very quaint and comfortable cabin. Everything you will need to have a pleasant stay is there. Brian, the host, is a super nice guy who will make you feel at home and willingly provides a lot of local information to make your stay a good one.Try his choice of sodas, you'll be glad you did.

Brian was a great host, very friendly and helpful and made sure I was set with everything I needed. The space was private behind his house which felt safe and he was great point of contact for any needs that arose! Would highly recommend staying here, was a great location and felt more authentic and a true cultural experience the way he had his cabinas set up.

This is a beautiful, peaceful haven in a lovely secure, plant-filled courtyard. Brian is kind, thoughtful and helpful. The space is cute, comfortable, and well-equipped. The design is fairly al-fresco, which helps keep the place cool in the heat but means there is not a lot of sound or visual privacy between the two rooms. Not necessarily a problem for us, but worth being aware of depending on who you are staying with.

Steps away from Deevena, Mycelium, and Cafe Playa Negra, this comfortable 2-bedroom cabina is close to fantastic dining options. The kitchen in the unit is basic, but had everything we needed to make breakfast and lunch. Air conditioning is ICY cold. The beach at Playa Negra is about 7-8 minutes on foot, as is the amazing Corazon Surf Cafe. A 20 minute walk gets you down to Kontiki Playa Negra. This is your perfect, comfortable, private, peaceful getaway spot. Brian is an excellent host, and well deserving of the Superhost title. I highly recommend staying here!

Brian’s place was great. Central to the town and short distance to the beach and local restaurants. He gave us recommendations on places to eat nearby and was very responsive and nice. The place was clean and felt safe for our stay.

The house in the picture is where Brian lives. The accommodation is in a secure courtyard behind the house. A single level, 2 bedroom, bathroom and kitchen/livingroom combo. There is a shower spout in the courtyard to rinse off the sand or just cool off. The beach and restaurants and yoga studio are within short walking distance! Brian is very friendly and informative.

Brian is a total gem! He has a really wonderful vibe and his property is beautifully kept (he did all of the natural landscaping and it's really peaceful and tranquil. Coffee on the porch meant being surrounded by a tropical garden and the occasional hummingbird visit, inside was fresh with the AC, there's an outdoor shower to rinse off sand, and the indoor shower has multiple heat settings for the water and good water pressure. The bedrooms are open-air to the living room/kitchen and each other at the ceiling and there is also a passthrough opening that keeps the rooms well lit by daylight (if you're looking for total privacy in your bedroom this would not be the right place for you), but we were traveling with friends for the weekend and hanging out together or out of the house most of the day so it didn't bother us. It's a quick drive 3-5 min (or a walk, probably 15 min?) to the beach at negra or a 15-20 min drive over to Avellanas. Definitely a great spot and well priced!

Do not try to follow coordinates. They will bring you to a specific point in the middle of nothing. When you get to the general area, type "Colibri Cabins" into your GPS and it becomes VERY easy to find. There are very few numbered addresses in Costa Rica so this is often the only way to find places. Brian was very helpful and accommodating in our late arrival. showed us straight to our cabin in the middle of a impeccable garden. This cabin is everything you can ask for in such a lovely, unique country. Pura Vida
