The cabin where we stayed was super comfortable for 5 adults, a girl, and a baby. The fact that it's practically on the beach, breakfast is included, we can use the pool at the hotel next door, and the staff's service make this place a gem in Sámara. In short, 100% recommended!

Wonderful location, very friendly and responsive staff, well maintained, nice local pool, great for letting the kids play, kid friendly. Amazing features: free and delicious breakfast, and access to the nice pool in the adjacent locanda. Amazing location right on the beach. Several boogie boards available for free. There were a few issues: 1- lack of privacy (partially remedied with curtains), 2- lot of leaks when it rained (kids room got partially covered with a layer of water), 3- cannot flush paper in the toilet (so it smells after a while), 4 - few crabs (we saw 4 in 3 days), 5- dark living room. We still recommend the place, thought it should cost less given these issues. The main plus is the ideal position on the beach. They kindly moved us to locanda when the room flooded. This accommodation was supposed to be more upscale (room A8), but there the water was frequently not working, preventing cooking, cleaning, showering and drinking. This was disappointing given the costs.

Friendly staff, from the receptionists to the guy who cleans the jacuzzi, helped me get shuttle service. Mr. Victor was an excellent person. He accompanied us in the evening and took very good care of the hotel...

Our group of 6 had a wonderful stay at villa 10! The location was unbeatable, right on the beach and next door to a great beachfront restaraunt and close to town. The villa had everything we needed. The breakfast and pool access at their sister hotel next door was a great bonus, however service was pretty slow for breakfast so keep it in mind if in a hurry. Beach was beautiful and they had loungers for use as well as sand toys and boogie boards which our kids loved! They also have a small but beautiful plunge pool which we also enjoyed. Overall we loved our stay at hotel Macao and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a quiet beachfront stay in samara!

The grounds were always kept extremely clean. There were loungers to use on the beach. Rooms were cleaned daily and linens changed. The staff were always very friendly and helpful. We stayed a a group of 10 between rooms 10, 2 and 1 and all had the amenities we needed. Room 10 with the kitchen was perfect for cook with our group of kids and adults. Great location walkable to everything. The cool jacuzzi was amazing and in the shade when you needed a break from the sun.

Hotel Macao was beautiful! Accessible to town, market, and the beach! I apartment was clean and had all amenities we needed. The staff were so fantastic and always willing to help. The first night the air conditioning did not work and there were a lot of insects in one of the bedrooms. The next day the staff sprayed for bugs and they did go away for the most part. Breakfast at the hotel next door was okay for quality. The service was not excellent. Long wait times to get your water, coffee or food.

Great location!! Close to all restaurants/services, everything is within walking distance from the beach! Feet in the sand from morning to night, the sound of the waves, a delicious breakfast every morning! Don't expect the apartment to be super luxurious. The furniture is outdated, and there are small ants. However, that doesn’t stop us from coming back every year! The location is unbeatable :-). Thank you, Hotel Macao! Right on the beach, with 2 restaurants next door and a short walk to Samara’s other amenities, this is a great spot. Breakfast was included as was access to the pool in the next hotel so it really was a good deal

I love this place. This was our second visit, and stayed in apartment 10. It has air in the main room, but if you leave the ac unit on, it does make some effort in the bedrooms. The kitchen and living area are rather large. You cannot beat the beach location. It’s just perfect for a little stay in Samara.

Amazing location, peaceful, beautiful, WOW. I'm surprised the hotel doesn't upgrade its rooms to ask for more per night (sofa, table), because with this location it's ideal! We even had a mini pool in the center of the rooms with water views, WoW! Breakfast service is sometimes slow, In addition, breakfast only starts at 7:30, which is late if you organize activities. We had room 10, as the reviews said, it's very dark, we had mosquitoes, except that after examining the windows we had resolved this issue by properly closing them. The laundry room is behind our living room and sometimes the employees were talking loudly as if they were in our room (bad insulation). There are ants in the room, they are not tiring but near my bed, it bothered me. The kitchen comes with no products (salt, pepper, oil, etc.). It's worth it anyway because the location is amazing.

It was great! Right on the beach, hotel amenities next door and lots of low key easy to eat restaurants with lots of choice.
