A very nice place,tidy and clean, full of peace. the host is very good attentive.. the house is a quiet place with very good ventilation

Paul and his wife Jo were very friendly and hospitable. They both speak English and helped us immensely to acclimate to our surroundings. The apartment backs up to the estuary with lovely water views, while the ocean is a short 1 block walk away, with a nice beach area about 3 short blocks away. The city bus stops right out front and is very inexpensive. We did not rent a vehicle for this reason, and Paul and Jo showed us where to purchase fresh fish, veggies, and fruit. Paul definitely fits the bill when it comes to being a Super Host. We spent 10 weeks enjoying sun and heat, walking to take sunset pictures at the beach most evenings. All very relaxing and low key. A great vacation!

We stayed at Paul's place in Puntarenas for three nights. Wish we could have stayed longer! The house was clean and spacious, the location was fantastic, and we had a really great time. I will definitely stay here again if I find myself back in town.

Totally recommend! We spent 3 months there with our baby and had the best time of our lives. Paul and his wife Jo were incredible hosts. We didn't speak much Spanish and they helped us with everything! They answered immediately to any questions or requests we had, helped us with shopping and taking care of other practical things. They became like family! The house is right on the water which is gorgeous and the beach is just across the street. The town is very easy to access with the bus stopping right in front of the house. It is a very local town with lots of fresh produce and the freshest fish we had ever tasted! The town also has buses that go to bigger cities like Jaco, San Jose and more. It is the perfect place to be if you want to have a local experience of Costa Rica and still be close to bigger more touristic cities!

If you are looking a house in Puntarenas I recommend you Paul and Josefina house!

Very good place, clean and Paul was always attentive

Paul and his wife were outstanding. My girlfriend mentioned it was my birthday and next thing you know they offered me a homemade gourmet meal! The best location, close to the action but secluded enough to enjoy the beauty of the bay. The back room/deck is surrounded by water and nature: very peaceful. Each bedroom has AC, plenty of ceiling fans, very comfortable place. Cheap taxis into downtown or to the end of the peninsula. I'd definitely stay here again. Thanks Paul!
