We had the most magical stay in this unique property. We wish we could have stayed longer but I have a feeling we'll be back soon enough. The layout was built for total relaxation and the proximity to the best was positively spoiling.

A rustic paradise getaway We felt we lucked out with this sweet old-timey hand-built Cabina just steps from the beautiful Samara beach. It was like going back in time to a simpler life. Francisco (Paco) the AirBnB contact is a superb and conscientious communicator and host. Juanita his aunt, who owns and lives on the property, is a delightful lady - kind and most welcoming. The kitchen was very well equipped and had everything we needed to cater for ourselves. The big fans in the bedroom kept us cool in the king size bed. I loved the stone lined shower, and taking my coffee out along the opal pearly beach in the early morning - also hanging out on the shaded porch in the heat of the day, getting up to make the occasional iced fruit smoothie. Just a few minutes walk down the beach brings you to downtown Samara with a convenient little supermarket and the food court. The hotel restaurant almost next door is excellent.

Perfect location to enjoy Samara beach! A 1 minute walk down to the beach and just 10 minute beach walk into town. I loved staying a bit outside of town in this quiet spot. Lovely to hear the ocean from the porch, large comfortable bed, house stays cool inside with good fans. Paco and his family live right there so are very helpful with local recommendations or surf lessons. Great indoor/ outdoor kitchen stocked with good pots and pans.

We loved hiding out for the week in Juanita’s beach cabin. It was so cozy and everything we needed to have a lovely week. Steps away from the beach we could go to and from the ocean and stunning beach as we pleased. We felt right at home immediately. We lived in Samara many years earlier for a short time and this gave us a whole new experience of this sleepy beach town that enriched our love for Costa Rica. If you want to be immersed in the jungle, within walking distance to town, and be a fabulous lazy beach bum for the week, then this is your place.
