Relaxing and private location with very friendly host and cute dogs that come visit you everyday. In a secluded location so best if you have your own vehicle for visiting local beaches and getting groceries.

Staying at Apothefinca was a dream come true for our family. The guest house was an absolute gem, with so many little details that made our stay extra special. Lucy was very thoughtful and generous with her time, giving us a tour of the gardens and connecting us with local community to buy farm fresh eggs, sourdough bread, and more. My 5-year old daughter loved her dogs and chickens, and even got to hold some of the newly hatched chicks! I highly, highly recommend Lucy’s magical guest house to anyone who wants a nourishing and inspiring experience in Nicaragua.

Spacious, affordable, and comfortable cottage on Lucy’s beautiful farm in adorable Escamequita. Great location close to San Juan del Sur and several of Nicaragua’s best beaches. Lucy was extremely responsive, friendly, and helpful. We’ll be back!

Lucy’s place (as well as Lucy herself) was exceptional. She was very responsive. The house is beautiful. The dogs and the cat were so nice to have nearby. The environment was so peaceful but a quick drive to Escamequita, my favorite, magical, Nica village. Only regret is we couldn’t stay longer. Highly recommend!

Lucy’s finca is so unique and special. If you are looking for an authentic farm experience, in a very comfortable and chic house, Lucy’s is the place for you. Perks, she has excellent suggestions for adventures, massages, beaches, surf lessons and transportation. Escamequita is the cutest little pueblo nestled close to amazing beaches. It is authentic Nicaragua and a great place to use as a home base to explore. We will be back. Having a car is very useful when staying here. Lucy’s garden provides yummy food, beautiful flowers and even baby chicks!!! Such a wonderful farm and farmer!

Lucy's place is serene. Instantly calming albeit out of town. The section of dirt road is fine in a normal car. Lucy is absolutely awesome & delightful. She provided me with medicinal herbs for tea & salad straight from her garden. Lucy provides a unique form of Osteopathy healing & movement sessions which I highly recommend if wellness is on your agenda. Charming accommodation in the middle of peaceful and relaxing nature. Lucy is very attentive and welcomed us with products from her garden. Different wild beaches close by. Small paradise to spend a good time in the green. Thanks Lucy! Recommended.

Lucy was very kind and helpful. The place is beautiful and peaceful. Perfect for a nice quiet stay surrounded by nature, and also close by car to some amazing beaches. Her dogs are so cute, we feel in love with them.

Lucy’s air b n b is very lovely. It’s nestled in very tranquil countryside, you will wake to the sounds of birds and howler monkeys in the trees outside. Lucy is a great host and the fridge was full of fresh eggs fruit and veg from her farm on arrival. The 3 dogs and 2 cats were a big hit with my 10 year old son, especially Layla the dog who regularly came to visit and hang out with him on the sofa. Highly recommended

Beautiful and peaceful location. Lucy was very helpful and went out of her way to stock some of her fresh organic produce in the accomodation. If you were looking for a peaceful a country feel getaway I would definitely recommend Lucy’s place

Our stay at Apothefinca was magical! When we arrived there were flowers on the island, fresh herbs and greens and eggs in the fridge, and homemade tea to drink. The location is remote but beautiful, and we rented Lucy's car so getting around was fun and every day was an incredible adventure. Lucy has been in Nicaragua for a long time with two kids and is very cool and knowledgable and gave us great tips on what to do near San Juan and Escamaquita--and even suggested surf lessons which were a hit. The house is lovely and my teenagers roamed around the gardens and played with the dogs and the chickens while we were on the property. There are bugs and critters for sure--it is Nacaragua!--but nothing daunting and the mosquito nets over the beds made for bite-free sleeping. We had everything we needed for a fun-filled five days, even fireflies and a coati! We will be back.

We loved staying at Apothefinca! Such a peaceful place surrounded by beautiful nature. An absolute highlight is Lucys incredible garden with loads of medicinal plants and beautiful flowers and veggies. We were welcomed with a fresh garden salad in our fridge plus farm fresh eggs that tasted so good. If you are lucky you see monkeys in the tree tops and you hear them often howling in near distance. The house is cute and comfortable and we felt right at home. The kitchen has everything to cook meals and make yourself a tea or coffee. We will always come back if we are in the area! its an absolute gem in escamequita! 🧡

Really beautiful place on a wonderful stretch of land in Escamequita. A lovely place to enjoy the raw beauty of southern Nicaragua and to recharge. Lucy is a kind and attentive host. Highly recommended.
