Even more beautiful in real life than the pictures. Fantastic decor in lush nature. The pool was great; the kids loved it. Xénia and Thierry are caring and very friendly hosts. Their little dog Taz is really charming! I recommend it without hesitating!

If I could give MORE than 5 stars, I would do that right away. Wow, we had a great experience with the family at Xenia and her husband's place during our tour of Costa Rica. A very warm welcome, fresh fruit from the beautiful garden, a clean and spacious house full of beautiful details, extra loving service such as laundry, valuable tips for activities. The photos and descriptions cannot express enough what Xenia and the accommodation offer. I would 100% come back again.

6 stars! This is AirBNB as it was originally intended. Beautiful gîte on the property with super friendly and welcoming owners. She's Costa Rican; he's French. Garden beautifully landscaped and cared for. Our children (5 and 7 years old), who are normally not dog lovers, also spent hours cuddling with Taz. Lovely swimming pool, good outdoor kitchen, great list of tips for things in the area that are just a bit more authentic. Termalitas, Finca Esperanza, Ross and Eternal Childs Rainforest are highly recommended, also with young kids. Do it!

What an amazing place! Xenia and Thierry were so welcoming. The space was private, well laid out and the landscaping was absolutely beautiful. It was hard to say goodbye.

Very practical tips! Very good recommendations. Book without hesitation if you want to stay not far from La Fortuna, in a quiet and friendly place. I would come back if I return to Costa Rica!

We had an amazing stay! The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming, taking the time to walk us around their beautiful property and share fresh fruit right from the trees. Xenia’s artwork throughout the cottage was absolutely beautiful and made the space feel so unique and special. The cottage was perfect for our family—having the kitchen right next to the pool made it easy to prepare meals while the kids played. They gave wonderful local recommendations and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it!

We loved this place. I highly recommend it. The house is very spacious, clean and comfortable, with a balcony and bathroom in each room and comfortable beds. The pool is perfect for children and adults to enjoy. The water is warm thanks to the volcanic stone with which it was built. The kitchen is equipped and the dining area is next to the pool. There are beautiful gardens, access to the river, trees, many birds. It is a very quiet place and it is relatively close to La Fortuna. The hosts, Xenia and Thierry, were very attentive, kind and friendly. They made us feel right at home. We hope to return soon. Thank you very much for everything!

Excellent service, very nice place.

The stay at Xenia's place was like a dream. What a beautiful location: the pool, the beautiful garden, the lovely rooms, a clean house. This was one of our first nights in Costa Rica, and we couldn't have asked for a better start. The host and hostess were very helpful. We stayed there for 4 nights, and from their house, it was a great and enjoyable drive to all the activities in La Fortuna.

This place is SO beautiful! A little rustic (no A/C, and open-air to the great outdoors) but it was SO comfortable and beautiful!! The pool was perfect, and the location was SO serene! The wildlife was lovely too. So many birds! The gardens were fabulous and created such a private and gorgeous space. The hosts were fabulous. Very helpful, outgoing and kind. My kids LOVED the dogs… it was such a great part of our stay to have them around. It was obvious that the hosts take pride in their land, and take good care of their property. Such a unique stay. If you’re open to a slightly more outdoorsy feel, you will love this place!

Our family enjoyed this retreat. The gardens are stunning and full of hummingbirds. We loved being close to Chachagua for a local experience while remaining near La Fortuna. The house was comfortable, the private pool was a hit with the kids. Xenia and her family, including Taz the dog were great hosts. The inside was super clean and offered plenty of natural light. We enjoyed 5 wonderful days at Xenia & Terry's place. The whole family slept very well and restfully. We absolutely loved being in the spacious and well-maintained garden, and the kids spent hours in the pool. Xenia & Terry were available, attentive, and helpful (without being intrusive)! Their tips helped us go on great excursions & eat well. We still think of her today thanks to the banana cake and jams we bought at Xenia! Conclusion: an absolutely lovely Airbnb where everything is (and even better than) as described! We found it fantastic!

Run, book this place fast! This Airbnb is beautiful and at such a great price!! We loved the setup with the two separate rooms and kitchen below. The pool was amazing and made it feel like the rainforest was surrounding you. Xenia was an amazing host and was always so helpful. We did day adventures with the kids including hot springs, white water rafting, Mystico hanging bridges and the famous rope swing, and waterfall repelling and zip lining. Highly recommend the location for all of the activities too! The soda closed to the house is so yummy. This is one of our favorite AirBnBs to date!
