2BR Cabin in San Blas Islands

Charlot

Excellent, 7 days ago

We immediately felt at home with Ori and Diego. What fantastic and inspiring people. They made us feel comfortable from start to finish. We snorkeled for up to 3 hours, and they took us by motorboat to almost uninhabited islands. Diego took us to the best snorkeling spots, and Ori made every meal a feast. It was a magical experience that we will both remember for a long time. Thanks for the super pleasant stay.

Three unforgettable days spent on a boat in the San Blas. Oli and Diego, our skippers, were simply adorable: two lovers of the region who know every corner of the archipelago and who share their passion with rare generosity. Oli is a true master chef — the meals on board were a treat from start to finish. As for Diego, he took great care of every snorkeling outing, attentive and reassuring, always ready to show us the most beautiful spots. The San Blas are simply stunning, with superb backdrops that will remain etched in our memories. An experience we recommend without a second thought. Thank you to them for the perfect stay!

It was one of the most wonderful experiences we've had on our travels. There, by day, we are pirates; we discover islands, and the sea is ours. At night, we lie down on the bow, and the sky and the stars are ours. An infinite feeling of freedom. There, we were able to relax and disconnect from everything we left behind on land (including our shoes!) The only thing we wore those days was fins.) From spending hours snorkeling among the corals and all the marine life that surrounds them, to dolphins, sharks, and stingrays leaping out of the water, it's nature in all its splendid beauty. Captain Guadalupe welcomed us into her “home” with all the comfort, love, and affection. And on top of that, she cooks divinely (I brought home several new recipes from there to try). With Esteban, we explored the coral reefs and islands. We loved the time we spent on that sailboat, both the moments alone with nature and the moments spent with Guadalupe and Esteban. We will definitely be back, and as soon as possible!

The sailing trip around the San Blas Islands was absolutely beautiful. It was very cozy and relaxing, just what we needed to unwind. The three people on board were very nice and warm, which made you feel at home right away. The food was also very good and made the stay perfect. The surroundings are simply stunning – turquoise water, small islands, and incredible natural beauty. Overall, a great experience all around, which I would definitely recommend.

First off, Guadalupe was not there. Throughout the communication, we were lead to believe that Guadalupe would be captain of the boat. But it was an Argentinian couple. They did an excellent job and we felt like we were in good hands......it was just a bit weird that it wasn't Guadalupe. Also, we had some challenges with our transfer to the boat as we were coming from another island. We were of the understanding that the boat would pick us up on the island that we were at but then it was determined that a boat would drop us off at the sailboat. And that came with an additional cost that wasn't mentioned. All else was absolutely incredible! Gorgeous scenery, attentive hosts, good condition of the boat. No regrets.

Wow we have just come back from 11 days in San Blas with Guadalupe. It was everything we hoped for and so much more. I took a risk by going for that length of time, most people go for 2/3 days. So glad we went there for all of our holiday because it was beyond beautiful and we were looked after so well. Guadalupe is a fantastic chef, every meal was different and made from fresh local ingredients. For me she made everything gluten free. We choose to do one night in a cabin in the middle of our stay to break things up and this worked really well. We spent our days snorkeling (which was better than a lot of dives I've done) in some of the best coral in the world, with nurse sharks, rays and beautiful fish. Local community are super friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed volleyball in the evenings, and lazy days on the beaches or paddle boarding. Stephen was also an amazing host who guided us on snorkel trips or took us to some of the local bars. We can't thank them enough for the best trip ❤

Highly recommended for adventure and nature lovers! Guadalupe and Estaban are very friendly and hospitable, making us feel very welcome. Guadalupe cooks every meal deliciously fresh, healthy, and locally sourced. The surroundings are beautiful, remote, and pure. Nature as it is. Guadalupe knows the area and the Guna people, allowing us to experience a bit of local life. In short, sailing with Guadalupe is a truly authentic way to experience the San Blas Islands.

One of the best, most unique trips we have taken. 4 nights truly wasn’t long enough! Guadalupe, Estoban, and Magga were friendly, welcoming, and made us feel completely at home. Spending 5 days on a sailboat with strangers can feel intimidating, but we truly felt connected to them as soon as we got there. We sailed each day to a new island and were given the freedom of how we wanted to spend our time. Guadalupe prepared a variety of beautiful, delicious meals - it felt like we were at a restaurant! We would recommend this trip to anyone. San Blas is incredible and exploring the area on Thyra will exceed your expectations. Guadalupe, Estoban, Maga - thank you for being amazing hosts. What a beautiful life you live! Love, your new friends Katie & Ross

We had a unique stay aboard Thyra and one of the most beautiful vacations (and we travel a lot). Although Guadalupe was on vacation, she made sure we were taken care of by a wonderful team. Ana, Federico and Alvin made our 5 days on the islands a very personal and unforgettable experience. We had the opportunity to visit several islands, snorkel in beautiful coral reefs and, depending on the wind, sail a little. Alvin, our local captain, told us a lot about the Kuna culture and showed us the best places to snorkel. And despite the limitations on the islands, there was delicious fresh food every day, often fish or seafood, which we bought directly from the Kunas. Although life on a small sailboat is not a great luxury, it was a great luxury to have a crew for ourselves and to explore the islands at our leisure. We were very sad to have to leave this beautiful place and our new friends. Really highly recommended!!!

We had a great time with Guadalupe on her sailboat! She was lovely and made sure we were as comfortable as possible. She guided us and helped us with the plans we could make around the boat and prepared delicious, healthy and abundant meals (for dinners she even got us shrimp and lobster!). She was very attentive to us but also gave us our space. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip. I wish we could have stayed longer. We would repeat it without hesitation!

Fantastic. We did not really know what to expect, but we couldn't have imagined it to be this good. San Blas islands is beautiful and mostly well taken care of. Not very much people or tourists, some islands were just inhabited by one Guna family. We felt welcome everywhere. We are used to living on a smaller sailboat from before (however not in the tropics), you need to pack light and not waste fresh water. Guadalupe makes fantastic food, breakfast, lunch and dinner. It's hard to understand how it is possible eating that good food on a sailboat! Guadalupe showed us how to snorkel in the coral reef (loved it), and she or co-captain Manuel drove us in the dinghy to the island so we could explore it (some places even have a bar with cold drinks). We also got to steer the boat when sailing. This is far more than a regular AirBnB stay! One thing could have worked more smoothly, the communication with the transportation company. When writing to them, use WhatsAp.

Sailing the San Blas Islands was an unforgettable experience, not only because it is an actual paradise but greatly due to the warm hospitality Guadalupe and Manu showed us. Thyra was a wonderful home with dingy outings to snorkel through coral reefs bursting with color and life. We wish our short 2 night stay would’ve been closer to a week aboard; there is so much beauty to take in plus Spanish practice & sailing lessons to be had. Plus yummy eats! ¡Nos vemos pronto!

My stay on the Thyra was one of the apexes of my entire life. To find and stay somewhere on earth like San Blas was an incredible privilege that you will have an increasingly hard time to find as time marches on. Everywhere you look, turquoise reefs meet crisp white sand across a background of lush green palm trees. The local Guna people are happy and welcome to converse, trap fresh lobsters and fish for you, and give you the shirt off their back if you’d ask (not even to mention the ever present sale of handwoven, beautiful textiles that they’re famous for country wide). Whether you’re snorkeling in a sunken ship with tropical fish, venturing out to a scuttled ferry a mile off the coast, or sailing on a clear day - there’s so much to do. I met new friends for life in my temp. captains of Ivan and Milagros; and from weathering storms together, dancing to cumbia in the cabin, or talking about Argentine cuisine and politics - this is a trip I will try to replicate until I die.
