Excellent, 1 month ago

We had a great time as a family at Michael's house. The location is wonderful, with the swimming pool. We enjoyed all the animals in the forest. the monkeys, the sloths, the macaws, etc... The house and the beds are very comfortable. Thanks to Michael.

Olivier, I am happy you enjoyed your visit. Come back soon.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Casa Bellamar! The location is tucked away and in a quiet location but also just 5 minutes away from everything you need— restaurants, grocery stores, beaches. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Our kids loved the daily animal sightings — we saw a sloth, iguanas and a spider monkey. The pool and balcony were beautiful and we loved lounging there after a busy day of sightseeing. Susan was so helpful with booking activities for us even last minute and gave us great recommendations. Mimi the housekeeper kept the place immaculate during our stay. Can’t recommend this place enough!

Sarita, Thank you for the great review. I can't take credit for the wildlife but I'm always happy to hear they showed up for our guests.

If you get the chance to book this place, DO IT! Did not disappoint! My family of 5 had the best time staying here! One of the main reasons we booked was because most of the reviews talked about seeing the wildlife nearby. We saw 2 different kinds of monkey, a sloth up in the tree, toucans, macaws, and huge lizards/ iguanas. Our host Susan was great and met up with us to show us around the house and all its amenities! Loved our stay!

Thanks for the positive comments. I hope you are able to return soon.

Amazing house. Way better in person than photos even show! Huge place and pool is beautiful. Saw a ton of wild life, including a sloth who hung out directly next to the house and a family of macaws! Would stay here for a long time if I had the chance. 10 min drive to the main restaurants in Manuel Antonio. Chillax Bistro (very cool restaurant with its own pool too!) a few hundred yards away. Trails to waterfalls also a few hundred yards away. Very private and secluded. IN the jungle!

I'm glad you enjoyed your stay. The sloths are a rare treat to see. I'm glad one of them made an appearance.

Casa Bellamar is the perfect place for three couples. My wife and I traveled with my two daughters and their spouses and had the most wonderful time. The house is amazing and Susan was so kind and helpful. Mimi the maid kept everything spotless and even did our laundry. We saw so much wildlife right by the pool every day! When we come back to Manuel Antonio we will definitely be staying here again.

Brent, Thank you for the positive comments. Both Susan and Mimi do a great job taking are of our guests. I'm glad you enjoyed your short visit. Come back soon and stay longer next time.

Lovely house in a peaceful environment. We didn’t see any monkeys or sloths, but you may. Be aware that some Uber drivers are unable to make it up the hill near the house, which requires that you walk down to meet them. Not a big deal, unless it is raining. The kitchen has ground coffee and sugar packets and the coffee maker doesn’t need paper filters. But, that is it. The grocery store does deliveries, for $6 USD and is open until 9pm

Michael's place was amazing and a highlight of our vacation. We, quite literally, saw more animals (squirrel monkeys, Capuchins, basilisk, iguana, sloth, toucans, motmots, plus others) here than on our guided tour in the reserve or kayaking in the mangroves. The location is stunning, the actual house is pristine and both the conciege and the maid are knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. The only caveat I will give is the last road to the house is very Costa Rican - gravel and potholes, with a paved steep final climb - but so worth it.

We had a wonderful time staying at Casa Bellamar. The house and grounds are exactly as shown. It's in the trees and the views make for a great Costa Rica experience. We traveled with my in-laws and it was their first time in CR., and the visits from squirrel monkeys, iguanas, scarlet macaws, and a toucan were awesome. The bedrooms are large, quiet and cool, each with a private bathroom. The kitchen had everything we needed, as well as the rest of the house. We would love to come back and stay again. Also, thank you to Susan the concierge for being so attentive, and to the rest of the staff for keeping everything so clean!
