2BR Villa in Placencia

William

Excellent, 5 months ago

This was a great location that we plan on visiting in the future.

The home was beautiful and immaculate. Very peaceful, great AC. The pool was amazing. Great base to visit everything in the area. I believe the road has been improved, as there are traction assists on the steepest parts. I did not have to use AWD at all, and my 16 year old daughter was able to drive up without issue. If you've never driven in mountains or are an anxious driver, this might not be the spot for you. Otherwise, a 4WD would be nice but not necessary.

This was hands down the best air bnb we’ve ever stayed at. The house was in gorgeous condition. Comfy, cozy and relaxing. It was on such beautiful grounds with landscaping that was gorgeous. We were able to be totally private yet safe and close enough to town. Birdwatching was incredible and we even saw a howler ten feet away from us (and heard them often). The location was great for doing day trips. Julian the host, and Inez the property service guy, were top notch. They were both responsive and helpful with minor things we wanted tweaked (showed up to change our pool jet times to suit our needs) and with giving local recommendations.. 100% I recommend this villa Thank you Julian!

Chill Reservation is a great place to stay! If you want isolation in the middle of the woods and still feel home with all the technology in the world this is the place! Need a 4x 4 vehicle to go on steep roads. This place is phenomenal! With private pool, you can unwind with all the forest friends! Birds lizards etc. They have washing machine as well so no worries if you have dirty clothes. The welcome fruit basket was also greatly appreciated👍! We will be back again!

The space was incredible. The hosts were attentive beyond expectation. While the environment was remote, the home was highly luxurious and modern, with small details in mind. I couldn't help but take full advantage of the kitchen while utilizing the hyper-local food options from nearby markets. Toucans visited several times daily, and I even spotted a monkey in full relaxation mode. I couldn't help but follow. The pool over the jungle canopy area was a space of extreme comfort and the outdoor shower experience will never be forgotten. I did cliff diving and pyramid climbing for the first time nearby. I was delayed in writing a review because I've had trouble adjusting to returning home. This will not be forgotten. Great memories. I look forward to revisiting it soon.

Our group of 4 had an amazing stay at Julian’s Airbnb. The residence was extremely clean and well taken care of. The views of the jungle were gorgeous. The pool felt amazing as the weather was in the upper 90’s the whole trip. I highly recommend staying here if you’re in the area. You won’t be disappointed and it is well worth the money. As per other reviews, 4X4 vehicle is required to reach the top of the hill where the residence is located. 10/10, A+, thanks again!

We loved our stay here. The home is situated in a private gated development. It is spotless, modern and beautiful. The outdoor seating area is very pretty and a nice place to relax and cool off in the pool. In the morning we saw 4 toucan in the trees. The beds, pillows and linens are very clean and comfortable. The outdoor showers were wonderful. The AC was nice and cool despite +100 degree temperatures outside. The drive to the center of town is about 20 mins with a grocery store conveniently located along the way. As others mentioned the road to the house is steep and requires a 4x4. Julian’s communication was very prompt and helpful. We would love to stay here again.

This rental at Chial Reserve is beautiful! My family loved the small pool and I found the outdoor shower to be very relaxing. The rental is about 15 min outside of town, to the west of San Ignacio, so expect it to take a little longer to get to some of the area’s activities. However the house was always so peaceful to come home to. I didn’t want to leave. It is just up the road from chaa creek but better, in my opinion, to stay here instead. Julian was very responsive and let me alter my dates which I very much appreciated. I need to give Ines, an employee at Chial, some recognition. He is such a wonderful asset to Chial Reserve. If you need anything while there he will help you out. He is there to get you to your villa (you do need either a 4WD or AWD - we had a Kia AWD and it did ok but we were there in the dry season) and is very responsive to any other concerns you may have. We enjoyed our stay and hope to come back sometime.

This place is amazing! Lots of amenities that make you feel at home. Extra towels and linens which is amazing. Checkout was simple and they didn't have us doing any work. Well stocked home in the jungle, that allowed you to call it home. We had a hard time getting to the house as the rental company didn't have any 4-wheel drives, though it was promised. However, the site manager helped us 100%. I couldn't ask for better. Loved, loved, loved this place!!

Our stay in Villa 14 was one we will never forget! The peacefulness of the jungle and the villa’s beautiful surroundings are unmatched. We rented a 4x4 and were told at the airport they didn’t have one and an AWD should be fine for anything in San Ignacio - press them like we did to find a 4x4 to feel comfortable climbing and descending the steep, rocky inclines of Chial. We were the only ones renting a villa for 2 of our 3 nights and, though safe, it was comforting to know there was a guard on the property. Due to the driving conditions and remote location, I would not stay here if I were a single female or single parent. We drove about 15 minutes into San Ignacio for meals and planned activities. The Belizean people are friendly and kind and our host, Julian, was always responsive and available. Comfortable beds, very basic kitchen necessities, amazing outdoor showers, relaxing plunge pool, and very clean! Highly recommend MayaWalk, Coffee de los Mayas, and Guava Limb Cafe!
