provide her info in case needed). Therefore no matter if you have all the security in the world, if you leave the doors wide open (we have the video), and no alarm, you might have someone get in, here or in any part of the world.
This home in Playa Hermosa is just as pictured or even better. The home grounds are very well kept with a large pool. The back yard is fenced and right on the beach. The house was just as described and had more amenities than listed. Hot water in the showers was also a plus. Small details like having ice cube trays already filled and glasses chilled in the freeze was a wonderful touch. The area felt very safe and low key but still with many restaurants within easy walking distance. We were able to watch iguanas, parrots and howler moneys all from the comfort of the lounge chairs beside the pool. Pricilla, the host, and her grounds keeper Edgar were very responsive and helpful with anything we needed.
Great location. Very spacious and pleasant. The patio and pool are quite enjoyable. The exit to the beach is one of the best features of the place. The kitchen could have a little more equipment. Generally speaking, we liked the house a lot.
Priscila was an excellent host. She went out of her way to make for a great vacation for my family. She even purchased some beach toys for my grandson. He loved them. There was lots of space inside and out for our large group. We loved waking up to the sound of the ocean and walks on the beach to many great restaurants. The iguanas and monkeys were very entertaining to watch. Kitchen was well stocked.
Our stay at the house was exceptional. From the first moment, the attention of Mr. Edgar, the house manager, was totally timely and full of kindness, always making sure that everything was perfect. Priscilla also gave us a warm and attentive service that made us feel at home. The property has all the necessary amenities to enjoy and relax without worries, and the proximity to the beach just steps away is a real plus. It's definitely an amazing place we hope to go back to

This was an amazing Airbnb right on the ocean in Costa Rica’s Playa Hermosa. My family loved our stay here for 4 days. The host was very easy to contact with any questions. Beds were comfy and the home fit my family of six very comfortably. It was incredible to wake up to waves. You can see the ocean from the house. What a view on vacation. My kids enjoyed having a pool as well. We enjoyed some great local restaurants nearby and went fishing with a local guide. It was an Extremely peaceful location and we felt really safe during our stay. We would love to stay again in the future!!
House facing the beach and there is an excellent pool, the beach was almost completely deserted, there are several restaurants near the property, the property is old and there is very old furniture, in the center of the house there are only fans and no air conditioning, but all the rooms are air-conditioned, the kitchen is equipped and there is everything you need, the house in general needs some maintenance because it is old and the showers require renovation, overall it was completely fine, the hostess was courteous and immediately answered every request
