Great stay overall. The place was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and easy to find. Check-in was smooth with clear instructions, and the host was responsive throughout. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful 4 night stay at Casa Marimba!! The location is absolutely a dream, right next to the water, and very private. The grounds are extremely well kept, and there was never an issue finding a lovely, peaceful place to spend our time. The food was so delicious and healthy, and even though the restaurant has hours for certain meals, snacks and drinks are always available. The service was impeccable, with everyone from the front desk and the servers to the kitchen staff and the groundskeepers being very friendly, approachable, and responsive.The room was absolutely lovely, with a balcony,but just know that in our 2-bedrooms, one room had ac and the other one didn't, but my kids didn't seem to mind. The one thing I would recommend is to book your outings through a local company. We had luck with TripNic (tour guide El Tigre) and Nica Up (tour guide Gustavo- really informative!!!) Casa Marimba helped us to find a driver, so we hired Henry for the week, and he was amazing!

A paradise-like place, nature-friendly, the lagoon is an invaluable bonus, I will be back soon. Thank you for your staff's hospitality.

This accommodation was lovely. We were welcomed with a free drink which we enjoyed lakeside listening to the waves and the sounds of nature. The service was excellent and our room was spotless. They went above and beyond with little touches like putting fresh flowers in our room. Will be coming back here again.

Nice place

We came as a family of 4 people and loved everything about our stay. Nice staff, delicious food but most of all, the magical place with always warm water for swimming. We arrived later in the evening and they even saved dinner for us. I needed to teach a class while there and the receptionist let me use one of the empty rooms. Everyone went far and beyond to make everyone feel welcome.

This place is a true gem! Thank you for hosting us we were able to unwind and enjoy the beautiful nature

Beautiful surroundings and great food at the restaurant

Great place to get a way. Enjoyed the lake. Complimentary drink, daily breakfast was great, and lunch. Had a message. Very relaxing and the stars at night were incredible.

Beautiful setting, lovely room, incredible volcanic crater lake with birds , monkeys, butterflies, loads of flowers. Hiking, swimming, kayaking. Fantastic food , super friendly staff. Can’t recommend enough and want to return Amburgey stay longer.

Clean, quiet, private, loved that it included breakfast and a drink upon arrival.
