This place was kept very clean and everything functional, very close to the cloud forest and just off the main road making it easy to get around without a car. Safe place to park if you do have a car and a great place to stay to explore around Monteverde Lively breakfast was also provided as mentioned

Jesus, the guy who runs the hostel is very nice and kind. Very quiet place, with large shared kitchen, good breakfast. Recommended!

Our stay in La Suerte was great. The place was very clean and the communication super easy, there was always someone in the house if you had any questions. We were also able to book our activities directly at the hostel. The breakfast was very tasty, for many eaters maybe a rather small portion;) The location was also great, quiet but still very quickly accessible on foot.

Clean place with friendly hosts! The blanket on one of my beds was covered in sand when I came in, but other than that, the place was a delight! Nice common spaces for guests.

This was a great hostel to stay at in Monteverde. Our room was clean and comfortable, the staff at the desk were great and super helpful, and the breakfast in the morning was yummy! Everything was pretty clean all the time, even the kitchen. And it's a quick and easy walk into the town too.

The staff was very pleasant and welcoming. I didn't ask how to make the shower get hot water becausewe were in a time crunch. But it was a pleasant stay.

The family clearly takes a lot of pride in the hostel that they have created. They are friendly and kind; a couple speak perfect English, others patiently encourage Spanish conversation. My kids and I shared a private room and had no issues. The breakfast provided was good.

One of the best places I've stayed. Excellent hosts, the place is excellent. * Perfect location: If you come by bus from Puntarenas, it leaves you right on the corner; or if you come by car there is space to leave it. The accommodation is less than 5 minutes' walk from the centre. * Security: The area is very safe. * Cleanliness and comfort: The place is very spacious and very clean, it has hot water and comfortable beds, not to mention an excellent breakfast with homey touch that will help you start all your activities in Monteverde. It has several areas where you can rest and you can watch an excellent sunset. *Hosts: They are great people, they were always helping us, they were very attentive and made us feel at home. I definitely highly recommend the place, it has a lot of magic.

We were pleasantly surprised with this hostel, Hostel La Suerte. It is family owned and run so the hospitality is excellent. Benedicto's wife, Elvia, cooked us a tasty traditional Costa Rican breakfast, and his son helped us with checking in and out. He was also super helpful with recommendations for activities and restaurants in the area. There is an ample communal kitchen and a big balcony off the communal living room with seating to relax and enjoy the beautiful view of the Gulf of Nicoya. The room was clean, shower was hot, and it was perfect for my small family of 3.

The Unique selling point of this place is the family. Thee are so nice and inviting. The son speaks perfect English, the dad paints beautiful paintings, the mom cooks wonderful breakfasts, the daughters and granddaughters are lovely. One can dance really well. You feel at home immediately. The place is superclean and there is enough space to hang out.
