We enjoyed the location of the cabin on the river. The cabin is nice with basic amenities. The host's support was excellent. The cabin's neighbors were helpful. You can fish near the place. The cabin has some aspects that need to be improved in terms of cabin maintenance.

Gracias, Israel. Me informa Mauricio Bol, el guardián, que ya tus recomendaciones de mantenimiento fueron atendidas. Lo único que no podemos cambiar es el tráfico de lanchas y cayucos a motor frente a la cabaña, que es ruidoso sobre todo entre 6:00 y 8:00 AM y PM. Lo publicaremos para que los futuros huéspedes estén conscientes. Saludos.

We had a good time in this idyllic place. Communication with Eduardo was excellent, he sent some helpful instructions for the cabin and contacts to make the stay enjoyable. The place was clean and we liked the rustic one, but you could pay better attention to some details at the price: working sink in the toilet upstairs, continuous mosquito net in the kitchen (otherwise no room protected from mosquito, except the bed), ladder from the jetty into the water for easier entry. You could experience flora and fauna up close and relax well. The Rio Dulce is lovely, unfortunately a lot of boats pass by there, which disturbs the tranquility. Juan, neighbor and a friend of Eduardo is nice and helpful and can help you with everything with his tienda and boat.

The place is beautiful, needs renovation but otherwise is a nice place with a beautiful view, not so far Livingston. And very close to the restaurant el Viajero. Eduardo is great, communicates everything about Airbnb and is very nice and ready to help.

I took a family trip to the cabin. The place is a paradise. Eduardo was always attentive to our well-being and was very receptive to recommendations.

Peace, tranquility and full contact with nature and the locals. If you are allergic to mosquitoes, wear repellent.

Uno se siente realmente parte de la naturaleza, se está tranquilo y en total privacidad. Me parece ideal para parejas o para familias. Para amigos también, pero hay que considerar que tal vez se escucha entre cuarto y cuarto ya que no hay cielo falso. Como mejoras, me permito sugerir completar la vajía de cocina y reemplazar las cortinas que dan hacia el río por algunas más formales. Sin embargo no dudaré en regresar a este lugar cada vez que vaya a Río Dulce. Quedamos encantados! 100% recomendado. Eduardo, muy buen anfitrión, así como Byron quien apoya allá.” Saludos cordilales.

The house is a bit run down but the location more than makes up for it. This part of the river is only accessible by boat and only during daylight hours. Federico and his son Byron can give information about the area and the you to Rio Dulce (100Q) or to Livingston (50Q). They can also rent you a kayak which will get you to riverside restaurants in the area. The kitchen looked like it needed some work to make it usable. Not sure if the fridge works. Sitting on the jetty in the evening was the best!

Thanks for the comments, Ben. Yes, the cabin is rustic but everything works. The fridge just needs to be connected to the gas tank since otherwise the gas escapes. You can cook on the four-burner stove with no problem and the sink is small but it does the job. Nevertheless we will try to have the rancho better prepared next time. Thanks again.
