3BR Villa in Nicoya

Nathalie

Excellent, 1 week ago

Great place. Quiet and private. Kitchen fully equipped with everything you may need and more. Everything very well maintained and very confortable, from bed, pillows, sofas and outdoor fournitures .Walking distance to the beach. We had a great relaxing time. A vehicule is required for restaurants and grocery.

Thanks so much Natalie we really appreciate you! A vehicle may be needed but its only 5 minutes away!

Exactly what we were hoping for! Our family of 4 loved this villa nestled in jungle surroundings and just a few houses back from the beach. Truly the best of both worlds. The flora and fauna were incredible - so lush! All the floor to ceiling windows made you feel like you were right in the middle of it (with the comfort of AC). Could have stayed at home all day! Our hostess Raphaelle was so kind and helpful. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you for a great stay!!

Thanks so much Carly! It means a lot !! We will have again with an open heart :)

We had an overall pleasant stay at the villa. It is spacious, surrounded by greenery, and the highlight was seeing families of monkeys in the trees on several mornings. There were practical drawbacks: no dishwasher or wardrobe space, and the housekeeper and maintenance staff initially came daily, so we rarely had the villa to ourselves. After discussing this, we handled the cleaning and laundry ourselves. Raphaelle responded quickly when we raised an issue. We were uncomfortable with cameras facing the pool, loungers and open bathroom area, but these were covered after we mentioned it. The villa is directly beside the main unpaved road, so traffic noise, especially speeding ATVs, is noticeable outside. The beaches are beautiful and peaceful, but the rocky beach in front is unsuitable for swimming. Santa Teresa is one long, dusty road, and reaching the villa requires a steep, rutted sandy descent, so a capable car is essential. Overall, the location and setup were not quite right for us

Judith from the moment of check in, you have complained to Raphaelle our private concierge(!) about the dusty road, the fact that there's not much to do in this town, and said you were used to come to Tamarindo and Jaco!! These are hectic very modern American style developed towns, totally different than Santa Teresa, which is raw, jungle, laid back, boho surf town! That's the magic of it:) There is no single villa that has dishwasher here, they don't even sell it in stores, this is because everyone have daily cleaning, which is considered very hi end comforting service which you didn't want! so obviously then you had to do the dishes yourself. Like we mentioned the cameras were old cameras that don't function! they are not connected to power, we said that, and still immediately, because you were uncomfortable we covered them anyway! The decent to our street is NOT a sandy road!! it is totally paved with a safety mirror where you can see the cars approaching. A x 4x4 vehicle is always recommended in this area, you're used to Jaco and Tamarindo that's why you were not used to it. The 'noise' you were complaining about is not something unusual when you want to be as close to the beach. and in none of our previous reviews we had complaints of noise rather of how the villa is private and quiet. for a complete silent villa you had to choose a villa on the mountain. Like I said, Santa Teresa wasn't to your liking from the first moment and unfortunately you didn't take the time to lay back and enjoy our perfect villa and the Pura Vida!

This house is very beautiful with a “Bali” vibe set in a lush green garden and a cute plunge pool. The beds/ pillows are very comfortable and the showers are good. I agree with a previous comment that, despite the quiet setting, the road can be heard in the day time ( especially the souped up ATV/ mopeds/ trucks) mainly in the master bedroom. It’s quiet at night. The nearby beach is beautiful and having rocamar and cafe social nearby is nice.

Thank you Sarit! as we can't control the bike riders we do our best to block the house with walls and plants, we're in a super quiet neighborhood and beach! I know some people are more sensitive than others to noise, but always no complaints from guests. everyone chill around the pool, enjoy the living areas and sleep super quietly :)

We had an amazing stay at Villa Nova. We had 14 adults all staying at this large communal villa. The villa is right off of the ocean which we utilized every day with our group. When it got too hot we would go back to the house and use the pools to hang out at. The large kitchens were great for feeding our group and the maid service was diligent in helping us clean after each meal. The concierge service helped me book vans to take our group on a boat excursion one day. The rooms were all beautifully decorated and had big comfortable beds. There was AC in each room to keep the guests comfortable. The landscaping and gardening around the villa made us feel as though we were living in a jungle oasis. There were multiple gathering areas for people to sit and have conversation. The villa is next to a bunch of great restaurants and walking distance to a market and a downtown area. I would highly recommend this stay! All of our guest were extreme happy staying at this villa!

Thank you Alexandra!! We appreciate your kind words so much! We would love to have you again with us on your next visit to Santa Teresa !

This villa is the best AirBNB I’ve ever stayed in, anywhere in the world. The villa is beautifully designed and it makes the trip special even when you’re not outside enjoying Santa Teresa. Our host Raphaelle was incredibly kind, responsive and shared so many great places and things about Santa Teresa that we likely would have missed without her help. We’d definitely try to stay at this villa first on all future Santa Teresa trips.

Host Response

Excellent! So amazing to hear 🙏🏽we loved having you !

The villa was beautifully built and felt homey. The only issue was that the Google Maps location was misleading—we thought it was on beach but it was right next to the road and it was pretty dusty the days we didn’t have rain and had some road noise as well. Overall didn’t feel the value matched the price but we still enjoyed our stay and liked that it was out of town bit.

Host Response

Dear Rio I’m sorry to hear that But our villa IS on the beach . Nobody said it was beachfront! The listing is written 50 meters from beach and it’s exactly is ! During your stay the municipality was fixing the road before the high season and so there was probably more noise and dust around the house , but our team gave extra cleaning services and care so it won’t effect our quality of service and amenities. We are located on the beach side and with a short little private path to an almost private beach , this is NOT a villa on the street . And you can read all of our past reviews where no body complained about that. Sorry this was your experience we only did our very best!
