It was a perfect place for my family of nine to stay including two small kids. The lake is stunning and the house is spacious. There are plenty of places to hang out in the house and on the grounds. The pool is shaded for the first half of the day and then gets lots of sun in the afternoon. The lake is very refreshing. Overall, it felt very homey, peaceful, relaxing, and was a great place for our family to stay together and have some bonding time. The only things I would prepare yourself for are a lack of AC in the main space (although the bedrooms do have a great AC) and bugs inside. Definitely keep your food in the fridge or in cabinets. But we were totally fine with this. In fact, the kids loved seeing geckos occasionally on the walls. Camille is great and super helpful and responsive!

We loved our stay at this beautiful lake house, it looked just liked the pictures and the views were amazing. The groundskeepers, Milton and Rosario, were helpful and attentive! The road to get to the home is very rocky and and hard to navigate, so definitely need to be prepared for that element and make sure to bring plenty of food and water as grocery stores are not close to the location. This is not an issue with proper preparation and the location was still worth it! The host was helpful, provided quick responses to questions and good recommendations for local activities like a fantastic boat ride around the lake. We had an incredible trip!!!

The home is in a beautiful location. It accommodated us perfectly. As others have mentioned, good to have 4x4, but just an issue of planning accordingly. The home itself too was very comfortable and clean. The host, Camila, friendly and responsive. The helpers at home, Milton and Rosario, were so kind and helpful. In essence, I highly recommend this rental!

The location was peaceful and serene with an unobstructed view of the lake and volcano. Amazing stay. A bonus was that it was a birder’s paradise with many species of birds around the trees on the property. The pool was amazing with a great view from the lake right from the pool. We also enjoyed having a lot of space in the house and on the property. It was very quiet at night and in the early morning.

Our stay at this Airbnb was both memorable and enjoyable. Upon arrival, we encountered a temporary power outage, which was resolved after a few hours. It's worth noting that the property does not have emergency lights or candles, so it's a good idea to be prepared for such situations. The presence of a friendly and helpful groundskeeper on-site added to the overall positive experience. While the common areas lacked a television, one of the bedrooms did have a TV, providing some entertainment options. The well-equipped kitchen, complete with two refrigerators, a deep freezer, an oven, and a grill, made cooking a breeze. But what truly sets this Airbnb apart is its secluded location and breathtaking views. If you're seeking tranquility and stunning scenery, look no further. This property offers a perfect retreat for those wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of the cities. Trust me when I say, heed their advice about needing a truck with all-wheel drive! Overall great time!

This is the perfect vacation home for multiple families or one large family. It is incredibly kid-friendly. The rooms are comfortable and spacious. We loved that each bedroom had a bathroom. The main living area is a beautiful open concept overlooking the picturesque lake, and there is plenty of space in the exterior to lounge and play. The amazing family that live on the property were accommodating and very helpful with preparing meals, cleaning, and assisting with setting up activities and excursions around the lake. They made the experience stress-free and enjoyable for the whole family. You will not regret your stay here!

Ok so the place definitely is above and beyond the photos. It’s just gorgeous and well appointed and very spacious, view is just stunning. Beds are comfortable too so that was a bonus. It’s definitely a place where you want to stock up on food and just camp there and not leave. Partly because it so great why go anywhere else but also the road to and from is a little challenging for the last few kilometres (we were warned though). But 100% worth it!

Undoubtedly this by far has been the best place I have stay in coatepeque! Worth every penny! About the need of a by 4x4 to get here I think is definitely recommended but you can also take a SUV just make sure is high about the ground and probably go slower and not too loaded. What a breathtaking place, will definitely come back again. Tip: bring inset repellent.

Camila's place is heavenly space. The view and tranquility that you experience there is what we all need to disconnect. The place is perfect, super clean and tidy, and we were greeted at the wonderful entrance. I don't have any complaints, everything was super good. Only if it is necessary to arrive by high car, on the street. But the bad stretch, to get there is short, with care any car can arrive. Definitely worth booking, everyone will want to come back!

Overall a great place and stunning property, but with a few pieces of feedback. We had to request from the host keys to be able to lock the front door at night. The road to get to the house is in very bad shape and it takes 30 minutes just to get from the house through the dirt/rock roads to the Main Street. Again, a beautiful place.

The HOUSE IS ABSOLUTELY ! The pool and the evening garden is worth it , just keep in mind that the pathway is a terrace and it is difficult to enter , but in a proper car everything is perfect

The place is exactly what it looks like if anything the pictures don’t do it justice. It’s beautiful. A few points to make clear the road to get there is not the greatest and you. For sure need 4x4. The doorman is there in case any inconvenience he makes sure the gate gets closed at night and feel safe. The directions Camila sends are straight to the point with pictures no way to get lost. However when you do go in you will think twice before leaving again considering the roads other than that it’s exactly what the pictures show but better !

This property is beyond beautiful! The house was very spacious, equipped with everything you need, and very clean. The view was to die for. The pictures don’t even do it justice. It was worth every penny staying in this beautiful home. The host was very nice and provided very detailed instructions to get to the house. 4x4 vehicle is necessary to get to the villa as it’s a little remote. Request the pool to be heated at least one day in advance because they use gas as the heat source and it takes time. Will definitely stay here again!

The house is comfortable, you can breathe fresh air, the green areas well maintained, the pool is clean and sufficient, Milton and Rosario are very helpful, the beds are very comfortable, you can rest very well in this accommodation.

What a great property on lake Coatepeque! It's on the quieter side of the lake, which brings with it great solitude to help recharge while on vacation. A wonderful option for anyone wishing a retreat style rest.

The house is truly beautiful! The glass walls in the living room are breath taking. The lake is beautiful and right there. Do listen to the other reviews, you'll need a 4 x 4 or a pick up truck. The roads aren't that bad but the houses driveway is extremely steep. We had a pick up truck and had some trouble because it was raining when we got there. Make sure to take beverages and snacks because you do have to drive out to stores & restaurants. But other than that as long as you're ready you'll enjoy it. The host was very responsive & accommodating. The caretaker is also there incase you have any questions about the house/area.

I have to say that this beautiful place I give 5 stars because it is very very nice , beautiful , clean and updated . Love my family and I made us, the truth is it's very nice, but the only thing I didn't like was that I wasn't told that the street to be able to get there needed a 4x4 car and I wasn't prepared with a car like that , so I hope my comment can help someone prepare with a good car , because the truth is it's worth renting that house no one who spent a day there can say that they didn't like it.

It’s a great location but the road is horrible. The people that own the properties all need to pitch in to build a road. It’s beautiful but probably will stay in another house that the road is better.

The location and house was spectacular! The only thing is the arrival to the house on the road but Camila (super host) was in continuous communication and I send good address signs to find the house. The house itself looks exactly as they show it. A beauty!

Perfect home on a beautiful lake. A great place for groups. We were celebrating a birthday and Camila and her team were amazing hosts. We even had an awesome private chef cook dinner for us one evening. We can’t wait to come back!

The house is very nice, the view and access to the lake is excellent. Unfortunately, the street is neglected, but when you get to the place you forget about it. Bringing a 4x4 car would be ideal. The host is very friendly and always takes care of her guests.

Beautiful stay, the view is amazing and worth it. The host is attentive no issues with communicating, very narrow street to get there so a 4x4 is highly recommended. But the place is huge and beautiful also very safe. An experience we wont forget. I will definitely consider coming back.

Everything about the house and the view was just absolutely lovely. It felt like we were in a dream; we were talking about when we could come back before we'd even left.

The property is very beautiful and the house the same. A lot of open space to enjoy and great scenery throughout. It is worth the value to come here and enjoy! The road is bit bumpy to arrive so bring a SUV. Well worth the trip though! I would do it again!

This is a beautiful place with an amazing view of the lake. Internet worked great and plenty of space for everyone. Only con is that to get to the place, you need a pickup truck for traction. Once you enter the place the way down is very steep and it’s difficult to go back up for a SUV 🚙. You will burn the rubber on your tires at the very least. Going in a pick up truck is ideal. The host was great and nice. I would stay at this place again but would take a pickup truck 🛻. We damaged our vehicles when we were leaving the house.

Amazing place to stay on Lake Coatepeque. I loved this house so much we didn’t want to leave. Beautiful place. House keepers make you feel like royalty and take care of you each and everyday. Avoid leaving the house on Sundays because traffic is insane. Lots of people come to the lake this day. Traffic won’t stop until about 7pm. Make sure you get a Jeep or 4x4 car to rent. Necessary for the road to get to the house. (This is very important) Beautiful drive in and the view will take your breathe away. If we get the chance to come back we will absolutely stay here. Camila is absolutely wonderful and her communication timing is in real time through WhatsApp. Thanks again Camila! 6 STAR rating if possible!

This house was very beautiful located right in front of lago. We had so much fun and relaxed! Next time We go we will be staying for more days. Make sure you go on a truck As the roads are a little bit scary and small cars can get stuck.

A luxury experience. The house is really beautiful, I loved the layout and decor of the spaces, and most importantly, the cleanliness of the whole place. The location is perfect for privacy but even more so for the panoramic view of all Lake Coatepeque; and the view of the Ilamatepec Volcano from the main room of the house is spectacular and incomparable. It's equipped with everything you need, and more-it's great for large groups. The green areas of the place in perfect condition. The people who take care of the house are very attentive and were attentive at all times, adding that our stay was a better experience. In short, Camila's house is paradise and she is an excellent host!
