3BR Villa in Dominicalito

Beautiful house and property! We brought our two kids - ages 11 & 13 - and we had more than enough space. We spent almost every evening in the pool and ate most dinners and every breakfast on the rooftop terrace taking in the view and watching wildlife. Two of the mornings we saw a troop of white faced monkeys traveling across the property, and my kids and husband saw a couple toucans one day. We could also hear howler monkeys in the distance every evening. We cooked or grilled 2 meals a day and had all the kitchen supplies we needed. It was also nice to be able to do our laundry halfway through the trip! The air conditioners worked great, and the beds were comfortable. You feel like you’re in the middle of the jungle, but it doesn’t take long to get down the mountain to the beach (Playa Dominicalito was our favorite beach in the area & is right at the end of the road). There’s also a beautiful waterfall nearby w/ a swimming hole. The hosts were responsive & helpful! Would stay again!!

A very nice and quiet place to get away from the daily grind, away from everything, in the middle of the mountains. It has everything you need, in the kitchen and the rooms. An idea to share with family or friends. Monica, the manager, is very friendly and provides the necessary instructions for the accommodation. Highly recommended. It feels like home, in the same way you should take care of everything there. I would definitely come back, just to rest and recharge.

Oh my goodness, this place is amazing!!! The setting is absolutely beautiful - peaceful and private but just a short drive to Dominical (~5-10 min)! The beds were comfortable, and the AC was great. We spent our evenings on the roof overlooking the ocean (the bed there is the most perfect napping spot). The pool is larger than it looks in the photo and was a lovely spot to cool off in the afternoons. We were greeted our first morning by a troop of howler monkeys in the distant trees, and our last night at the house, they were in the trees just near carport. What a memory! Toucans and Montezuma oropendolas flew over the house regularly. The waterfall at the bottom of the hill was a wonderful spot to swim, all the moreso as Blue Morphos flitted above. It was a dream stay!!

This place is a MUST!! It's sp peaceful we never wanted to leave. The town and beach was really close along with some gorgeous waterfalls! The hill going up was a little scary at first and you will definitely want 4 wheel drive especially if it rains but once up there it felt like you was in the middle of the jungle but mins away from society. There was some electric issues when the storm came but Monica was so very helpful and responsive and they had everything you needed. We have shared this with all of our friends and we will be back !

We could not have loved this place more! The house was a 5 minute drive from Dominicalito beaches - directions were very detailed (thank you!), but i would still recommend arriving in the daylight as the vegetation can make it a bit difficult to locate in the dark your first time (also, 4x4 is a good idea in case of rainy weather). The house itself was well appointed with all we could have asked for - extra blankets if needed and plenty of towels. The pool was larger & deeper than anticipated, which was a wonderful surprise (my family with 3 teenage boys were all able to enjoy it)! We spent a lot of time in the upstairs seating area - it was a favorite spot to see the ocean and observe all of the jungle animals. We were lucky enough to see a group of capuchin monkies swing right by in front of the house. Plenty of room for everyone to have room to break away for quiet time. We loved the privacy & peacefulness this property offered, while only 5 minutes from beaches & town.

This place is incredible - toucans every morning, beautiful views of the jungle and ocean, lots of comfortable seating, and the kitchen has everything you need. The home is on a gated property in a jungle setting. The house is located about 5 minutes up a steep dirt road, far enough to be private, but not a pain to get places. The nearest beach is 6 minutes away. Monica was always available and helpful. This house was the full Costa Rican jungle and beach experience. We would definitely stay again.

The outdoor setting of the jungle house after a 4X4 arrival is amazing. Total immersion in nature with upstairs views of the Pacific. The interior of the house on the other hand is cold, lacks soul, and deserves a serious refresh: paintings, furniture, linens, etc. We had asked for information about activities near the villa several months in advance to plan our stay at best but never got an answer despite our reminders. Once there, Charlotte was very welcoming and waiting for us to drive us home. On the other hand, the briefing was summary, no documentation of the house and surrounding activities was given to us proactively. When we asked for more information, Charlotte was lovely but gave us documents that were too succinct without advice. We felt like we rented a soulless house from people only interested in income.

This bungalow was one of our favorite stays yet! We are a family of 5, kids are 14, 12 and 7. The house is beautifully furnished and the pool is amazing for cool downs and sunset drinks. The day bed on the upstairs terrace was used every night by either hubs or kids, they loved sleeping with the background noise of the jungle. If you enjoy yoga, the bottom of the hill has a class every day at 9am, which we took advantage of, as well as the 30 min hike down and up the hill each way was gorgeous and a cute healthy restaurant. If you like to surf or enjoy the nearby waterfalls, there is a ton of nature to enjoy around the area. I would definitely recommend this home and come would love to back in the future!

The Dominicalito house was flat out AMAZING. It had everything you would find at home and more from a well stocked kitchen and a sparkling pool to upstairs and downstairs grilling and eating places to an incredible view with monkeys, toucans and the gorgeous ocean in the distance. Plenty of room for everyone with cushy, comfortable furniture inside and out. Set in the hills just outside Domicalito, it was also a bit cooler than the beach itself. We spent most of our time outside. The other major thing that made it perfect was Pam of Blue Morpho, who manages the property. Her team was both very flexible and highly responsive. Any little glitch was addressed immediately and their service was personal. If we don't get this house again (which I plan on), we will look at other Blue Morpho managed properties. A perfect experience all around.
