Amazing week for our group of 6. Location is ideal and quiet, 5 minutes walk to everything. We had the chance to see monkeys a few days while relaxing around the pool. The gardener Antonio was always around to help if needed. We loved our vacations.

A wonderful place, very cozy and comfortable. The view is incredibly beautiful at all times. All the staff are very friendly and quickly take care of whatever you need. I loved the place. Tony is an excellent host, very friendly, and very attentive to our needs during our stay.

Outstanding stay! Beautiful view of the beach. The pool was awesome with monkeys hanging out in the trees eating mangos!! House is walking distance to downtown. We hope to be back one day!

Great location for a multigenerational family trip. Close enough to restaurants, shops and activities but quiet enough that we only heard waves, birds and monkeys. At a less crowded end of beach - perfect for younger kids. Toni was extremely helpful with airport transfers, connecting us with a chef, reserving golf carts and surfing lessons and surf boards. She was very responsive. The house itself was nicely laid out for a group trip. We faithfully followed directions to keep food in the kitchen and stored in the fridge and had no issues with ants.

Our stay at Corona Del Mar was wonderful as the home and location were ideal for a family vacation. Deborah and Toni were great to communicate with, and Antonio the groundskeeper was very friendly and super helpful at a moments notice. The size of the home (upstairs unit) was perfect for our family of 8 adults and three small children. The immediate beach access at the quieter end Tamarindo’s amazing beach was great, and it was a 10-15 walk to restaurants, shops, and anything else you may need. The location is simply perfect!

Beautiful beachfront location. House was nice just a heads up that it doesn’t accurately describe that it is a shared space. Also beware there are a lot of ants but other than that loved the location very close to everything

So disappointed with this stay. It was a low point of our trip for sure. We paid a huge daily fee ($1,200+ CAD per day) for a run-down unit in a multi-unit home fronting the beach. The “Tamarindo sunsets” were a 10-minute walk up the beach. The home was in exceptionally rough condition relative to the daily cost. The grounds fronting the beach were well kept, the host was responsive, and Antonio was a gentleman to deal with. But the house itself was misrepresented and disappointing. Ultimately, an ant infestation throughout the home, including the bedrooms, was the tipping point for me with four kids under nine. We left after a couple of nights. I’ve rented 10+ places in Costa Rica, and this was our most disappointing but also the most expensive. If you only value beachfront, then you will love this property. If you also value a well-hosted home that is thoughtful and well appointed for the money paid, then this is not the home for you.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re genuinely sorry to hear that your stay did not meet your expectations and that you chose to leave early. That said, we’d like to respectfully clarify a few points for future guests. The home was not misrepresented. The listing includes over 80 photos clearly showing the interior, exterior, and surrounding area, and the size is accurately listed at 1,600+ square feet. It is also clearly described as the upper-level beachfront beach house/apartment within a multi-unit property. Regarding pricing, the rate for your stay was $850 USD per night, which is very competitive for a 4-bedroom beachfront home in Tamarindo. Currency conversion can understandably make the total feel higher, but the nightly rate is in line with the local market for this type of location and size. As for the ants, we are located directly on the beach in a tropical ecosystem—this environment naturally includes wildlife such as ants, insects, birds, and monkeys. During your stay, we did not receive any communication about an ant issue. Had we been notified, we would have addressed it immediately using our standard toxin-free pest control methods, and provided guidance on food storage and crumb cleanup, which can be especially challenging with young children (something we completely understand). We always strive to be responsive and proactive, and we regret that we weren’t given the opportunity to resolve this during your stay. While we understand that this property may not have been the right fit for your family’s expectations, we do wish you the best in your future travels and appreciate you taking the time to share your perspective.

Our stay here was excellent. The view of the ocean from the porch is spectacular, the grounds were very well maintained and the beach is literally in the backyard. The house is as described - comfortable, well-equipped and clean. There was plenty of room for our group of seven adults. And the location is easily walkable to tons of shopping and restaurants - either via the beach or walking on the streets. Deborah was highly responsive and helpful throughout our stay.

Amazing location - straight onto the beach, and at the quiet end of it, possibly the best location in the whole of Tamarindo. House has character, although this meant not able to fully seal from outside insects, but we didn't have any real issues with that. We knew there wasn't air conditioning in the living area, and although it was warm at times, the fans were very efficient. Antonio the housekeeper was incredibly helpful and friendly and even washed our car for us without being asked!

Deborah's place was on a beautiful beach and within walking distance of any needs including dining and shopping. The views of the ocean and sunsets were spectacular. Her team helped and communicated well. I recommend the place but we did have an issue that I'm hoping would be addressed for future guests. There was an ever present ant problem. At check in we were advised to keep our food in the fridge because of this and we did. Yet the ants were constantly seen at the sink and counters as well as in our bathroom. Possibly this is a problem that can't be avoided with a house so close to a sandy beach. One other minor issue is the place probably could use a more thorough cleaning of the windows, which were dirty and the light fixtures that had numerous dead bugs present. I appreciate we are in a rainforest, beach setting, so once again this is probably an issue not easily addressed. But before coming to Deborah's place we stayed in Monte Verde and the house was exceptionally clean.

During the rainy season, ants are a common problem in Tamarindo, at Corona del Mar we address the ant issue with natural fumigation practices weekly as we don't want to create a toxic environment for our guests. We had an absolutely magical time at this Airbnb! It was worth the extra money and the maintenance man on property was so helpful and so kind. We really appreciate him! Deborah and Toni were both very responsive to any needs we had-sometimes within minutes! We would love to go back again someday, they were wonderful hosts and the property was PARADISE!! 😍

The place was perfect! The beach was right at your foot steps. Antonio, was very helpful throughout our stay. Pictures don’t do it justice would definitely stay there again next time and Costa Rica.

Our stay was absolutely perfect! The location couldn’t be better, just steps from the beautiful beach. We were warmly greeted upon arrival with a tour of the home, which was spotless and perfectly set up for our family. Everything we needed for the beach, towels, chairs, and more was provided. Any questions we had about the area were answered quickly and helpfully. This place is now incredibly special to our family as our daughter got engaged here during our stay! We would stay here again and again — highly recommend!
