2BR Villa in Playa Pelada

Sarah

Excellent, 3 weeks ago

We can’t wait to come back! Josh’s place was perfect for our family of 4. The plunge pool was a hit for our girls (age 4 & 7) and we loved the proximity to the beach. We rented a golf cart, too, which was much easier to scoot around town or get over to Guiones. Favorites: Olga’s on Saturday night with live music, La Luna at sunset, and Sunrise Cafe for breakfast or a pasty. We also hired a chef to assist with meals—the highlight of our trip! Ask for Chef Felipe. We look forward to our next trip & couldn’t recommend this spot enough.

Host Response

We really enjoyed having you all, you definitely got a lot in on your vacation . So glad you enjoyed it . we hope to have you back soon !

The home is beautiful. The location is perfect. The rooms are super spacious, and the bathrooms are fine. The plunge pool is also perfect. Unfortunately, there were makeup stains on towels and bathrobes, and the remote control for the plunge pool did not work. The dishes were still dirty, and the hand shower in the master bathroom was missing. The pillow covers were yellow. By the way, Josh and David responded immediately. In short, highly recommended, if they ensure that these points are addressed. Because the houses are so luxurious, you also expect these things to be luxurious. A hair conditioner is also not an unnecessary luxury; it was missing.

Great place, exactly as pictured. Josh and David were extremely responsive and went above and beyond in helping with groceries/airport transfers/golf cart rental etc. With the location of this property, I would say that you do need to have a 4 x 4 car or similar. The golf cart we rented wasn’t ideal because the roads are quite rough in this particular pocket of Nosara. There are a couple of restaurants within about a 10 minute walk, which are quite nice, but you need transportation to get over to Playa Guiones and beyond. Highly recommend a restaurant called Coyol. About a 25 minute drive up the mountain but so worth it for the stunning view and incredible food and ambience. Overall a great place and great hosts!

Host Response

Jakie, it was a pleasure to host you, we would love to have you back !

Our family of 3 stayed at villa 3 for 10 days. It was exactly as described in the listing and photos. The location is central to everything Pelada. I was able to walk to Pelada beach in 10min or take the trail to Guiones beach. We used a golf cart to get around which was ok, but I think I’d rather have a car or 4wheeler next time to explore more and the road to Guiones is a struggle on the golf cart. The Villa was super clean upon arrival and the midweek superb. The host was super helpful and quick to respond. The pool was perfect for our 4 year old and a good cool plunge for the adults. The villa felt secure and the neighborhood was quiet. Guests came and went in other villas and we never really heard much noise from other guests. I would highly recommend Yusara to anyone looking for a simple villa.

Yusara Villa 3 was perfect for our family of four. Very modern and clean. The road close to the villa is requires slow driving, but for just a couple of minutes and you are less than 10 minutes from Downtown Guiones total from the villa. We were back and forth several times per day and it is a good location. There is a private, locked gated area right outside the villa for just your vehicle which is very convenient. The pool is very nice and has a waterfall, light and gas firepit that can all be turned on and off. Monkeys right outside the patio area are fun to watch from the living room and pool. Josh was very responsive and super friendly and we really appreciated all his help. He was quick with communication and helped us out as we arrived late.

Overall, a great place to stay and very affordable! The beach is only a 10-minute walk and it is fairly close to a few great restaurants/cafes (Sunrise coffee was our favorite). We took tuk-tuks to Guiones daily which was easy, a quick ride, and provided access to the majority of restaurants, shops, and the better beach in our opinion. Most roads in Nosara are dirt and in bad shape, but the streets immediately around the place are some of the worst with mud/water. Not a dealbreaker by any means, but a vehicle with high clearance would be recommended. The place was clean and the private pool was a great feature to have. The only negative we experienced during our stay was the bugs. Perhaps this is typical in Nosara, but on several nights, we found ants (5-10) crawling on the kitchen floor, a small lizard on the ceiling a few times, and a few crabs on the floor in the corners of the rooms. The laundry on-site is also ~$15 and needs to be scheduled with the host as it's a service.

Nice villa well located in playa Pelada. Our family enjoyed a wonderful 10-day stay with nature and wildlife directly at our doorstep. Playa Pelada is super quiet and not over developed. Beach, coffee shop and restaurants are at walking distance. Access to Nosara is quick and easy but you need an SUV because the dirt roads are in rough shape. Josh and his team were super responsive and helpful. I highly recommend this property.
