The location of the place is very good, quite quiet, with easy access. The place is very connected to nature and far from the noise of the highway. I recommend it 100%.

Excellent value-for-money accommodation, surrounded by nature. Our dog was free and comfortable at all times. Mike was always available to assist us with anything we needed. At one point, we lost power, and he quickly fixed the problem for us.

A little jungle gem! If you want to enjoy some piece and watch many animals come visit, this is the place for you. It's not a closed of, luxurious house, but it's just beautiful. And Mike was an incredible host! Very helpful, kind and full of information and tips. We loved the place and would absolutely go back! Thanks for the marvellous stay!

What a truly amazing place to stay. I feel very lucky to have had that experience. My girlfriend and I loved staying right in the jungle. They were very accommodating. They actually got us a new bed upon arrival and I requested some kitchen things and they also made that happen. The hot shower worked. You literally could have monkeys, toucans, and all sorts of other animals outside of your door everyday. There’s so many new things every day. But that also comes with night creatures. Keep an eye out for centipedes, and tarantulas. Lots of geckos. But that is living in the jungle. We loved it.

We loved the cabina! Very unique area away from the noise of the main road. The jungle sounds were unlike anything we’ve experienced here. Vibrating with energy and music. So beautiful to be a part of!

Staying at the Jungle Bird Cabin was an absolutely amazing experience! The location is perfect - close to the supermarket and very easy to get to Puerto Viejo, Playa Cocles, and other nearby spots. Tucked slightly inland in the jungle, the cabin feels wonderfully peaceful and secluded, and it’s a dream for birdwatching. My boyfriend, who’s passionate about ornithology, was beyond excited by the incredible variety of bird species (and a sloth!) we spotted right from the terrace! Mike and Cesmar are outstanding hosts - warm, welcoming, and always happy to help - and they truly made us feel at home. We had such a fantastic stay and would 100% come back if we’re ever in the area again. Highly recommended!

Good accommodation in the forest. The feeling of waking up surrounded by trees is great. The host is super responsive and helped me in the evening because I couldn't get the shower to work because I didn't understand during check-in Very discreet, you feel good. A little plus, a small padlock to secure your belongings inside. the toilets, bathroom, bedding, towels were perfectly clean! the bouquet of flowers in the bathroom was a nice touch but overall I found the place a little less fresh than in the pictures. So expect a rustic cabin in the woods rather than a clean "at home" Airbnb.

Wow, what an incredible experience! I was looking for a calm and serene place surrounded by nature, and that’s exactly what I got. I saw so many birds, monkeys, frogs, and even capybaras. There’s also a beautiful trail that leads to a stunning lake — truly a genuine jungle experience. Mike was very welcoming and helpful with any questions or concerns, and Cesmar was extremely responsive as well. If you’re looking for an authentic jungle getaway, I highly recommend this place!

If you're looking for a true nature experience, don't look any further. This is an amazing place to experience the jungle. You'll have a basic cabin with all the amenities you'll need. Just listen to the sounds of the bush or sit in front of the cabin with a drink and watch the wildlife in front of you. There is a toucan-nest, agoutis, all sorts of insects, monkeys and more. Mike is there to help you if needed or to have a chat with. Highly recommended!

It’s set in a beautiful and secluded location, surrounded by gorgeous views of nature and only about five minutes away from town by car. There are grocery stores and the beach within a 10-minute walking distance. The Wifi was fast and stable. Mike, the owner of the property, was very hospitable and attentive to all my needs. Overall, I had an amazing stay here and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to visit Puerto Viejo.

For the full jungle experience we can truly recommend this accommodation literally in the jungle. We saw animals close by and were listening to the night sounds of the jungle. The little place is really cute with outdoor kitchen. The owner Mike was a wonderful host and we especially enjoyed the tasty bananas. We had a wonderful week :-) Thank you so much!

I stayed at the cabin for a little over two weeks and couldn’t have been happier! This is a truly special place. It is incredibly quiet and private, surrounded by the sounds of the jungle and tons of wildlife just out your front porch. Everything was as described (WiFi was great for steaming, bed is comfy, mosquito net and fans available), if not better as there was a hot shower, which I wasn’t even expecting! Cesmar was incredibly kind and easy to connect with prior to my arrival - he even picked me up from the bus stop and dropped me off to make sure I settled in ok. Mike (who owns the property and built the cabin) was equally kind and happy to help with anything I needed or questions I had while I was there… and gave some great recommendations for things to do/places to eat. I felt very comfortable (as a solo woman traveler) and right at home from day 1. I just left and miss it already! Would definitely stay here again.
