A beautiful home and unbelievable view to wake up to each day! The location is private and yet only 10 minutes to Uvita. The host is super helpful and very responsive. I would stay here again without hesitation.

This place is absolutely amazing! If you are deciding between this place and something else, choose this place! The location is close enough to everything you need, yet far away enough to feel private, relaxed, and like you are in the midst of the rainforest. Coffee in the early mornings as you listen to the howler monkeys each morning was unforgettable. Olga was a great host and was responsive and proactive throughout our entire trip. I would move here in a heartbeat. No wonder a lot of expats move to Costa Rica. The food, the people, the environment are all beautiful!

The house has a unique style and is extremely cozy, with everything and more than what we needed for an extremely comfortable stay. The host is very friendly and responds quickly to all inquiries. Perfect stay and view in the jungle

Had a heavenly stay at Olga’s stunning jungle home, with sweeping views of the Pacific. It’s truly one of the most beautiful Airbnbs I’ve ever experienced. The drive up is steep, so a 4x4 is recommended, but absolutely worth it. Olga was very responsive and helpful throughout our stay. We loved waking up to tropical birds and howler monkeys in the trees above the house, an incredible wildlife experience. The location is perfect, just a short drive to Uvita, Dominical, and Ballena National Park. We felt completely at home and didn’t want to leave. Highly recommend, and I would happily stay again.

Our family loves a nice house a bit off the beaten path and away from crowds, but not too far. This house met all of our requirements. We’ve rented several homes throughout Costa Rica and this one felt the most complete. As others mentioned, you need 4X4 which we had with a Toyota Land Cruiser. Even with the rains the roads were easy to navigate. Uvita is less than 12 minutes away for groceries and good food spots. Highly recommend.

Olga was absolutely priceless. Between tips, tricks, recommendations, responsive, and going above and beyond for us...what was not to love about staying with this host. I have stayed in Airbnb‘s all around the world. I must tell you – Olga‘s home was the best I’ve ever stayed in. First, Olga is an amazing host. All of her recommendations were spot on. Her directions to the home were very detailed, and we didn’t have any trouble finding the place at all. The home is simply incredible. The views, the sounds, the design. It was truly a perfect stay. Don’t underestimate the benefit of no checkout instructions. We felt cared for in every way. It was difficult to leave such a beautiful place. Thank you, Olga!

We absolutely loved our stay at Olga’s place! The house is spacious, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed. It also has the best view. Our 2 kids had a lot of fun in the pool in between our outings. We also enjoyed relaxing on the terrace and listening to the morning sounds coming from the rainforest. As others mentioned, the drive up to the house, especially the first time around, is an adventure in itself but it only added to the fun. We very much enjoyed driving up and down the steep hills of Uvita. The house is close to several great restaurants, waterfalls, beaches, and you can even sign up for a chocolate tour minutes away from the house which we highly recommend. Olga was a fantastic host and we couldn’t recommend her Airbnb enough. It was an amazing vacation!

The most beautiful home I have ever stayed in! If it’s available, it’s 100% worth the stay. The drive to it is very steep. You definitely need a 4x4. Olga gave very clear instructions on how to get there. We did not lack for anything the whole time there. She even left us coconuts. Amazing, peaceful stay.

Olga is such a warm and kind host and her place is amazing - the views, interior... just everything.

We stayed here for a week, and it was paradise! The photos don't do it justice: the ocean views are absolutely unreal, especially from the infinity pool and the living space and rooms. We'd wake up, make coffee in the fully stocked kitchen, and just sit on the deck watching the ocean through the trees. The whole place has this incredible energy: the Balinese art, the antique Indian furniture, the high wooden ceilings. It doesn't feel like a rental, it feels like someone's lovingly built dream home that you get to borrow for a few days. Olga is a fantastic host: communicative, warm, and clearly knows the area deeply. She was super accommodating and proactive, and all in all highly recommend this beautiful home in paradise.

Olga was very quick to respond to any questions we had. Her restaurant recommendations were amazing. The house, pool and views are spectacular, better than the pictures. We will come back for sure.

Absolutely stunning place! Incredible views, impeccably decorated, and well stocked with everything you could possibly want for making great meals and drinks. I booked Olga's place for my 40th birthday, and it was beyond perfect. Even better than the pictures depicted. Olga's advice about getting an AWD/4x4 vehicle is an absolute necessity. Getting up and down is an adventure in and of itself, but thoroughly worth the reward.

A dream stay in an exceptional villa 😍 We had a dream two weeks in this beautiful villa nestled in the jungle, with splendid views of the Pacific and incredible sunsets. Olga is absolutely wonderful; everything was spotless and nothing was missing. Fresh fruit and coconuts were waiting for us upon arrival. We will come back without hesitation.

This place was stunning! Beautifully done, peaceful, serene and lots of space. Extra apartment was an amazing addition to have more guests with some privacy. Host communicated exceptionally well!

This was our second stay at Casa Markissa but, if this alone is not an endorsement, I could write pages about all the magical things that make this the most sublimely perfect destination in Costa Rica. Morning coffee on the deck here and an evening swim in the infinity pool, under a made-to-order sunset; put these on your bucket list. Hostess Olga has somehow created the perfect balance between thoughtful design and serendipity in this house. Comfort, location, and luxury while nature provides the rest: toucans to punctuate your evening swim, exotic plants growing around you, a view from the deck framed by rolling rainforest, and a view to the edge of the earth somewhere past the sparkling blue ocean. A brief word about Olga too: there is simply no host or hostess on airbandb who will take more care and put more thought into offering you the perfect stay. From advance planning, to dinner destinations, and an endless list of local ideas, she’s a joy to interact with and to get to know.

The house is just amazing! If you find it available just book it without any hesitation, all the family members have agreed that it is the best airbnb we have ever stayed.The view,artchitecture, the position of the house surrounded by nature. Also the house is full with all the kitchen equipment, towels, sun chairs , all in totally a livable place. We have stayed for 6 night but feel still it was not enough.

What an amazingly beautiful creation of space that really honored the land in ocean. The themes decoration architecture all around was just well thought out well curated beautiful home beautiful location. From the start she communicated clearly told us how to get there. We absolutely loved this Airbnb. The home is beautifully immersed in nature yet still close to beaches, restaurants, and local amenities. It’s spacious, modern, peaceful, and thoughtfully decorated, with everything you could possibly need. The wildlife was incredible — toucans, aracaris, monkeys, scarlet macaws, and a whole host of nature’s best right at the property. We watched multiple shooting stars from the balcony and enjoyed truly breathtaking sunsets. Olga is an amazing host. She is extremely proactive and friendly, answering all of my many questions and have tons of recommendations for us. The place itself is stunning, and the views create memories that will stay with you a lifetime. Due to the rough roads, her home is challenging to find the first time if attempting in the dark - but with her good instructions and Christina on call, we made it without getting lost. Once you find it, you may never want to leave!

I've stayed at many Airbnb's and have to say the service from this host was excellent. The views are amazing and the personal touches were noticed - fresh flowers and olive oil that we asked about. This place was super cozy and very clean. I would highly recommend this place and sip your morning coffee on the patio watching all the wild parrots flying overhead.

Perfect location! We were in the middle of Dominical and Uvita and found it to be the perfect location. There’s even Playa Hermosa right when you get onto the main road from the house! The house is immaculate with such a wonderful view and everything you could possibly need. Olga sent the most detailed directions to the house since it’s pretty far up the hill. We found it very easily! Olga and Cristina were so helpful and always responded very quickly when we asked for recommendations. I’d love to come back to this house!

This place is amazing. If you get the chance do the picnic offering it was beautiful. My driving skills were challenged by the drive there but I found it to be all part of the experience of going somewhere new. I loved this place and the hosts were very attentive. I loved the little details like the cute toilet paper art. The furniture, art and overall style of the home was just as beautiful as the outside I can't say enough positive things about this experience!

We loved our stay! The house is exactly like the pictures. We were here in mid-June. Mornings were usually partly cloudy with rain in the afternoons and nights. The house was very comfortable. Our two kids (8 & 11) loved swimming in the pool several times a day. The views were also amazing! The birds were very active in the morning, which was fun to listen to. We were a bit nervous about the drive to the house, but it was fine with a 4x4. The hosts communicated well, provided detailed directions with pictures of the drive up, and made sure we got there ok. Overall, we highly recommend this house to anyone visiting Uvita.

If you are visiting Uvita in Costa Rica, definitely stay at Olga’s place! The views are spectacular, the pools is great and the house is amazing! Stayed a couple of nights for our honeymoon and we both agreed we should have stayed longer. Travis was also very responsive and helpful. He organized a beach picnic and it was great! If you can and get the chance to do it, it’s highly recommended. Definitely made our honeymoon unforgettable! We will definitely come back. Pura Vida!

BOOK IT! This home is beyond what the pictures show! I spent my birthday here and the hosts helped make this the BEST birthday ever! This home is private, clean, spacious, and has all that you could want and need! The house is centrally located to three beaches, a few grocery stores, great local restaurants, and a few exciting excursions. The hosts were very attentive, responsive, kind, and helpful with anything we needed. Just a heads up that a 4x4 is highly recommended due to this home being in the mountains, but it’s so worth it! Again, book it! Thank you Olga and Travis!

This place was gorgeous! Exactly like it is pictured, or better even. It was about 10 minutes off of the main road, lots of uphill driving (worth it for the high view). Our one thing was that when there is a heavy rainfall, it is pretty loud in the house with somewhat of an echo. We still enjoyed it with the rain! We enjoyed having the fresh fruit that Olga leaves for you, and we also enjoyed using the speaker in the living room since there aren’t any neighbors too close! Washer and dryer was also great.

Olga was an amazing host and her home was exactly as pictured (maybe better!). We were all comfortable for the duration of our stay and thoroughly enjoyed the gorgeous views, swimming pool, and many amenities. We needed directions to get there and Olga provided perfect directions complete with photos so that we did not get lost. She offered local recommendations and was super responsive any time we needed anything. Can't recommend this house enough! We had a delightful vacation.

A bit of an adventure to find the space, as the property is off the beaten path a bit… but it’s what we were looking for: a beautiful, serene getaway! Olga provides detailed instructions to find the home, and is just a phone call away in case you have any questions. Incredible views from the balconies and infinity pool made for the best sunsets over the jungle and ocean! Toucans can be seen flying overhead throughout the day, as well as many other birds and animals! Very special property!

All the reviews on this beautiful home are well deserved. It’s stunning and so thoughtfully designed to a very high standard (I’m an interior designer and can see the thought and love that has gone into the details). The highlight for us was the pool, many a morning and afternoons spent there with our children looking into the jungle and ocean view. Host is so responsive and accommodating. Local area is great too, lots to do but it’s not too touristy either, Thanks so much. If we return to Costa Rica it will 💯 be back to Casa Markissa.

Beautiful villa!

My husband, son (18), daughter (15) and I had three dreamy nights in this beautiful home! Paradise. So well appointed, crystal clean, extremely private and oh-so-comfortable with the amazing air conditioning in each room. :) We rented both the upstairs main house and the downstairs apartment. Beds are big and comfy. The infinity pool is like straight out of a dream. We even used the sauna, which worked like a charm. The outdoor shower is perfectly placed. Olga was so very attentive and responded to any questions within minutes. She provided perfect directions, and many incredible restaurant recommendations. She is a truly gracious and accomodating host. The fresh fruit and cold coconuts in the fridge were a bonus! If you are thinking of booking this house, DO IT! And take the instruction to rent a 4X4 car seriously… you definitely need it as the house is perched up the hillside, providing complete privacy and incredible views of the jungle and ocean. Life will never be the same after staying at Olga’s amazing place. Wife and kids 11 and 15 agree. Rent the whole place including the downstairs apartment like we did. I almost don’t know where to begin the review- ok- the view from the magnificent infinity pool that is stunningly clean (and cleans itself) is THE best part. Right over the steep hillside to the Pacific! Exactly as described. No other houses above you or to the left or right. A few scant rooftops WAY below. What the photos show is actually what you get. It’s BLISS here! Spotless amazing bathrooms - comfy beds- great air conditioning for all the main areas. Thoughtful fruits and flowers. Hot water. I just want to gush about this place even though we have experienced some great CR stays this is the best. Olga could not be more gracious. Follow her extensive guide to dining. Rent horses. Eat at Momento for sushi! When you leave this house you WILL feel superior to packed-resort people!

This is one of the nicest and most relaxing homes I've ever rented. The views are incredible and that pool is just about perfect. The kitchen is so well stocked, unlike most places. You really have everything you need along with privacy and a fantastic host. While the home is tucked away and a little difficult to find, it's really a fun experience once you get to the top!

A little slice of heaven! We had such an incredible experience here. The house has a wonderful energy, an unbelievable view, and every amenity we could need to be comfortable and at home. We particularly enjoy lazy mornings on the front porch watching toucans and wildlife wake up for the day. Afternoons in the pool were perfect with the kids. Can’t recommend highly enough!

The place is beautiful. The sunset from the pool is just breathtaking. Overall, made the experience that much better. The place was clean, and when we arrived we had fresh fruit waiting for us. Highly recommend this property for any kind of vacation!

Olga's place is a dream - we felt comfortable from minute one. She has lovingly furnished the house and it is equipped with everything you need. The view and the pool mean that you can quickly unwind and start relaxing. We'd give Olga 6 out of 5 stars if we could. Important to know, you need a 4x4 to reach the property. If we head to Uvita again, we will definitely come back.

What an incredible place! From the sweeping ocean views to the well-appointed living spaces, bedrooms, and bathrooms, our group was very impressed. The pool was a major highlight - especially during sunset! The proximity to Uvita and Dominical made for convenient trips down to whale watching, surfing, various beaches, etc. I would highly recommend staying here!

Beautiful home, awesome host, great location. The house is just like the pictures - peaceful deck and relaxing swimming pool were my favorite parts. Beds are comfy and plenty of kitchen space. Location is pretty ideal. Went snorkeling at Cańo Island out of Uvita, parasailing out of Dominical and to some delicious restaurants in Ojochal - all within half an hour of the house. Olga provides a guest book and the suggestions were top notch. Birds are plentiful around the house and we heard the howler monkeys close by in the mornings and evenings but unfortunately didn’t see any except on a jungle hike we did. Bring the sunscreen and come enjoy!

Olga was amazing and very helpful and the views from this house were incredible! Directions were bang on, grocery and local markets were close, and it was exactly what we wanted in this area. Lots of outdoor events, and Olga went over and above to ensure we had everything we needed! Will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful stay!

An amazing host and fantastic view. Great space for a family of 5. Property provided everything you would need including washer and dryer. We enjoyed waking up to the sounds of nature and the beautiful view of the ocean. Our host was always responsive and directions to property was clear. Highly recommended.

August place was phenomenal. The pictures don’t quite do it justice in that saying something. 4 x 4 is recommended but it’s probably one of the easier places to get to around Uvita. Would definitely love to come back.

Heavenly place in Playa Uvita! My family had a fantastic time! The house is amazing with beautiful Asian (Indian and Balinese) inspired decoration, fantastic views of the forest, ocean and sunset. Saw macaws and toucans every day from balcony. We enjoyed the infinity swimming pool and sauna and the spectacular early morning bird singing! Olga was very attentive and a fantastic host! Want to go back!

I can’t say enough about the way I was treated. Almost like I was a made man. But I’m not…Olga has the best house in Costa Rica and that’s after I saw some of the finer houses. Not only does she have the nicest house, she has a very fair price! All the amenities you can stand too!! Then there’s her co-host Travis. First of all, every Tica and Tico knew who Travis was and only good things to say about him. It doesn’t hurt that his gf was Miss Costa Rica a couple years ago 😉. Hope to visit again real soon and I can only hope Olga’s place will be available! Thank you Olga and Travis for making one of my fondest memories🙏🏼

A seriously wonderful and helpful host that made us feel safe and right at home. They were responsive and helpful and incredibly kind! Very much appreciate that when you’re in a different country. Also—the place is stunning and relaxing. I could stay there forever. Definitely would recommend a 4x4, especially if you’re not used to dirt and rocky roads. It’s about 2 miles up and down hill through the mountain to get up to the Airbnb. In the rainy season, it can be a little rough. But it’s definitely worth it!

Checked all the boxes - sits atop a Mountain with sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean - nice firm beds (NO TACOS - you know a taco bed - you lay down and roll into the middle and all of a sudden you are in a taco). Even has some local fruit waiting for us - was a spectacular time.

The villa is beautiful, very luxurious with an amazing view. Pool perfect for swimming with a balcony with an amazing view. Super well equipped kitchen with several extra towels and linens. Olga and Travis are great hosts ready to help, recommend and accommodate us for schedules as well. To know that you absolutely need a 4x4 to access the villa and the first time it is not easy to find but Olga and Travis are there to help. Air conditioning and wifi are great! Thank you again for this wonderful stay!

Amazing experience from start to finish! We stayed just shy of 3 weeks at this beautiful house & enjoyed every minute of it! Olga and Travis were responsive and willing to assist with any questions we had & always had great recommendations. The house itself is virtually 15mins to everything but also tucked away on the mountain side where we could enjoy both privacy & abundant wildlife. We used Miguel, at Five Senses, as a personal chef for my wife’s birthday - another great recommendation - food was amazing, service was on par with any high end restaurant, & they even provided a personalized birthday cake. We had Jackie come out for multiple massage sessions at the house & used the downstairs apartment as a “Spa” (since my parents weren’t able to make the trip) and it was by far some of the best massages that I’ve ever had. If you’re on the fence about this Airbnb or the Uvita/Dominical area - just book it! This was our first trip to CR but it won’t be our last. 🤙

This beautiful home was clean and calm, and the pool and view made it all a great respite. The sauna was a memorable addition, too! And, we saw a lot of birds from the home, and heard the howler monkeys. It's a fun adventure to get to, yet close enough to town to be convenient. Finally, clear communication from the hosts.

Amazing stay in Uvita! Beautiful home but even better hosts! Travis was like family…always responsive and even personally there to help out. Helped bring a chef to the home through weather storm. Olga was quick with replies as well. A 4x4 is definitely welcome to get to the property. We made ourselves right at home and it was the perfect spot to experience Uvita and surrounding activities. Perfect spot!

Fabulous Airbnb, with stunning views and elegant decor. We loved the Hindu and Buddhist influences across the home. Waking up to the infinity pool and unwinding in the sauna was an absolute delight. 11/10 recommend! The only bummer: We were woken up by loud construction, grass cutters and leaf blowers 2 out of the 3 days we spent here. Olga told us it’s something that happens only once or twice a month in the area, so many guests might not encounter this. It also took place at a neighboring property so it’s not something we can fault the hosts for, hence my perfect 5-star rating despite it. Thank you for a wonderful stay, Olga and Travis.

This house is AMAZING! My fiancé and small group of friends absolutely loved this secluded property and its beautiful views of the jungle and ocean. This property is actually BETTER than the photos! There are a ton of silverware, pots/pans, and dishes available and a bunch of fruits/snacks were there for us on arrival. The host and cohost were extremely responsive and checked in on us to make sure everything was going well, and provided local food recommendations and tours. We all hope to return to Casa Markisse in the future! We had a 4x4 rental car which I would highly recommend for this area. We were able to make it to the house in 2WD with dry conditions, but I wouldn’t want to do it in the rain and going to some tours/restaurants in the area required 4 wheel drive.

Hands down the best place we stayed at during our trip along the coast. This place is absolutely gorgeous. We arrived in the night with some rain which made it a little difficult to navigate and drive to, definitely need 4-wheel drive to get to the airbnb. The fresh fruit, coconut, the infinity pool, and sauna made this an unforgettable stay. Could've stayed for the whole month!

Best Airbnb we have ever stayed in. Extremely accurate description but it does not do it justice. The views are spectacular, the pool is amazing and the house is fantastic!! You will not be disappointed. You 100% so need a 4 wheel drive car but don’t let that scare you. I would stay here again and again. Olga is a very responsive and helpful host. Simply the best!!

Our stay at Casa Markissa, Olga's house, was simply perfect. The house is a super modern beautiful gem in the middle of the jungle. The view is breathtaking, and nature all around is simply amazing. Rooms are spacious, comfortables, two on the main floor and another one downstairs. It's worth remembering that the downstairs room is connected to the others through an external staircase, so it might not be ideal if you're traveling with 3 or more small children. However, if you're traveling with older kids or friends, the distance between the rooms offers a lot privacy. A 4x4 vehicle is indispensable, and if I may give a suggestion, a slightly raised car to avoid scraping the bottom. Once you've driven the road for the first time, you'll feel more confident and take on the slopes with a sense of adventure. Olga will explain you very well how to reach the house. In conclusion, our stay was PERFECT. I truly hope to come back one day. Thank you Olga for your kindness et good advises!

We had a wonderful stay. Olga’s place is perfect for 3 couples with lots of privacy, big bathrooms, and comfortable shared spaces. Everything was spotless. We loved the main deck and watching the birds, especially the two wood rails that would visit each evening. The fresh fruit that Olga provided was appreciated by our group.

We loved our stay. The pool is epic- great view and wonderful spot for sunsets. Comfy couch. Great balconies. Olga was wonderful, left us a fruit basket and chilled coconuts. And let us know which fruits to pick around the pool. Thanks for having us!

An Amazing Place! I travel a lot and this was one of my favorite Airbnb Stays. Olga is an excellent host, very responsive and proactive. The place is beautiful and clean. All three rooms were comfortable. The pool is excellent (lots of Airbnb's have pools that look good in photos but are not. This one was great and we all used it multiple times.) The style is well done and tasteful. The view is even more amazing than we thought it would be. The AC is powerful and kept us cool during a very hot week. Olga has cleaners come afterwards making the last day very easy. Tips for staying at this one: When Olga says you should use a 4x4, believe her. The road isn't terrible, and it's close to the paved area. But there are some inclines you should have 4x4 for. The rooms are all great, but one is certainly "the best". So if going in a group, make sure you flip a coin. Everyone will be happy with their rooms, but someone will get the king-daddy of all rooms :) I highly recommend this Airbnb

Olga’s home is a truly unique and beautiful space just minutes from Dominical and Uvita. The gorgeous art pieces, unique amenities (sauna!), quiet and peaceful setting, were wonderful. Olga was lovely to communicate with and we loved our stay here

Olga’s place is truly one of a kind. It is way up high on a mountain road, completely private, set back into the jungle so wildlife is all around you. The house is absolutely stunning. The pool is perfect. The bedrooms are spaced out, so each is private and has its own bathroom. The sunsets are phenomenal. I absolutely loved this trip to Costa Rica and I think my favorite part was Olga’s house.

Wonderful stay! Beautiful home and property. We couldn’t keep the kids out of the pool. Very well stocked kitchen which included fresh fruit on arrival. Fresh smoothies every morning to enjoy the spectacular views. Olga was an extremely responsive host. Don’t miss the resident sloth!

This place is so beautiful, nice and private, gated, and has everything you need to make you feel at home. Olga gives such clear directions to make it easy to find the place. She was always responsive and kind and thoughtful. I would highly recommend this spot if you’re staying in Uvita.

I couldn’t begin to describe how amazing the whole thing was. The home is absolutely stunning; beautifully decorated, well appointed, private, with all kinds of personal touches that truly made the trip magical. Pictures and descriptions don’t do it justice. The kitchen lacked nothing. The master bathroom is a work of art. The pool is like something out of a movie. The bedrooms made us feel right at home. What really made the experience was Olga herself - she is the best host anyone could ask for on a vacation. Her local recommendations were all spot on and she went way above and beyond to be helpful. Olga is an excellent communicator, I really got the sense that she does this because she enjoys it, not just to make some cash on the side. By the end of our trip I felt like I had made a friend. We will never forget this trip!
