First of all, Johan was an excellent host! He was super responsive and helpful from the minute I booked to the minute I checked out — he set so many things up for me with only 24 hours notice. The Airbnb was breathtaking; the view is perfect for catching the sunset and it’s secluded so you feel like you’re away from everything. Only downside is the hill to the top is very steep so not every car can make it up there, but it’s really minor in the big picture. Would rebook with Johan 100x if I could!

We loved our stay here! Everything we had planned was very convenient to this place. Beaches, zip lining, restaurants, beautiful Manual Antonio park, etc. The villa itself was perfect for 2 couples. The kitchen was completely stocked with everything one would need! The view from the deck was amazing! Overlooking the town of Quepos and the ocean. The grounds were perfectly maintained, pool clean and refreshing, sounds of birds in the background, and two little iguanas (who we named) on the roof ledge below the deck that came out every day to visit. Our hosts responses were always timely and all needed info was provided. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would definitely stay here again when back in Manual Antonio!

Our stay over Christmas was amazing. So much wildlife to be seen just from the front porch. Scarlet Macaws flew by daily. The place is perched up on the hillside and gives great views and also feels private. The iguana who visits the pool is a treat also. Our first night we were wiped out from our day of travel and Johan offered to order pizza for us and had it delivered. We had also booked a fishing trip and realized we did not have a sun shirt for one of our party and again Johan had a great recommendation for affordable clothing. We would 100% recommend staying here.

Johan was very responsive and coordinated well with all instructions. The place was perfectly secluded yet had signage all the way up to the house which made it easy to find. Perfect spot to get away from it all and enjoy a coffee on the stunning back deck. Highly recommend!

What an incredible Airbnb! Comfortable beds. Well stocked kitchen. Extra towels. Comfy couches. Lots of outside seating. The pool was so nice to cool off and relax in. The birds were amazing. Saw two blue macaws and four scarlet ones from the porch. Lots of toucans every evening. Excellent stay. Highly recommend. Would stay here again. 10/10

I can’t say enough about Johan!! He went above and beyond as a host. He was always available and extremely helpful. He gave great recommendations and knows the area and its surrounding areas very well. The house was just perfect! And the beds very comfortable. The view is just unmatched. We had so many different animals right in the yard. In fact we had more up close encounters with the indigenous animals there than in the parks. I can’t say enough about this location and our experience there. We stayed 10 days and everyone was amazing! It was easy to relax and feel right at home there. Even the people that came to clean the pool and some other things were so friendly and welcoming. I can’t wait to go back and I would definitely recommend this place. There are a few hills to get to the house but nothing that I thought was an issue at all. We walked to town numerous times and ate at some great places. And the view is worth ever step!!! Thank you for making our trip so amazing Johan.

This is our second time staying at this house, love the location because have great views, very private and you can feel right at home, however you definitely need 4wd vehicle to access, especially if is rainy season, Johan is excellent host, was raining and we had some problems with flooding, called Him and immediately went to the house to check the situation, next day send a plumber to fix it and sent the cleaning lady to clean the house as well, everything went back to normal after that and we definitely enjoyed the rest of our trip, Thanks Johan for make sure we had a wonderful visit to your house, definitely will stay here next time we visit.

An absolutely outstanding home to stay in outside of Manuel Antonio. Johan was great with giving full directions (and then some) to be able to easily find the home. It’s close to the town of Quepos, and close to MA. Further, Johan was very flexible with our requests, and swung by one day to help us out! Truly a great place and good person.

We loved this place with it’s Costa Rican ambience and an amazing view of the coast. The house had Costa Rican varnished woods and ceilings, spacious bedrooms and bathrooms with comfortably firm mattresses, storage, ceiling fans, and good lighting. The kitchen had every single thing we needed, including a toaster, coffee pot and blender. We especially enjoyed lounging on the covered patio and pool area. It was all very comfortable for our week long vacation. We saw two kinds of monkeys and some colorful birds and iguanas. Johan was an excellent source of restaurants, grocery stores, and other things we needed, including some very good advice. It was a great place to explore the surrounding areas. He arranged for a private shuttle back to the airport as well. We appreciate the hospitality and would definitely come again in a heartbeat.
