Great place, very conveniently located if you don’t want to rent a car .
Excellent location, a nice place for 2 families. It's just that being located behind a restaurant can be noisy at night or very early in the morning.
We stayed at this very unique and beautiful place in La Fortuna in July 2026. If you are looking for something right in town and walkable to most restaurants and stores then this is a great place to book! We had two families, four people each, and our four kids were all 19+ years old. The two rooms closest to the kitchen were perfect and private for the couples while our kids took the two back rooms. Each had their own private (& beautiful) bathrooms which was a plus. The kitchen and living space is open-air (important to note), but the bedrooms where closed off with excellent air-conditioning. It rained most of the time we stayed here so we were constantly dealing with wet clothes. We tried to utilize the washer/dryer, but I wish I would have purchased some detergent. We each were given one bath towel, but with all the showers we needed after a long day of adventures it would have been nice to have more. (Note: we did request more towels and they were dropped off to us.)
Loved the property, the proximity to town, the convenience of getting to all the things La Fortuna has to offer.
We absolutely loved the place. It’s located in a great area where everything is walking distance yet it’s still private access. The volcano was in sight distance which we loved. The home was aesthetically pleasing and the outdoor/ indoor feel was amazing. I will definitely recommend this spot if you’re looking for something with nature with a modern twist. Just STUNNING.

A group of 10 of us stayed at Rafael’s place and had an amazing time! The spaces were all clean with updated appliances. Everything was in working order and Rafael was very responsive. We had such a fun few days in La Fortuna and would definitely return to Rafael’s place!
My family and I loved our stay! Enclosed in a gated spot right off the strip, it’s as convenient as beautiful with everything within walking distance. The home is so beautiful that we wished we could stay forever! Great layout too, especially if you’re traveling in a group. Two bedrooms are set back from the other two which we loved for a bit of separation but still all together. Highly recommend!
Tropihouse was amazing. Our family of 7 had ample space. The house looked exactly like the pictures. The outdoor plants added to the beauty. It was very close to all the shops, while being in a closed/private space. Grocery stores, restaurants, shopping, attractions all were walkable distance. We loved the place and enjoyed our stay.
Really enjoyed our stay in La Fortuna! Was with a group of 8 and the house fit our needs well. We enjoyed the indoor / outdoor living room area - made us really feel immersed in nature. It was a little loud as it’s on the Main Street but we didn’t mind as it was super walkable for restaurants, coffee, etc. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone coming to La Fortuna with a group! Great value.
I enjoyed my stay! The location was walking distance and close to everything so perfect for those without a car. We did have a couple issues the first day but the host responded quickly and maintenance was there within 5 minutes to fix it. Amazing stay and amazing host! Would definitely stay here again.
Rafael's place was located in the heart of downtown La Fortuna. It was very clean and worked well as a home base for our 2 families to come back to after exploring the jungle for a few days. It was very conveniently located and walkable to restaurants, stores and coffee shops. The home is located directly behind a restaurant and very close to the main street, so you need to be aware that you can hear traffic noise and music/noise coming from bars and restaurants (including karaoke singing) until very late at night. I suggest bringing ear plugs. Even though you are close to the main street, it is set behind a big secure gate and we always felt safe at night.
Amazing location! The host was response and friendly! Worked well with our group of 10, including young kids ages 4-10. 10/10!! Will definitely be back!!
