The house was so peaceful and relaxing. We loved the pool and scenery. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. This was a place to remember and we would definitely return! We saw monkeys, parrots, Toucans and a Coati on property. We loved it! Tim also gave us wonderful recommendations to local beaches and sites and we loved all of them. Thank you!
A wonderful home, private with amazing views and still close to Manuel Antonio, Dominical, and Uvita. We were met by the house manager which was a great touch. You will need a 4x4 as the driveway is steep but it’s worth it. This was the perfect home for a family of 4 with little kiddos. Lots of games. We played together every night! Great pool and a pool table we used during the rain with little hammocks that were perfect to see wildlife. Saw coatis, toucans, and macaws while hanging outside by the pool! Cold AC, great WiFi, and a fully stocked kitchen. Comfy sleeping arrangements and I’d say the outdoor shower was the best! And the hosts were responsive and so helpful with local recommendations. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!
This place is great, a unique location where we experienced Costa Rica at its best! We would like to go back!!! Tim and Etna were super responsive and really friendly.

This was probably the coolest house we have ever stayed in during all our years of travel. I'm not going to lie, half way through our first trip up the driveway, I started to wonder what I had gotten myself into. It is very long and steep in parts (as they mention in the description), but I promise it is well worth it. The house was cozy and clean but it was the backyard and the views that sold it for me. It was absolutely incredible. We saw more wildlife just sitting by the pool than we did our entire trip, including visits to national parks. We had so much fun, we didn't even do all the activities we planned. We were content to just be up relaxing in the peace and quiet and watching the monkeys play in the trees. I could not recommend this place enough!

What an amazing stay. We didn't want to leave! The hosts were responsive and kind. The house was clean and very pleasing. The kitchen was very well stocked with pots and utensils, which we've struggled with at other stays. No need to leave to see huge amounts of wildlife! It's right at the front door. Overall, the house was comfortable, welcoming and made our trip unforgettable. We hope to return!
Amazing views, tropical birds everywhere and great pool. This is a bird lovers paradise with numerous toucans flying around. The wildlife and views are out of this world. Challenging driveway but worth it.

Such beautiful surroundings and the views were amazing!! House looked exactly like the photos posted. Amanda and Tim were very responsive whenever needed. Definitely recommend staying here.
We had a wonderful stay. The house was incredible. The two cooking areas inside and and outside grill) were awesome. We spent most of our time on the outside deck which by the way had a bathroom and two showers. The pool and views were amazing. There was more wildlife (birds, mammals, amphibians and reptiles) than what we saw in Manual Antonio. I was just what the doctor ordered! Next time we’ll go back and stay longer than the 16 days we did this time.

We couldn't have loved the house more. What a gem! Hosts were extremely communicative with lots of tips and great recommendations prior to the trip and throughout our stay. The photos just don't do justice to the view and surroundings. The house was lovely and we felt right at home during our stay. We only wish we could have stayed longer. Highly recommend staying here!
The outdoor space is so peaceful and beautiful. We saw monkeys, coati, and all sorts of colorful birds. The home was in great condition and Tim was a responsive host. We had an amazing time and would love to come back again!
Gorgeous setting and loved the house. It was the best part of our trip to just relax and enjoy the view and the pool.
Cons: beds, couch, stools all furniture was very uncomfortable. We stay in Costa Rica for almost a month annually and we stay in airbnbs. This house was full of ants and flies (yes much more than the average Costa Rican amount) b/c there are no seals on doors or windows. We gave up the master bedroom/king size bed for the other bedroom w a smaller bed because the master bedroom has so much sun at 6:30/7 am it’s impossible to sleep past that time due to lack of shades/curtains on upper windows. No shades on kitchen/living room windows made us feel exposed at night. Pros: Tim was very responsive and sent someone to fix the water when we had no cold water almost immediately. The view of the ocean is amazing! The pool was a little cold but still refreshing. Air conditioning throughout the house is always a plus! Tim and his team let us check in early and we really appreciated that. Provided extra garbage bags in the kitchen - thank you! Overall great stay and would recommend!

Sarah, Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry not everything was to your liking. We wish you had given this feedback during your stay rather than after check out, we could have potentially addressed some of the issues. No other guests have complained about furniture, in fact it is all new. The house is mostly glass to avail of the beautiful views. It has total privacy & is not overlooked by other homes. As you mentioned we do not have curtains on the top transom windows. We will consider covers for this part. Flys and ants are sometimes an issue in the jungle, we leave raid under the sink. Anything more than the usual amount could've been quickly remedied by a call to maintainence. We are glad glad to hear you had an overall great stay and wish you well on all your future adventures. Tim’s house was as described - it was clean (minus the ant problem) and well-stocked, with a beautiful view of the ocean. Unfortunately, we did not get the “total privacy” described in the listing, due to loud construction at the two houses on either side of his place. This construction happened every day, starting at 6:45a-7a and lasting until 5pm or later. We let the hosts know as soon as we realized it was an ongoing issue, and they admitted they knew construction was happening but they thought it would be finished by then. We asked for a modest refund to account for the fact that we were unable to enjoy the outdoor space due to the construction noise, and they refused - claiming there was no construction noise (even though they said they were not local). We offered to provide them the video/audio proof but they refused to listen. I’ve never had an issue with an airbnb host before, so it was unfortunate Tim was unwilling to listen to a guest’s valid concerns and resolve the issue.

As Kara mentioned, she requested a refund from us. However, what Kara neglected to include in her review was that, following our decision not to issue a refund, she escalated the matter to Airbnb's resolution process for an independent assessment. Airbnb conducted a thorough investigation and ultimately concurred with our position, determining that Kara's claim was invalid. Subsequent to Airbnb's decision, Kara posted the review in question, which is retaliatory and repeats some of the same claims that were deemed invalid by airbnb. It's worth noting that Kara did communicate with us early in her stay, and we made efforts to accommodate her concerns, including suspending maintenance activities for the duration of her visit. Regrettably, we were unable to mitigate her dissatisfaction with the natural sounds of the environment, specifically the noise from cicadas. After her initial communication, we did not hear from Kara until check-out. Kara's private feedback to us was positive: "The house was lovely, the view was amazing, and the weather was great." However, upon departure, she raised numerous issues in what appeared to be an attempt to bolster her refund request. At our property, guest satisfaction is of paramount importance. We consistently strive to address our guests' concerns to the best of our ability within the framework of our policies and commitments. Unfortunately, it appears that Kara did not approach this situation with the same level of good faith that we extended to her. We remain committed to providing exceptional experiences for all our guests and regret any dissatisfaction experienced by Kara during her stay.
