I would like to express my dissatisfaction with my recent stay at a property in Guanacaste, Costa Rica. The reservation cost was close to 3 million colones, which created high expectations in terms of quality, service and overall experience. Unfortunately the stay did not meet those expectations. Throughout the entire week, no cleaning service was provided. Despite this at the end of the stay the house host requested an additional payment for cleaning, arguing that dishes were not washed and that there was disorder with sheets, pillows and some food items. This reflects normal use of a property over several days and does not justify an extra charge especially when no cleaning service was included during the stay. The property itself was not up to the standard expected for its price. The kitchen lacked many basic accessories, making it inconvenient to use and the overall decoration felt cheap and inconsistent with the premium rate that was charged. The host was aggressive and rude.
