The unit is a great size—very spacious, easy to find, and in a convenient location. It was also nice that beach chairs were provided. Unfortunately, our overall experience didn't match the price. The unit feels more like a business than a home, with little attention to the guest experience. The bathroom was dirty when we arrived and overall the cleaning seemed very superficial. The dish sponge looked old and worn, to the point that I didn't feel comfortable using it to cook or wash dishes. One of the mattresses was in very poor condition, and you could clearly feel the springs, making it uncomfortable to sleep on. The unit is also quite dark, and the downstairs A/C was not working, which left one of the bedrooms without air conditioning. While the size and location are definite positives, the cleanliness, comfort, and maintenance issues made it difficult to feel that the stay was worth the price.

I am really saddened by this type of feedback when it seems that everything is fine. The guest is asked if they need anything and that they can communicate via Airbnb or WhatsApp message. They were allowed to check in at 12 noon when check-in is at 3 pm, 3 hours early. Regarding the sponge, we have a sustainability policy because we live in a country that is pure nature. We provide a bucket for organic waste, a bag for recycling, and we have a sign explaining our policy. It is true that we do not put a new sponge in each room when most stays are for one night. That would be 30 per month. There are new sponges in the kitchen that they could take, but we leave the decision to the guest. The unit was not dirty, and it is an apartment with 3 bathrooms and 3 bedrooms. You mention that one bathroom was dirty, and a check was done before you entered, and that is not the case. Regarding the mattress, we have not had any complaints, but it is possible that an inconvenience occurred. The strange thing is that the day before and on previous days, we have had reservations and we have received a score of 10, and we have not been told anything about the mattress. The listing never mentions that the small room downstairs has air conditioning. It says that it has a ceiling fan and a floor fan, and the rest is on the second floor, where there is air conditioning in the living room. We are not perfect, but if a problem arises, we are willing to resolve it. I am sorry for your opinion.

We had a very enjoyable stay at Maria's place! It was clean, spacious and in a great location. She was also so kind and helpful. Highly recommend for any big groups visiting Tamarindo!

Maria is very kind and responsive. She did her best to help us where she could. There were just a few issues: 1. There was trash left behind from previous guests on the bed and bathrooms. 2. The AC doesn’t work on the first floor so the bedroom was usable. 3. The parking is difficult if you have a larger vehicle. 4. There are no toiletries aside from a small bar of soap. 5. Multiple roaches That being said, it definitely is an excellent location and close to anywhere you need to be in Tamarindo. I believe if Maria gets a better cleaning service this could be an excellent place to stay!

We loved staying at Maria José’s place. This is a private, quiet, and safe place. The accommodation is functional, but it could do with a refresh to better meet current standards. The pool is clean, and we were often alone, watching the birds and monkeys that came to entertain us in the trees. Maria Jose was attentive to our needs. The place is in a great location, within walking distance of the beach and restaurants. It was a great experience.

If you are saying here for like one night before you fly out then the place is a great price for what it is. However if you plan to stay here for an extended time then do yourself a favor and pick somewhere else. The bathrooms smell and have leaks and are disgusting. It is not bad if you just stay one night otherwise I would stay away. The host though was very helpful, nice, responsive, and flexible so I hate leaving this review but I have to be honest.

The place is very nice, safe and it is very well equipped, the location is very good, there is a pharmacy, supermarket, restaurants and more, the silver is about a 15-minute walk.
