Host was very responsive. Location was great. We walked to beach and several restaurants and felt very safe. Two small grocery stores less than a block from the property. The two pools were nice.
Super comfortable apartment and condo amenities! beautiful balcony, 5min walk to the beach. Second time we go and already looking to the next :)
Beautiful, spacious condo. Really enjoyed the big patio off the kitchen/living room space. Bedrooms were spacious and comfortable.
I won’t repeat the positive things people have said about the place and its location. All of those are accurate. At the same time, when we return to Costa Rica, we will not be staying there. My husband and I seriously needed to get out of the States, not only to get away from all that’s going on but also to re-center ourselves and our plans, possibly to include moving to Costa Rica. We would be exploring Guanacaste (with expert help), getting needed rest at the beach (much calmer and restorative than nearby Coco Beach), and doing a lot of out loud thinking through, estimating, and planning. So, besides the warm beach and amazing sunsets, we needed a cool place to retreat to and do this planning, and we figured on a full two weeks in which to do it. We asked the host if her place were a fit for what she had planned, and she she assured us that it was. What happened. First, the internet went out (okay, it happens) and we spent the better part of one morning trying to get it working
The condo was in the best location to walk to restaurants, grocery store, and the beach. It was clean and neat and perfect for our family. The spacious balcony was peaceful and had a great view of the pool and sunset. This is the second time our family members stayed here and we will definitely come back! Montserrat was communicative and we had everything we needed for an easy check-in and comfortable stay.
We had a fun time at Montserrat's. It was even more beautiful than the pictures. We were there for 3 weeks and would return without hesitation. Montserrat shared the activities around during the holidays. Small constructive note, there weren't many supplies (no dishwashing soap, shower, only 2 rolls of toilet paper, no garbage bags, aluminum foil, hardly any salt and pepper. We had to buy everything. For the price of the accommodation and our duration, I would have liked to have had a little more. Otherwise everything was perfect, I highly recommend it.
Awesome location if like us you want to have a relaxing holiday just walking to the beach and pool everyday. The view from the place is lovely & the beach is a short walk and there are many eating places near by (we went to Almar the most for lunch/dinner and breakfast at the places on the beach). The supermarket across the road is great for drinks and fruit. We really enjoyed the complex - the 3 x pools, the gym & the playground. It felt safe and well kept. The apartment is really nice - especially the bedrooms being on opposite sides alows for space. The balcony was used a lot. We appreciated having a washer & dryer, although the dryer isn't that good. The water heat was also inconsistent and never hot enough to bath. The host was great and sent through a super detailed and useful PDF, and was also very friendly, caring and responsive. We loved our stay and will definitely be back (From Calgary Canada - first time in Costa Rica. Traveling with a toddler).
We had a fantastic stay at this condo. It was spacious, spotless, and fully equipped with everything we needed. The location is perfect—just a short stroll to the beach, with excellent restaurants within walking distance. The well-maintained grounds, secure environment, and covered parking were all impressive. Montserrat was incredibly responsive and helpful with any questions we had. We can’t wait to return for another stay!
It's my third time at Montserrat's place and it's definitely one of my favorite vacation spots. The location, security, and comfort of your apartment is unparalleled. Always planning to come back.
We have stayed at this location 3 times now so it feels a bit like home. Everything is as advertised and the location can't be beat. Still loving Costa Rica
We had just under a 2 month stay. Really enjoyed ourselves. 5-minute walk to the beach and many good restaurants within walking distance. Covered parking spot was provided. Condo complex is extremely nice - just 2 buildings with 40 total units and two outdoor pools, a fitness center and a new business center where you can work. Monste was EXTREMELY responsive to a few minor issues that came up, they were addressed immediately. Was our 6th year in the area and one of our best accommodation choices. We would definitely consider staying here again.

We couldn’t be happier with our time in Playa Hermosa and cannot wait to be back. Monserrat was a great host, welcoming, responsive and attentive. The place is very comfortable, nicely decorated, and well equipped. It felt private and safe. Everyone was kind and friendly. Overall we enjoyed our stay and 100% would recommend it.
We love this place. The controlled entrance, the proximity to the beach and essential shopping, the large pool and protected parking. We had a couple of issues while there particularly with the washing machine (broken drain pipe) and the dishwasher (wasn't cleaning the dishes). All these issues were dealt with quickly by the host. Our one suggestion would be for some new furniture in the living room. We are all over 70 and find the chairs to be too low for our aging bodies. We hope to be back some time soon again. Cozy, spacious and safe, second home away from home. I highly recommend this property which we enjoyed a lot. Host was very informative and always responsive.
