We had an unforgettable stay on Morgan and Petra’s boat. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home. They are incredibly warm and generous hosts, and their children are absolute sweethearts. The boat is beautiful and comfortable, and Petra’s cooking was amazing. Despite the limited supplies on the islands, she prepared delicious breakfasts and warm meals every day. The San Blas Islands are breathtaking, and Morgan took us to stunning snorkeling spots with crystal-clear water, coral and countless fish. We also really appreciated Morgan’s experience and professionalism. Weather conditions can change quickly in San Blas, so it is reassuring to be with someone who truly knows these waters. What made this trip extra special was how connected they are to the Guna community and the islands. They clearly respect the local culture and environment, which makes the experience much more authentic. We were genuinely sad to leave. It felt more like staying with friends than with hosts.

Completely perfect. Captain Morgan is incredibly hospitable and knowledgeable and his family is kind and smart. The boat itself is gorgeous - many thoughtful touches, and very comfortable. Food is delicious and our kids tried and enjoyed a much wider variety of foods than they typically do. The San Blas Islands may be the most beautiful place on the planet and Captain Morgan took us to the best snorkeling spots - an extraordinary array of fish, coral and other creatures in perfect conditions. Truly a once in a lifetime experience.

If you’re considering an Airbnb boat stay in San Blas, book it with Captain Morgan—truly unforgettable. From the start, safety was a priority, and the sailing was smooth and peaceful. Even with a bit of rain one day, he quickly navigated us to clear skies. The food by Chef Petra was incredible—fresh, local fish, beautifully prepared, and full of flavor. Getting there is easy from Panama City (about 3 hours by car and 1 hour by boat, ~$80 total), and the journey itself feels like part of the experience. What really made it special was their family. Their children are so respectful, and seeing them being homeschooled on board added such a warm, personal touch. You feel genuinely welcomed. Between snorkeling, paddle boarding, and just soaking in the views (no mosquitoes!), there’s so much to enjoy. The master suite was spacious and comfortable, and the ocean breeze makes A/C unnecessary. More than a stay, this is a beautiful, human experience—open, welcoming, and deeply memorable.

Sailing Guna Yala with Captain Morgan, Petra, Jackson, and Altea aboard the Renaissance was the trip of a lifetime. They are incredibly welcoming and gracious hosts who took care of our every desire and need. We snorkeled every morning in gorgeous reefs all to ourselves and visited picturesque islands and beaches. Petra is a world class chef and every meal was exceptional. Captain Morgan has an obvious love and deep knowledge of the sea and is more than willing to share his experiences. The family has great respect for the Guna people, their customs, and their lands and the respect is reciprocated as evidenced by the many Guna friends of theirs we met along our journey. Jackson and Altea have inherited their parents’ hospitality and adventurous spirits and were wonderful friends to our daughters. We cannot recommend an adventure in the Guna Yala aboard the Renaissance with Captain Morgan and his family highly enough.

If I could give the Renaissance more stars I would! Captain Morgan and his family were wonderful hosts. He provided information regarding transportation and answered all of our questions prior to arrival. They provided information about the ship and a snack as soon as we arrived. Each day we sailed to a new island, then had an opportunity to swim/snorkel/explore. Morgan would give us a description of the reef before snorkelling. We were welcome to use the two kayaks and standup paddle board. The family knows many of the locals that come to the ship to sell souvenirs, fish, fruit, etc. which made for entertainment for the kids and ourselves. The children on board were the perfect play mates for our own children, which gave us a chance to relax as well. They were also respectful of our family time. Petra is an AMAZING chef!! We cannot say enough about the quality of the food. Both our children and us loved every meal made with fresh local ingredients.

Captain Morgan and his family gave us a wonderful time on their dreamlike yacht. Morgan has certainly taken us from island to island and chosen very nice destinations while sailing. Petra cooked us extremely well with fresh vegetables and fish and a lot of dedication and talent. Our daughter loved to play with her dear children. Our cabin was super spacious with a large bed and private bathroom. We would have liked to have stayed longer and definitely want to come back.

We had much more than just a stay, a human and unforgettable experience aboard the yacht Le Renaissance. For 4 days, everything was absolutely perfect. The boat is beautiful and perfectly equipped (kayak, paddle, snorkeling equipment), which allowed us to fully enjoy every moment, in sublime places. Petra is an amazing chef Every meal was an exceptional moment. From breakfast to dinner, we were amazed: generous, refined cuisine, made with the heart. A real joy with every bite. Morgan is passionate, deeply in love with the sea and his profession. Caring, attentive, always listening, he does everything to make the stay perfect and memorable. Their children are adorable, of rare kindness, always smiling. You immediately feel like family, in a warm and sincere atmosphere. We chose Le Renaissance for our honeymoon, and we couldn't have dreamed of

Our family (2 adults, 2 teens) had an extraordinary 4-day excursion with Captain Morgan and his lovely family on their spectacular yacht. It was a world-class experience that was perfect across the board. It was clear we were safe in Captain Morgan’s very experienced hands. They were consummate hosts, offering a wide range of activities, taking us to the best snorkeling spots, and anticipating every need. The sailboat is gorgeous & spacious and is the family’s home. We are foodies and the meals were delicious. Eating the fish & lobsters straight from the sea was a real highlight, and the vegetarian among us was well accommodated too. Everything was fresh, flavorful, & plentiful. It’s a bit of a trek to get there, but once you’re there, the sea, the islands, the marine life & the serenity are incredible. With the finest creature comforts made possible by Captain Morgan and his family, we will surely carry memories of this trip for a long time. And recommend to all!

It's hard for me to imagine a better way to visit the San Blas islands. Morgan and family were spectacular hosts. In addition to lodging on a beautiful, spacious boat, the meals were truly excellent. A couple of people that I was traveling with were on vegetarian diets, and they were accommodated very well throughout the entire stay. My family was mainly interested in snorkeling and seeing some of the islands, and Morgan was an great guide for those purposes. He was able to take us to multiple impressive reefs, and at each one who knew the best route for snorkelers to take. The hosts' kids were very charming and helpful, too. We had absolutely no complaints and would love to return someday.

We spent 4 days on the boat of Captain Morgan and his family. We are a family of four with two teenagers. Everything was perfect and we had incredible experiences as a family. We discovered beautiful islands, heavenly beaches, breathtaking snorkeling, ate delicious Petra dishes, met two lovely children and were introduced to the Guna people. Our hosts anticipated our every need. What a great experience for our entire family. If you want a breathtaking experience for its beauty, you are a little adventurous (you have to go on the winding road and take a small boat to get back to the Renaissance) and want to live unforgettable moments, a stay of a few days on the Renaissance is exactly what you need. Thank you Captain Morgan, Petra and the children for your welcome, who knows we may be back. The Pelletier Family

It was a real pleasure to spend our vacation at the Renaissance with Captain Morgan and his wonderful family!! We had a wonderful time, thanks for showing us the beauty of Guna Yala. Every day discovering different islands, all dreamy, definitely a total paradise! Thanks to Petra also for spoiling us every day with her delicious meals and desserts. Every day surprised us with something different and excellent, my children were fascinated. As for the boat, it is very spacious, nice and comfortable. We will definitely be back! Thank you very much
