A wonderful stay in this gem of a house on the side of the mountain. What can I say about the view, the tranquility, and the coolness of the pool! Access to Carillo Beach was easy and close to the house. In addition, the beach is not too crowded, and it is mostly local people who go there. Thank you for sharing this treasure :)

Absolutely wonderful stay in Playa Carrillo! We truly enjoyed our time at this beautiful Airbnb. The house was lovely, very comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. You can really feel that a lot of care and attention has gone into creating a welcoming place. The location is fantastic, peaceful and surrounded by nature, but the absolute highlight was the view. It was honestly breathtaking and almost unreal at times. Waking up and looking out over this scenery was something very special. Playa Carrillo and the surrounding area are incredibly beautiful and this house was the perfect place to enjoy it all. We felt very comfortable, relaxed and grateful to have stayed here. Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful home with us. We would absolutely recommend it and would love to come back one day!

After a busy few days in Monteverde hiking in the cloud forest, we were looking forward to a relaxing beach experience. From the amazing view, lovely pool, welcome fruit and coffee, to the wild life that came to visit, we couldn't ask for a better experience!

We were so excited to spend the 2nd half of our CR trip here and it did not disappoint!!! I’m all about a view on vacation and I can’t imagine a more stunning one! The home, the finishings, the cleanliness, the amenities, the pool and the view are all spectacular! Our time there was very hot/humid outside so while at some moments it would have been nice to have air in the main parts of the house, the bedroom air conditioning was perfect and it really wasn’t a sacrifice for every other amazing feature of this house! You do need a 4WD to get up to the home, but it’s more than worth it! The rental mgmt company escorted us to the property the first time and explained everything we needed to know. From there we had no problems navigating, even at night. We had one issue with the pull out garbage falling off the rails and they came to fix it immediately. Having 3 bedrooms, all with ensuites was amazing! I hope we can book again someday. Thank you for sharing your home! Pura Vida!

Our stay at this villa was magical. Upon arriving, my family and I were all stunned with its beauty and gorgeous view of the ocean as well as the mountains. The drive up to the villa is rocky, but the view is so worth it. About a five minute drive to Carillo Beach and a 15 minute drive to Samara. The open layout is beautiful and the photos don’t even capture its full beauty and space. The pool was very clean. In the mornings we saw monkeys and heard howler monkeys and more! Russell was a wonderful host and there were even fresh fruits and coffee! Definitely want to come back in the future.

This house is better than the photos. It is well laid out for a group. The pool was so refreshing and quick drive to beach was awesome. We highly recommend this property.

We loved our stay at Russell's home. It was everything and more from the moment we stepped inside and saw the amazing view. The house is great and has everything you need for a great trip. The management company were awesome and very helpful. The drive up the hill to get to the house is worth it. We had a Toyota Rav 4 and it was perfect. Open the doors and let the breezes in, AC in the bedrooms worked great. We would defiantly stay again. Thank you for a great Vacation!

Russell’s Casa is a hidden gem. Pictures don’t do it justice. The view is breathtaking. The setup of the house provides privacy for everyone especially having a bathroom attached to each room. Samara Rentals are extremely responsive and available to help with the house. Excellent communication. We loved our vacation, the house and Playa Carrillo.

Absolutely breathtaking! This house is truly out of this world, and honestly, the pictures don't even do justice to how stunning the views and the property actually are. It was the perfect base for our stay. We had some incredible adventures nearby—the spearfishing with Drift was a thrill, and the horseback riding with Horse Jungle was a highlight of our trip. We loved the balance of the location; we spent our time between the peaceful, pristine Carrillo beach and the lively Sámara beach when we wanted to enjoy the great restaurants and bars right on the sand. A 10/10 experience!

A very nice villa with a beautiful view overlooking the sea, located in an area that is difficult to access without a 4x4 but very quiet and peaceful, which we recommend.

All you really need to know is that we already booked a return trip during our stay! This home is everything we love about the Playa Carrillo area. 4WD may be helpful during rainy season- but definitely not necessary in January. AC only in bedrooms as advertised, but the breeze is amazing when you open up the house! Somehow the pool is cold and clean constantly. We loved Gusto in Samara for a beach club vibe, but parking on Playa Carrillo with a cooler and snacks was unmatched. Gorgeous beach sunset! It was an absolute dream and we will be back!

The villa is perfect for a family. Very close to Carillo beach which is, from my point of view, the most beautiful beach in the area. The villa is full of light, a superb view. Well equipped and very safe. Recommended!
