From the moment we arrived, checked into our room, and were welcomed by Theresa, we felt right at home. A lovely, spacious room where you can feel at home. A cozy balcony in the shade all morning. A beautiful garden and lovingly designed common areas. Of course, the surrounding area with Playa Peru, the river, and the volcanoes is also very beautiful. Theresa was always there for us; we had the pleasure of sharing her lovely home with her for a few days. She took a lot of time to introduce us to the animals, the food, and life in Nicaragua. All the animals make the stay even more enjoyable! We extended our stay and will not forget this stop on our trip. It was difficult for us to say goodbye.

We had a very nice 2 nights at Casa Papaki. The room was spacious, well-ventilated, and the bed was very comfortable. From the property, we went to see the San Ramón Waterfall and often drove to Playa Mango; the location was perfect for this. But the best thing about this place was the lovingly prepared breakfast; although it is not included, it is quite affordable and worth every penny.

Ometepe has something special, but this house and Teresa's energy even more. Teresa made us feel at home all the time, always cheerful and with an excellent disposition. Being able to eat right there and so tasty, it's a big plus! We loved being able to learn more about Nicaragua from Teresa and all the recommendations she gave us. If you go, don't miss their coffees and omelets in the morning ♥️.

When you go to a place to stay, you have expectations in mind, because Casa Papaki not only meets them but exceeds them, since its hostess Doña Tere, apart from being a spectacular cook, her human quality surpasses them and makes the place cozy and homey from day one. The time at the Papaki house was very nice. I felt at home. Teresa supported me in everything I needed! Also, I was able to practice my Spanish with her;) the location was great, close to the beach and waterfall! Would love to come back anytime:)

Theresa is wonderful and cooks very well! The place is very nice too, but has an enormous amount of mosquitoes.

Great place, beautiful people, absolutely a recommended stay!

We loved it here, couldn’t recommend it enough but be sure to rent a scooter if you are staying here to explore the rest of the island. Teresa is a wonderful host and will cook you dinner and breakfast if requested (big portions). She also offers a laundry service but one thing to note is that she does not speak any English but you will be able to communicate regardless. The property itself is stunning with a beautiful terrace above the room which you can see the incredible stars at night.

It was a really nice stay. We immediately booked an extra night. Theresa is a super nice woman, and her food is also very tasty! The room was just like in the description.

Beautiful stay at Teresa in Casa Papaki! The place is peaceful and with all the comforts you need. Teresa is a lovely host, full of attention and advice. We also ordered meals,and we enjoyed ourselves. Thank you so much for the short time!

Really nice place where we felt very much. Two beaches with restaurants and kayak rentals are within walking distance. Otherwise, a scooter can be booked through the property, which is really worth it. There are some lovely animals, 2 cows, several chickens and 6 dogs living in the property. The house lady was also super sweet and prepared us food and smoothies for a small extra charge. The garden was also super comfy and we would definitely come back:)

Great farm stay near Playa Mango, a beach where you find mangos falling down, if you go in the right months. Beautiful rooms near Volcano Mombacho. It is on the property of an elderly lady, who is really kind and even offers breakfast, lunch and diner. The rooms do not have any AC and can get quite warm. It is on the country side. Unsurprisingly, you will encounter lots of crickets and mosquitoes. But it won’t be different in another place . Overall, incredible beautiful rooms, nice hosts and great location. If you don’t mind spending the time without an AC, that’s the place to go to. Would come back any time. Thanks for having us.

The Papaki house is a wonderful place! Theresa is a very kind woman and helps you in every case. He has told us about Uruguayan life, has cooked a delicious breakfast and after a round in his wonderful garden we cooked a delicious yuka dessert. We'll be back one day!
