Beautiful villa with a modern design, surrounded by a tropical garden with a landscaped swimming pool. Fully open to the outside, we had a great time. Everything is as described, but it's difficult to convey the atmosphere of the place, which is unique and exceptional. Eric was very attentive and was able to respond to all our requests. Very flexible, he gave us a taste of the "pura vida" for our first days in Costa Rica!

We enjoyed our stay here and I thought it had really good vibes! Eric was so helpful and I can’t say enough good things about him. We had a couple issues with our flight and he was so helpful in assisting us with problem solving. There is a little market that is within walking distance and we loved that because it was super helpful! We enjoyed the pool several times but I wish there was also a hottub, that would make it even better! Eric organized a chef for us one night and it was so wonderful! The chef was really great and we enjoyed the experience so much. Beach is in walking distance which is also nice. All of the living areas outside of the bedrooms arent within an enclosed space so just keep that in mind; thankfully it wasn’t too hot when we were there but in the heat of summer it might be uncomfortable. The A/c in the bedrooms work well. The landscaping is really beautiful. Overall a great experience in our trip!

Eric and his staff was nothing short of amazing . Beautiful house the beach is not a far walk and everyone just made us feel right at home . Definitely would recommend to a friend and can’t wait to go back ! Pura Vida

As others have said the photos don’t do justice to this incredible spot. The lush gardens make you feel immersed in the jungle. The beds are extremely comfortable and the air conditioning allowed us the amazing nights sleep. The location is very quiet and secure. We travelled with a 2 year old and the space was big enough for him to go crazy while still feeling very safe. The pool was a very comfortable temperature allowing us all to swim for hours at a time. Eric was very helpful from check in to check out recommending fun things to do for little kids. Even with heavy rains the first few days we found Casa Neen to be a great space to just hang out while waiting for the weather to break. We saw all manner of birds, lizards and monkeys from the house. The path to the beach was very convenient and we even saw dart frogs along the way. We would strongly recommend casa Neen to families looking for a clean, quiet and comfortable place to stay near Puerto Viejo

Can’t say enough positive things about this beautiful house. It’s unique in that it feels like you are outside and nature is part of the house. Perfectly decorated with a luxurious feel but homely touches. Restaurant within walking distance where you can also hire bikes for a 10 min cycle into the centre of town. Overall we did not want to leave!

The place was lovely and we had a great time there. Eric was communicative and very helpful with everything we could need. He even arranged laundry service and recommended a surf instructor. The driving service he recommended from the airport in San Jose was top notch. A couple things we didn’t expect that folks should be aware of: the living space is all open air except the bedrooms. This means you have to clean well each evening or if you go out. At night animals got into the compost and even opened a drawer with food in it. There are no shades on the upstairs bedroom windows so the sun pours in really early (privacy is not an issue). The house is a bit out of the way - lovely spot and feels very safe and residential but you can only walk to 2 restaurants which are a bit of a walk in the dark.

We just stayed the week at Eric’s place with our family of 6 and had the most relaxing time!! The house is absolutely gorgeous, even more so than in pictures and feels like you are immersed in nature! Eric was so responsive and gave us amazing recommendations including a kayaking tour, restaurants nearby and a chef at the house that was phenomenal and one of our favorite meals of the trip! We hope to be back soon!!!

It is hard to put into words how wonderful this "home away home" was for our family. It wasn't simply an airb&b rental, it was a whole experience and immersion into the pure vida culture and community. The location was fabulous - private and quiet without feeling too removed and just a walk, uber, or bike ride away from beautiful beaches, shops, restaurants and experiences. There's a lovely little market where we created some of our meals from because our kiddos loved the beauty and relaxation of our "home." We saw and heard lots of toucans, other native birds, hummingbirds, monkeys, frogs, sloths, sweet local dogs, lovely cats, native plants, flowers, trees, etc. We zip lined with Nativo, did the Caribeans chocolate tour, visited Punta uva and other beaches and kayaked and hiked an amazing farm. Every day was a treasure and so many wonderful memories were made! I wasn't sure how it would be possible, but the place IS more beautiful than the photos!! Pura Vida!

Rarely have we stayed at a home that was better than the photos but this was one! We loved it! It was perfect for our group of three couples.

The house is beautiful, just like what you see in the photos. Everything is top-notch. Eric is very friendly and helpful. Feel free to ask for recommendations for visiting or dining in the area.

This place looked better than the photos. Pool area bit smaller but perfect size for us. We were able to get massages at the bnb by a local spa that Eric recommended. Beach isnt a private walk out entrance but close by with a gate. Would recommend!

Casa Neen was more beautiful than the photos. Great location- walk to the beach and a small market. Eric was a gracious host, always available for questions and recommendations. We hope to be back soon!

Not only is Eric a great Airbnb host. He is a lifesaver! Upon arriving to Costa Rica, traveling with a party of 18 for my wedding, our flight got delayed due to a snowstorm, then the van we had the electric broke and we had to get a new bus by time we arrive to Puerto Viejo It was close to 10 PM. We had no service and we’re all trying to figure out how to navigate the bus driver who didn’t know where he was going… Finally, we were able to get a hold of Eric and he led us to Banana Azul Hotel, which is very close to his Airbnb. He hopped on the bus brought us all back to his house, and then he personally drove us back one by one. If that doesn’t say enough about him right there, I don’t know how else to please you! My adult children were staying in the home and they had an amazing time there. They were up playing cards swimming in the pool and enjoying the beauty of the whole area! Thank you, Erik for hosting us, thank you Erik for getting us through a rough night.

We had the most amazing family Christmas stay at Casa Neen, Eric was a great host, super friendly and helpful, informative and responsive. The kitchen wss very well equipped , the rooms and bathrooms, all top level and the beds so comfortable . You really do feel like you are immersed in nature , Tuscans and hummingbirds, frogs, a sloth on beach path. Would highly recommend
