Autumn

We had a fantastic stay at the Secret Garden. The view was spectacular and we thoroughly enjoyed the privacy of the location and being able to listen to the waves crashing at night. Autumn was a wonderful host, very welcoming and attentive to any needs we had!

This was living in an artist’s dream! 😍 We have stayed and experienced quite a few Airbnb’s, but this was just pulling and tying together all the strings to make it the best ⭐️ Tropical and beach vibes, breezy open living, a house filled with artwork (of the host’s mother) and collected treasures, including carefully handwritten recipes on musky smelling sheets of paper. Autumn was such a great host, very responsive, helpful and accommodating, highly recommend renting the whole place to get the full experience.

Autumn's palapa in San Jose del Cabo is a truly magical place with beautiful gardens, spectacular views, and an absolutely lovely pool. The location is super convenient and there's plenty to go and do, but if you're like us, you'll find yourself just wanting to spend from sunrise to sunset enjoying the pool and palapa. We played cards, did puzzles, soaked, ate delicious food, drank coffee, soaked some more. It was pure bliss. Autumn set up a local chef named Wendy to come and cook for us and those were some of our most memorable moments. Wendy made a traditional Mexican breakfast complete with jugo verde and jugo de naranja (green and orange juice) and then came back the next day to make us an incredible dinner. She made steak fajitas, shrimp stuffed chile rellenos, enchiladas, rice, beans, and then made the most delicious homemade churros with chocolate. Autumn's mom is a talented artist and we felt so fortunate to be surrounded by her art- including the art that is the palapa and surrounding buildings. Be sure to experience the outdoor shower, my parents considered their shower under the stars to be a once-in-a-lifetime cool experience!

The place is out of this world, an oasis within the desert, the place is amazing, fabulous, the hospitality was out of this world, they treated me like a king, highly recommended!!!

Although we knew we had booked an exceptional home, we could not have anticipated just how lovely it would be. Simply wonderful in every way.

The beauty of the Secret Garden was beyond our expectations. So many magical pathways lead to new wonders – golden eggs, fairy lights, white rabbits, and stunning sea views. Our children were transfixed by the everyday magic it offered from sunrise to sunset – it was hard to tear them away from the pool and the grounds -- and they often begged to sleep under the stars. All elements of the civilized world were still there – high pressure showers, laundry facilities, state of the art BBQ, wireless speakers to set it all to music – but you still felt swept away from the hustle and bustle of the real world (although it was a 2 min drive to the beach and town center.) Autumn was the perfect hostess and always willing to help with great recommendations– be it surf school, snorkelling or restaurants (don’t miss Flora Farms!) Highly recommended.

If you could imagine a place that would be described as heaven on earth, this is it. The gardens, birds and butterflies are as much a part of the home as the home is part of the environment. The view is spectacular, the amenities are well thought out and the beds are unbelievably comfortable. This is a place that feeds your soul. The artwork done by the host is gorgeous and other pieces of art are beautifully placed throughout the entire area. If you ever do leave this beautiful home, there are stores very nearby as well as a lot of local restaurants and other conveniences. I would highly recommend staying in this beautiful, healing secret garden home.

Great house, hospitality and location! Tons of room to relax in, great for families. Very good option for 3 couples. Not a hotel room, the property is very unique in that 2 of the beds and all 3 of the bathrooms are open air (very clean, private and very few bugs) but you have to be comfortable with the idea. You will not find a better ocean experience in San Jose and a house that can give you the room and privacy to really relax.

Autumn's secret garden is truly spectacular. It is central to San Jose and Cabo San Lucas, but is secluded enough that you don't feel surrounded by tourists. We loved falling asleep to the sound of the waves and waking up to a beautiful sunrise. Truly a one of a kind experience.

Autumn and her family went above and beyond in every aspect. To start, she reached out before our arrival to ask some questions, got to know our group and made sure anything we wanted to know was answered. I opted to do the margarita and taco night for the day we arrived, and wow....we were all so impressed!!! Ceviche, fresh caught Marlin, quesadilla, guacamole, homemade chips, margaritas, beer....everything was amazing!!! We really enjoyed every second. Getting to know Autumn and her family was also an unexpected perk. I highly recommend staying at this oasis, we are actually planning on going back our final night here in Mexico!!! The privacy and upkeep of the grounds is way more than we expected. The pictures on here are accurate, but nothing compares to the experience!!! Thank you so much Autumn, and we will see you soon!!!

Autumn and her family's home was warm and welcoming. The grounds are lush and the property has a gorgeous view. The indoor / outdoor lifestyle is romantic, fun, and a unique experience but if you are not comfortable with a more rustic setting than you should go with a traditional house or hotel. Autumn is a great resource for information about Cabo and you get the bonus of her adorable dog occasionally stopping by.

Autumn was a wonderful host. The "Secret Garden" was the perfect get away. It's location feels far away from everything but so close to everything. The property is unique, the gardens are perfect, rad surf beach mins away, the palapa's are cozy & filled with art, the pool & hot-tub have an amazing view. So fun to making meals in the kitchen. Loved how green the place was... Gardens, compost, recycling & water system. Truly a dream come true! We will return!
