Cool surf house, stylishly decorated and well equipped. Great, bright kitchen overlooking the garden/pool. Rooms tiptop with comfortable beds. Very nice outdoor area. Good, quiet location within walking distance of the beautiful Playa Hermosa. Child-friendly. Good boards for rent. Host Fernando is very nice and easy-going. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I will gladly return.

It was nice to stay at the Chante! Both Fernando and the super friendly volunteer girls helped us with our luggage, gave us water as soon as we arrived, both us and my dog, and recommended places in the area. I fully recommend it if you go with a dog, they are super PET friendly. It felt very cozy. About 10 minutes from Santa Tere but the beach nearby is beautiful.

This surf house is the place to be if you want to have a nice surf vacation! Fernando is a super nice host and also a very good surf instructor, the house has everything you need, the beach is super close and you get to share with wonderful fellow surfers! Had a really great time here! 🤙

We had a great stay at El Chante. Fernando is a thoughtful host who went out of his way to get my girlfriend medication when she got sick. On top of that, he is a great surf instructor!

Fernando is a very kind, friendly and collaborative person, he helped us with the exact address, with the entrance to the place at midnight that we arrived, the whole place is beautiful 😍 the pool, the exercise and meditation area, the rental of tables and private classes, the breakfast to start the day with energy , in general everything was very good, thank you x everything

We loved staying with Fernando, the room was clean and had everything you need as well as air con so it was very comfortable. The location is amazing and next to one of Costa Rica a most beautiful beaches. We preferred it to Santa teresa as the beach was much quieter and had great surf. Thanks very much !

My dog and I loved our stay here. El Chante is the perfect place to surf and chill. Fernando is an awesome host that makes sure everyone is having a good time. The 5-minute walk to the beach, restaurants, store, and more make it awesome, yet also a very quiet location. The whole place is squeaky clean and well cared for. Very dog-friendly too! If you want to surf and relax, this is the spot!

This was my first time travelling outside of Canada/US. I'm a solo traveller and I don't speak Spanish. I took a shuttle from Liberia airport right to El Chante for $75. Easy to find and easy to get here! Fernando's place exceeded my hopes/expectations! I felt right at home as soon as I arrived. Stick Figure playing on the stereo and just such a good vibe! The place is beautiful and well kept. There's lots of space to lounge and chill by yourself or hang out with other guests. I met some of Fernando's friends and family and I felt so welcomed here. The room and space is as shown in the pictures. The beach is a 5 minute walk away. There is a small grocery store 2 minutes away as well as a few restaurants in walking distance(5-10 minutes) The store has all basic necessities if you don't want to go right into Santa Teresa. Also, Fernando is an excellent surf teacher. I took several lessons and learned so much! He knows his shit!! booked for 1 week, stayed for 4! Gracias Fernando!!

We had an amazing experience. Initially, we were going to stay for 12 days and ended up staying another 5 days… Josué, Fernando , Andrea and Miriam welcomed us so well that we wanted to extend our stay. Hermosa is the perfect alternative for those who enjoy tranquility and want to avoid the hustle and bustle of Santa Teresa. The house is super close to the market and has two restaurants super close by and we are a 3 minute walk to the beach ! There are often good waves. Thank you for everything , we will always be back ❤️
