We stayed in a house right next to the one originally planned, with very good comfort. The river just for us with fresh water pools as well as the waterfall 10 minutes' walk away were a beautiful and so peaceful environment. The large terrace is a great plus for living comfortably. Thank you for your kindness Ruben.

The place is really a dream. I would describe it as a riverfront, it far exceeded our expectations. An ideal place for those who love nature, hiking, birds and tranquility.

I have visited many cabins to rest and this was the best, the constant sound of the river gave me a lot of peace. I slept with the window open listening to the sounds of the forest and I felt safe and free. I went to the river and literally, it was me and nature enjoying that rich moment. The host Rubén👍is a 20 out of 10, always available for inquiries. Good internet, good TV, and hot water for the shower made me feel like I was in a 5-star hotel. I like to cook so I took advantage of the space and utensils to prepare an Italian Pomodoro pasta. I'll come back many times, I promise. Thank you Rubén, and congratulations on having a magical place to rest.

The place is very comfortable and safe, it has everything you need to relax and for a good stay, Ruben is super attentive and responds quickly to any questions or needs. The place is very clean and the bedding smells so good, you can tell it's clean. 100% recommended

Costa Rica is more than just beaches & surfing. Ruben’s mountain cabin has beautiful views, a private “eco-spa” in the stream, and a swimming hole nearby, fruit trees, and birds of all kinds including Toucans. It’s a short walk to the market and bus stops, a 15 min trip to San Isidro by car or taxi, and a half-hour to Dominical. Days are hot and it gets cool at night, and it is always quiet, just the sounds of nature - reminds me of being at a cottage in Canada in summer.

We had a wonderful stay. We loved the place, we definitely want to come back. Ruben was a great host, he was very attentive.

Our month-long stay at Ruben’s cabaña was magical. We loved the private, tranquil outdoor setting, surrounded by nature and beauty. The birds and wildlife were spectacular, walking around the neighborhood and surrounding area was breathtaking, the river is beautiful. The cabin itself had everything we needed, the kitchen is full of appliances, the bedroom was clean and comfortable, the shower was hot! And the living space on the balcony was dreamy, day and night. Don’t pass up the opportunity to spend time here, it’s a gem of a place!

Great value for the price! Well equipped kitchen, excellent WiFi, beautiful views, charming night lights around the patio, refreshing creek to soak in, comfortable beds. We will definitely return on our next visit to this area.

Ruben is friendly and practical. His sense of justice is impeccable. As for the room, the sheets are very clean and everything is very clean. Maybe it could be a little bit bigger. The room outside is beautiful. You can hear the beautiful sounds of nature. And you feel the peace that you sometimes need.

It was a great experience, for nature lovers. It's an amazing place to get away from the everyday life and immerse yourself in a magical pool, which gives you amazing massages, it's worth living the experience.

The place is exactly what I was looking for to spend a few days as a couple and with our dog. Absolute peace of mind, sound of the river and the birds and the incredibly beautiful mountain in front.

What a wonderful spot! The location is really something special. It’s a small farm setting with great proximity to other amenities. When we arrived there were toucans in the trees. The private swimming hole is gorgeous, and the creek was fun to explore. We also enjoyed driving the local roads, and a trip to the San Isidro Farmers Market was easy and highly recommended. The house itself is a work in progress, but it had everything we needed and was very comfortable. A big covered porch to hang out our things to dry after being rained on while camping the night before was fantastic. The kitchen is well appointed with a gas burner and all the tools you need to cook a great meal. Cold water only in the shower. Reuben was so friendly and made us feel very comfortable. He even brought us local coffee and bananas! We could hang out and listen to the cicada and birdsong serenade on that porch forever. We hope to be back someday to see the finished product! Definitely recommend this stay!

The place is amazing, the location, the weather, the cleanliness and order of the place, how complete the kitchen and bathroom are breathtaking. The balcony is simple but very comfortable it has two tables, two benches, two chairs, several armchairs and impressive lighting for the night, the decorative light and the orange light for the night is extremely beautiful. The room has everything you need two beds (double and one individual) in which their pillows, sheets and quilts smelled incredible and extremely clean, you will find a strip with several connectors, a large screen and a speaker to put music, they indicated that there was repellent and was of excellent quality. The impeccable bathroom in toilet and smells still putting the cold water was extremely nice, it has cloths to dry with a great aroma and cleanliness I have a lot to add from the place but the kitchen was impeccable and has all the utensils and appliances. A beautiful and super recommended place for visitors!
