I actually can't say enough about how wonderful both Marcela and Eva were. On top of the fact they were great hosts, they took an interest in my adventure and Marcela pointed me towards many local sites, including an excursion to ATM cave that picked me up there. Marcela did a load of laundry for me and Eva helped me get my car out of a ditch. True story. They even told me to let them know when I got to my next destination safely. Beatiful people, and a beautiful spot. One morning Marcela just handed me a banana that grew on the property. Pool was solid as well. Just an all around incredible place and people and I would try to reach out to them again just to say hi even if I wasn't staying there. They also have 4 very good dogs!!

Marcela has curated a beautiful retreat in a beautiful country. We felt so lucky to have stayed here. The location is central to many sights, and yet it feels completely private and remote. The property is meticulously maintained. Marcela is a host that goes above and beyond, from breakfast to recommendations, to helping coordinate excursions. This is a true oasis.

If I had to use one word to describe Marcela's it would be "dreamy" but luckily I get to say more! the property is absolutely beautiful and so peaceful. The location is perfect for going out for day adventures not too far away. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and Marcela, her staff (I feel horrible I have forgotten her name) and the animals make you feel right at home. Marcel was wonderful to chat with and we truly appreciated her knowledge and suggestions. I highly recommend staying here and we will 100% be back!

We loved our stay with Marcela. The place is absolutely lovely. You can tell that the place was created with real attention to detail.

The treehouse is beautifully rustic, very clean, and we LOVED the outdoor shower! Location was perfect to access many things in the area: ATM, Big Rock Falls, and Rio on Pools! We brought books since there is no tv, and internet works well for such a remote area. Marcela herself is the best host-great with local recs, she even picked up food for us one day after we were so tired from the ATM tour AND she sent us off with a soursop from one of her trees to help with my health issue- she's a gem of a human and we are so thankful to have found her place. (We drove into San Ignacio once, and left quickly even more thankful we chose Unitedville- much more peaceful) Tons of birds, coffee on the porch and hammocks were incredible (lemongrass coconut oil & bug spray is a must). We recommend renting a car for freedom- this isn't a walkable area. She provides water, sodas, towels, and coffee daily. She also provides meals on site some nights, and the pups were a joy to greet everyday up front.

Nice, quiet place in the jungle/near the mountains of Belize. A ton of day trips available. The host and staff are great—Marcella coordinates your trips and the staff are phenomenal cooks. Great anchor point for active travelers.

We LOVED staying here! The treehouse was magical, with stunning views of the well landscaped property, and the relaxing sounds of nature. Our favorite part was the breakfast and dinner served at Marcela’s kitchen! It was delicious and so nourishing! We would definitely recommend staying here!

Place was gorgeous and food was great!

The Green Valley Inn is a peaceful retreat with the personality of her owner Marcella who makes you feel right at home. I would recommend this place to any peace loving people who want a quaint and quiet place to stay when touring Belize. The grounds are emaculate, well kept with many trees, flowers, birds and fruit trees. We added Breakfast and Dinner and we were pleasently surprised everyday. They were conveniently timed for us and were delicious everytime. Marcella helped with a knowledgeable tour guide Mario that took us to explore Caracol Ruins and Rio Pools. We also enjoyed all her dogs. We hope to be back someday. Thank you for a memorable vacation.

Marcela is a fantastic host. She gave us some great recommendations, made sure we always had what we needed. The site is very charming, identical to the photos and even better. The full breakfast cooked in the morning allowed us to always start the day well. Thank you Marcela!

It was a great and very unique place to stay. The location is private and quiet. The host has a herd of rescue dogs that will great you. She truly is just a wonderful person. The places immaculate. Far better than what we were expecting. And while the room is small, the space is very well set up

Marcela is a terrific host! She is kind, friendly, and super helpful, and made us feel right at home! The breakfasts were delicious and left us feeling fueled up for a day full of activity. And the property and bungalows were so beautiful! It was so peaceful sleeping among the trees and waking to the sounds of birds and animals around us-- a perfect experience for the Belize jungle!
