I have booked houses in various parts of Costa Rica and the world, and this place is in my top 3 places. I can't wait to go back! The place is very nice, has everything you need, and the access to the river is amazing. Quite an experience. I congratulate you for having such a beautiful place and sharing it. I was fascinated by this place.

My family enjoyed our stay here while we were traveling from La Fortuna to Tortuguero. The house was easy to find, although better to drive in the daylight as there are some potholes as you get close. I had enquired about the washer and dryer as it wasn't listed in the pictures, and Lorena told me it was normally only available to stays of two nights or more (which was listed in the house rules, I just hadn't read those). However for a small fee she allowed us to use them and we greatly appreciated that since we had not had access to laundry services in the previous six days and were needing a laundry refresh before getting to Tortuguero. Also, if you are like me and skim the house details, the upstairs master bedroom is the only one with air conditioning but we stayed in early August and I thought the downstairs rooms were fine with the multiple fans that she provided. The trail down to the river was neat, and while we didn't swim, we enjoyed the hike and the view of the river.

Beautiful cabin, it has everything for a great vacation, the river is just walking distance, peaceful, and overall a lovely place for vacation or short stay if you are passing by.

Great, quiet location. Ideal stopover from San Jose to the Caribbean coast. Highly recommended.

Great stay

I loved staying at Lorena's house. Everything was very clean and well maintained, which made the stay super comfortable from the moment we arrived. The river definitely gives it a special bonus, especially on hot days; it was perfect for us to relax and enjoy the experience even more. Also, the atmosphere is so peaceful that we slept like babies. I would definitely come back.

When I think of paradise only one name comes to mind, Costa Rica and in the beautiful country there is a beautiful hidden gem a wonderful, peaceful calm , convenient, clean, home wish is Cabala Rio blanco. Close by Guapiles Costa Rica. After a long flight from Arizona USA Our stay was fenomenal it was everything we need and more The hostess was amazing super helpful and friendly she guided us to beautiful places and recommended great restaurants with amazing food Secreto Azul was delicious and super private . I highly encourage to visit Costa Rica and stay in Cabaña rio blanco It won’t disappoint. I wish I had stayed longer but next time I plan to be here more time I absolutely love my stay and 💯 percent recommend. Maria E.

I really liked the place; it's very cozy for getting away from stress, and there's lots of nature.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! The host was incredibly responsive and always replied quickly whenever we had a question. Their hospitality truly stood out—when we arrived there were fresh fruit and beautiful flowers waiting for us, which was such a thoughtful touch. Lorena arranged a very reasonably priced breakfast and dinner, as well as night tour with one of the neighbours. Everything was a hit. They really went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcome and comfortable. One of the best hosts we’ve had, and we would happily stay here again! The house and the surrounding grounds are absolutely beautiful. Everything is well cared for and feels peaceful and relaxing. You can tell a lot of hard work went into building this house. It’s decorated tastefully as well. One of the main highlights is the magical river nearby—it’s such a special place and made the stay even more memorable.
