We had a fantastic stay at Casa del Sol in Placencia. The house is spacious, comfortable, and had more than enough room for our family to spread out and relax. The location is great. You can easily walk to the Placencia Sidewalk and all of the local restaurants, shops, and attractions, so we didn't even use a car. The beachfront pool was one of our favorite features. It was the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring, and having the Placencia Beach Club right next door was a huge bonus. Being able to grab great food and cocktails without going far made the experience even better. Casa del Sol is also an excellent base for snorkeling and scuba diving. The tour operators picked us up right at the house, which made our excursions incredibly convenient. A special thank you to Shane, the property manager, who was outstanding from start to finish. Communication was excellent before and during our stay, and he shared great local recommendations.

The location is excellent - right on the beach and close to town. Be careful entering the ocean - watch for rocks and such, and the no-see-ums. Unfortunately, a huge bloom of seaweed washed onto the beach a couple of days into our trip and made it unusable (and stinky) along much of the peninsula's onshore coast. The house is big and the four bedrooms worked perfect for the eight of us (7 adults and an infant). The huge patio area was perfect for hanging out with the family. We were surprised by the lack of an oven, but my daughter (a private chef) made due and prepared some great meals, regardless. The property is a little worn but had the perfect relaxed beach house vibe we wanted as opposed to a line of new cookie cutter side-by-side houses. Snorkeling and diving were great out on the barrier reef (day trip) and the monkey river cruise brought us face to face with an entire howler monkey family. Great trip, great place and Shane was a great host!

Our family had a wonderful time at Casa del Sol! The location was stunningly beautiful and the perfect setup next to the Placencia Beach Club at the beginning of Placencia’s infamous “main street”. Casa del Sol’s pool was a perfect private play area for our kids and having the Beach Club right next door was perfect for a quick snack, change of scenery, or grabbing a cocktail with attentive and incredibly friendly staff. The house had a few areas that need a bit of maintenance attention. Nothing major and when we had an issue with the coffee pot it was immediately fixed by Shane. Our family loved the tours that were coordinated through the booking, making a seemless transition from rest and relaxation to enjoying the adventures Belize has to offer. Would recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful setting yet close to all the amenities of Placencia.

Fantastic house in Belize! Great location, walkable to town but on the edge of everything so very peaceful. Some traffic noise at night but not too bad. The outside area is truly spectacular with large covered sitting areas, an amazing pool right on the beach, and useful amenities like an outdoor shower and downstairs toilet. Shane was extremely communicative and quick to respond.

Take advantage of Shane's help in planning some adventures, we went in not knowing what to expect and had one of the best trips ever. The beach club next door makes the trip so easy, great food, great drinks.

Casa del Sol was a great vacation for our family. With the pool and beach club, you didn’t need to leave! Shane made the trip really easy by transporting us to and from the airport, he helped booked outings and organize meals at home for us. Thank you, Shane!

Location was the BEST for us. Home is for sale if anyone is interested.

good spot, lil pricey for what it is

Great location & next door to the Beach Club which offered food & drinks at reasonable prices + use of their swim up pool bar (very friendly staff!). House had a great space under the deck with lounge chairs & seating facing the pool & beach which was a great place for relaxing, eating at the two tables & playing games. House was well equipped with lots of dishes, glasses & silverware (might be time for a new skillet). Our host stocked groceries at our request. Our host also booked massages which we enjoyed on the deck. Some issues…air in front bedroom had issues with air conditioning, back master bedroom needs to have shower head replaced, middle bedroom off kitchen the light in shower was not working properly so a little dark. Great things…host was super attentive, house roomy and open, a coffee/wine/ice cream bar was steps away, clean beach, great decks upstairs and downstairs with plenty of room and seating for large groups. Don’t miss the Placencia sidewalk lifeblood of village!

The hosts were proactive and responsive. The location was very accessible both for arrival and to the Plancencia attractions.

Shane did a great job for us and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa del Sol. Everything was organized and as advertised. Shane helped coordinate great excursions for our whole family and put considerable attention into tailoring the experience for us. We recommend Shane highly and look forward to working with him again!

Excellent location. The Placencia Beach Club bar is steps away! They have food as well, delivered right to the outdoor eating area of the house! Shane scheduled all our excursions. Beta (sp?) ordered a cake (BEST WE HAVE EVER HAD) with only a 24 hour notice for my husbands 50'th birthday! We can't say enough about this place & the staff at the Placencia Beach Club!!

Awesome place and would recommend to anyone! Shane picked us and dropped us off at the airport, was very accommodating with the golf cart rental and gave us some great food recommendations. The location allowed for our excursion boat to pick us up just next store so we didn’t have to drive anywhere! Great location!

8 of us went in for a 60th birthday/girls trip. We had an AMAZING time! The location was perfect, the house, pool and beach was exactly as described and then some. Communications with Shane was always prompt and he was so easy to work with! We will be back! Shane organized us a golf cart, massages at the house and a chef for dinner one night. Definitely went the extra mile for all of our requests. The beach club and coffee shop next door is so convenient. All the staff was very nice and food was excellent. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
