Great stay. Convenient location between Quepos and Manuel Antonio, close to restaurants etc. yet feels secluded. Loved the daily monkey visits in the mornings and cooling off and relaxing in the pool in the evenings. House was well equipped and clean and comfortable. Hosts were helpful and communicated well. The beach close by is quite the hike but enjoyed the challenge. Would stay here again and would recommend to others.

We recently stayed for a week and absolutely enjoyed every aspect of this house and experience. Adriana was helpful and guided us every step of the way by giving us very helpful recommendations and even helped us book some excursions. The house was such a beautiful place for us to come back to after our outings and we enjoyed the pool and amenities daily. We were a group of 8 (4 adults and 4 teens) and everyone enjoyed their stay. The wildlife was an experience we will all remember, morning coffees with the capuchin monkeys every morning at around 6am and hanging out with the resident iguana by the pool. (Don't worry, he will not bother you) The pool is cleaned daily which was wonderful to not have to worry about a thing. I would recommend staying away from low profile vehicles if you rent a car and if you plan to go to the Playa Macha beach to wear proper footwear as the hike is quite steep. I would highly recommend Casa La Macha for your stay.

Our group of nine had such a wonderful stay here. The hosts are absolutely gracious and kind. The perfect blend of helpful and responsive while also giving plenty of space. Loved the tribe of monkeys that visited each morning as well as the resident iguanas. Enjoyed daily visits to the secluded beach as well as night time hangs by the pool. Would highly recommend. Thanks so much for hosting our group!

Our stay was absolutely incredible & I can’t say enough nice things about Adriana & Matt. They are hosts that go above & beyond for their guests. The house was even better than we had pictured & the amount of wildlife we were able to see just outside the house was amazing. Adriana set up a whole area of the house for our 1 year old with so many toys & anything we could have needed for him during our stay. She even helped with amazing recommendations & booked our tours for us to explore the beautiful area of Quepos/Manuel Antonio. I would recommend this home to everyone! 10/10 🫶🏼

The host was helpful, friendly and so quick to answer any questions about the area…. My first time to Costa Rica and would return and stay at this beautiful house again and again One word to newbies…. The beach is a hike with hills, so it’s not your stroll to the beach with chairs and coolers like you are used as a tourist but we did the hike everyday and loved it!!!! The pool- WOW!!!! Clean, inviting and the perfect shade and sun combo for relaxing days. You may see a monkey or iguana to visit you…. Spectacular place and 100 percent recommend!!!

We spent 8 days at Adriana’s place. It’s even better than the pictures! There’s lots of space to spread out and the downstairs two bedrooms are like their own private apartment. The road is rough; we had a 4x4 and still got a flat tire. We were thankful to Matt for offering assistance with an air compressor. We had lots of great animal encounters just from the house and walk to the beach: white faced monkeys, red backed squirrel monkeys, scarlet macaws, toucans. Playa La Macha beach was the favorite of our beaches that we visited. As has been noted, it’s a strenuous hike both ways, but well worth the effort and you can jump in the pool to cool off after the hike back up, which we routinely did. Adriana set us up with a local chef, David, who along with his wife, made us several fabulous dinners. I did have some initial anxiety regarding safety given the recently issued US travel advisory, but we felt very safe in the house and in Manuel Antonio. Shopping, grocery stores and great rest

A very nice place tucked into the woods. As many have noted, the road in is a bit tough and the first driveway is quite steep so you'll want a good vehicle with high clearance. The place looked exactly like the pictures and the beach close by, while a bit of a hike, was absolutely stunning.

The stay at Adriana's house was excellent. The place is beautiful. All the finishes and spaces are in keeping with the place where it is located. In addition, the pool adds an extra plus. Every day we were there we felt super welcome and we would return anyway.

We had a wonderful stay at this clean, well-kept house in the jungle! It feels very private and was quiet and peaceful all the time. The pool is small, but met our needs and is skimmed daily by staff (who we did not see, so it felt like it got cleaned magically). There are lots of great restaurants just a five minute drive away and Adriana’s recommendations were spot-on. Our favorites were Vista Verde and Emilio’s Cafe. The beaches we liked best were about a 10 minute drive. The road to get to the house was rough. Our rental car struggled with it. Get a 4x4 if you can. It is a steep dirt road. The only downside of the house is that it really isn’t walkable to anything because of that road. There was a crew paving it though while we were there, so that might be better soon. We were delighted to have monkey visitors twice during the six days we were there! Our kids were in love with the monkeys and it was incredible to feel truly surrounded by nature. Would definitely stay again!

A wonderful time and great wildlife watching! The pool was amazing — especially in the evenings. We enjoyed having a full kitchen for cooking and lots of room to spread out. The pictures are definitely true to the property.

Our stay was amazing! We had 3 small children and 2 older children- was great for all. The pool was amazing. Restaurants are very close. Do recommend a 4x4 vehicle. The hike to the beach was hard but our older kids did it with ease. Adriana was very responsive and had great recommendations. PURA VIDA!

We had an incredible stay at the house near Playa la Macha! The place was immaculately clean, wonderfully spacious, and surrounded by vibrant wildlife. Mornings were a delight with coffee and playful monkeys as my companions. Relaxing by the pool offered sightings of parrots, white-nosed coati, iguanas, crabs, and a variety of beautiful birds. The proximity to great hiking trails right outside the door was a bonus, and the 15-minute, moderately challenging walk to the beach made each day more adventurous. Overall, a perfect blend of nature and relaxation. Highly recommended!

We loved our stay at Casa Playa La Macha. The pool area was wonderful and we all spent every morning there enjoying coffee and wildlife. The road is as described but our 4X4 rental handled the road just fine. The walk to the beach is difficult but all 6 of us agreed it was our favorite beach of the vacation. It’s stunning, and if you are physically able very worth the trek. Adriana was so responsive to any questions and communication was great. We WILL stay here again if we are fortunate enough to revisit the area!

Beautiful house in a great location. We really enjoyed our stay here. Very close to the beach and the park. We were visited by friendly monkeys. Owners were very responsive to all of our questions and helped with local recommendations. I would love to come back to this beautiful place.
