Our stay at Villa Buen Trueno couldn’t have been better! We looked at so many Airbnb’s in Costa Rica before settling on this one. We’re so glad we did! Lu, the property manager, was so helpful. She answered questions about the house, the area and checked in with us periodically. The house and the pool are even better than the pictures. The location is fabulous. We can’t say enough great things about this house. We loved our stay!

Incredible!! We wish we could have stayed forever! The pool and views brought so much happiness to our family, we hope we can make it back to visit again someday. The location was perfect, out and away from the busier parts of town, and we saw a lot of wildlife - birds, toucans, macaws, dart frogs, lizards, "Walter" the iguana. They provided everything you could need from cooking meals to swimming in their home to concierge for planned activities and outings. We definitely left a piece of our hearts here.

We loved the area and the view was spectacular! Thankful to the manager Lu for checking in on us to make sure we were all set and confirming if we needed anything. The guides from Crispin and Kristen were perfect. First trip to Costa Rica and already want to plan a return trip

My husband and I were in need of some peace and relaxation and Villa Buen Trueno helped us accomplish that goal! You can’t beat the amazing patio and pool with the beautiful view! We spent most of our days there, eating our meals, reading books, playing games, and cooling off in the refreshing pool. We also enjoyed just watching all the variety of birds flying around the property. We could just sit for hours and take in the surrounding beauty. The kitchen was stocked well enough to cook many of our meals. However, this location has lots of great restaurants close by that we enjoyed—some with fantastic views and even monkeys who were playing nearby! Some nice beaches are close by as well! We spent the evenings in our bedroom watching TV on a laptop or playing games. We did so because it was too hot to stay in family room which had no air conditioning. The master bedroom was air conditioned. When we arrived, the other two bedrooms air conditioning was not working, but Lucr

A great stay in a lovely well maintained house. Beautifully clean and inviting. Lu was very helpful in accommodating a late check-in at night on Christmas Eve and took us up the steep hill in her own 4x4 for the last leg of the journey as ours wasn’t due to be delivered until the next day. A lovely quiet location with an excellent pool. The weather wasn’t great during our stay so sadly we didn’t get to experience the sunsets which would have been spectacular with the most perfect viewpoint. However we did get to see some great wildlife. Ojochal was our favourite small village with some very cute restaurants and a great deli, only a 20 minute drive away. A wonderful stay - thank you.

We stayed two weeks at Crispin and Kristen villa approximately 20 miles south of Uvita. The villa was as advertised, Quite beautiful in an amazing setting. During our stay we saw macaws, lots of parrots, a couple of toucans who enjoyed the tree on the property, a poison dart frog that visited us daily , many other birds that we cannot name ! The pool was a must as it is very humid, thank goodness each bedroom had its own air conditioning. Plenty of good restaurants in the area, we would shop at the BM grocery store in Uvita, that was convenient. If you are looking for a Costa Rica stay outside of the usual tourist traps, this should be one of your options!

It was a beautiful villa in a fantastic location. We loved our stay in the house and in the pool. The view is so beautiful. We had contact with Lucretia (Lu) who was our first point of contact there. She helped us great with everything around our stay.

This home was stunning! The view was so worth it. We had a few hiccups such as internet workers coming to the home, our air conditioning in the master bedroom went out our last two days, and we had to get creative in order to start the grill. Other than that the place was amazing and Lu, the property manager was quick to try and find solutions for the issues! She was very apologetic and sweet. There were tons of activities listed in a booklet that Lu provided us with! If you want a more private place away from people and places, this is the place to be! We had to drive approximately 30 minutes to find nicer restaurants which is not bad at all! Again, I cannot stress how amazing the view was and the pool was perfect for relaxing.

Great house with an amazing view. if you want to be far from the crowds and just relax, this is definitely the place. Regarding the house, fully equipped kitchen, great pool to relax or/and swim, nice bedrooms each with own bathroom. We really enjoyed our stay. The only recommendation is to fix the internet, was not enough to work and have video calls, but they told me soon they will install starlink so that should get it done.

Amazing infinity pool with beautiful sunsets. Lu the concierge is a legend. The surrounding area is stunning with loads of great places to eat. Overall, a fantastic place to stay.

Wow, what an amazing place. We have used air bnb for years and this was our favorite place. We had the opportunity to spend Christmas there this year and it was the most well stocked home ever. I easily made Christmas dinner and dessert. Everything was spotless and every amenity provided. I have never seen a better sunset anywhere in the world. This is a very special place in a very special location. We hope to return again. If you have the chance to stay here don’t hesitate, you will love it! We spent our last 4 days in Costa Rica in this amazing home. What a joy to enjoy its comfort in every detail (toilet linen and fluffy bath towels, very comfortable beds, large washing machine and large dryer...). The views are sublime, the environment rich in birds of all kinds. In short, happiness!!
