Villa Tipsy Gecko was the perfect place to celebrate a 50th birthday with our group of 9. An astonishing value for the rate, the villa is fully staffed at all times with stellar service provided by Mabel, the house manager. Javier was happy to help troubleshoot the tv so we could tune into the super bowl, Mindy was delightful every day in her housekeeping rounds and Manuel served us memorable meals and was a consummate professional. All of the staff were amazing at their jobs and kind humans to boot. Really they made our stay and we are so grateful for the hospitality. Bob provided thorough communication throughout the planning process and helped us arrange transportation through a great local tour company who, by the way, were also incredible people. Zero complaints, just good times.

We had a wonderful trip, celebrating Christmas on the beach as an extended family this year. Bob was a great host, and all the staff at the villa were so helpful. The beach was beautiful and even though it poured rain several days, we enjoyed spending time together inside playing games and reading. We had lots of fun on the kayaks and paddleboards, and made good use of the kitchen. Something for everyone here!

What a great place to make memories. A private villa in a beautiful setting. . We felt right at home and the caretaker staff was great. We would have booked this place even without a chef but having the chef for three days was extra nice. Manuel is friendly and flexible and had no issues making the meals vegetarian. We liked the extras that we had not even thought off like coffee and sugar to get us started and regular restocking of filtered drinking water. The grounds and pool were kept very nice by Junior (who also promptly helped rescue us when the first golf cart decided to stop working) and we also appreciated Mindy's hard work keeping the house (and our laundry....another bonus) clean. The wifi was good. Baggo and the pool kept us entertained and we enjoyed watching manatees off the pier. Thanks for a great vacation.

Everyone from start to finish was helpful and friendly. The chef and laundry service included was amazing. Lots of things to do or chill on the dock in the hammock. A true paradise. We would definitely stay here again.

We had an amazing time, Tipsy Gecko was just perfect for our group. the staff were all wonderful, the house was even better than I expected (pictures don't quite do it justice). We enjoyed doing some tours and activities but always looked forward to getting back to the house and playing some more, relaxing, and enjoying an awesome meal when the chef came.

What an amazing stay and opportunity. The hostess was responsive and kind. the place was stunning and a joy to be in. we are so lucky to get to stay at the Tipsy gecko!

Awesome property in a great location - 30 minutes from Placencia. The staff was great and the entire team was very responsive. Easy to get around the peninsula and didn't have to go too far for restaurants, etc. Highly recommended - the property has everything you need for a family getaway.

Our group of 13 (8 adults and 5 kids) had a great time. The house was beautiful and staff was great.

So many things stood out. Great staff. Friendly, responsive, met every request with a smile. Laundry service was special. You could tell the host took pride in the house and landscaping. Beds were comfortable. A+ recommendation.

The tipsy gecko was an incredible house and exceeded our expectations. We were there the end of September, during slow season, but there was still quite a bit to do. The golf cart was amazing to have as we went into the village almost everyday. You trying can’t beat the views and location of this house. We felt extremely safe. The house staff was also incredible. Mabel went above and beyond to make sure our needs were met. We highly would recommend this house especially if you are traveling with a large group. We will be back!

Very difficult to put into words… beautiful well kept property. It’s all that’s described and more. The crew was exceptionally good and friendly. The chef cooked some delicious meals for us… this place is a must visit again!!

Robert’s place was exactly as he described it. The amenities (private beach, pier/dock, chef, golf cart, housekeeping, and paddle boards/kayaks), were great. I recommend utilizing the chef (Manuel) as he made awesome meals for us. I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a great family vacation.

Bob was amazing to work with, very responsive and it felt like I had my own personal travel agent when booking and having questions. Staff was friendly, helpful and absolutely terrific to work with. Tipsy Gecko is in a great location, peaceful and even though there were people at the villa next door, you had privacy and it was still quite. Every morning Jorge would clean the pool, rake the beach and clean up what was needed. He was just a pleasure. Mabel, the house manager is awesome and always took time when needed. We had two chef's, Brittany was a sub and Julie. Both cooked fabulous food and way too much of it too :) Our housekeeper was there everyday and always did a great job! Having access to the golf cart was very beneficial as the village is about 9 miles away. It takes about an hour to drive it, but there are wonderful restaurants .5 to 1 mile away too. The villa was stunning, the pool perfect, beach and dock a huge bonus. I highly recommend Bob and Villa Gecko!
