Very nice place to stay, unfortunately too many mosquitoes during the rainy season on the northern half of the island

Loved every bit of my stay! This place is not for people that need a/c lol. You def get thrown in with the locals, and they are all amazing humans. This side is much much slower, but it's a very seamless ferry ride over.

The cottage was perfect for us! Private, secluded, comfortable and a 2 minute walk to a fabulous beach...Koko King Beach! The good morning palapa in the back yard, facing the reef is perfect for sipping coffee while watching the sun comes up and the east facing covered porch is great for afternoon/evening hangout. Sunsets across the street at Koko KIng are the best. Have to admit we were skeptical with no AC but the fans and the ocean breezes kept us cool and if we got hot...we jumped in the sea. Also, we had no bug issues. there are 4 good restaurants on the north island now and a basic convenience store for most of your needs. The split ferry is a 5 minute walk. Can't say enough good stuff about this place except...see you next year as we WILL be back. Thanks for sharing your home.

This was the second time we stayed here. We love it! Private and peaceful.

A lovely spot not far from the ferry across the split. Private and cozy. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again.

Love the location-able to very easily get to the South Island but always happy to come back to the north island d for peace and sanctuary. Amazing deck! Loved the hammocks! I do believe the bed is a double, not a queen. Fully stocked kitchen, some quirky light fixtures-some not working. Overall, great, quiet space.

We had a great stay in Caye Caulker and the hosts were extremely helpful, especially with pick up and recommendations!

The host arranged everything from the airport to the listing, with a lot of flexibility. The welcome was warm. I loved using the bikes at our disposal to travel to the north and south islands. Look out for a lot of mosquitoes on the North Island. Very nice experience with a lot of calm in the evening. In the morning, the birdsong wakes us up. That's fine. Thank you.

We enjoyed the responsive owner/host, accurate pictures, private beach, plenty of outdoor space and hammocks, and use of the bikes. The beach is private, but not ideal for wading into or swimming - the ocean floor is soft and you'll sink into it. Across the road King Kong Beach charges $5/day. We knew there was no air conditioning, but being less than 100 yards from the ocean we expected a nice breeze. Unfortunately mangroves completely block the bedroom from that benefit, and obstruct the ocean view. Windows are hurricane shutters with screens and don't completely close, which meant birds chirping at 5am and golf carts rumbling by right underneath. We struggled to get a good night's sleep and had to check out a few days early. As others noted, the North Side is starting to develop but you'll still be at the mercy of the water taxis to cross the split and have to plan your day around their operating hours. It's not for everyone, but if you can deal with the above it's a good value.

My husband, teen and I loved our stay at Caye Caulker. Levita (property manager) was lovely to work with when any questions came up. Relaxing and beautiful!

We had a lovely stay at the purple house. It was clean, comfortable and had all the amenities we needed. The store is within walking distance and the beach across the street 'managed' by Mobster was a lovely treat when we didn't want to go far (he's really caretaking & the resort is currently being sold, but the location is really beautiful). Definitely visit Bliss beach a new spot on the North island. The beach at the house isn't swimmable which would've been good to know in advanced but it did not take away from the spectacular sunrises and location of this spot. We'd definitely visit here again!!

We had a very nice time and especially enjoyed the large veranda. The cabana is well-equipped and cozy. Great that there were bikes for us. The beach right on the property is not really suitable for bathing, as actually almost everywhere on Caye Caulker, but across the street it was better. Translating from the South Caye with the small ferry works smoothly at any time and is fun. Recently, there is also a supermarket just a 3-minute walk away, but it doesn't have fresh fruit or vegetables but everything else.

The Sandy Feet Resort was such a lovely place to stay in Placencia. Great location and felt like a home away from home. Having the beachfront pool was one of my 9 year old daughter's favorite parts of our trip through Belize. The poolside restaurant/bar on site, The Bohemian, had delicious food and drink and super friendly staff. Shout out to Naya, Omar, Gilbert, Jolly, Palace and Jim-you all were the best! Thank you Christina for sharing your place with us, we have already been talking about our return trip next year!

Absolutely lovely place, quiet, maybe a bit far from the restaurants but with the bikes they lend is no longer a problem ! A typical Caribbean house, all wooden and very well equipped. Excellent WIFI. All windows with sieves , hammock, hot water, etc ...everything was perfect ! And an excellent Amie service...

Great place to stay at Caye Caulker if you are looking for a remote gem! It is nice and quiet in the area, with easy access to the busier areas.

We loved the solitude and privacy. One downside was that we could hear the music beat from the lazy lizard but they were only open late one night. Nice to have bikes available! Nice private beach. No AC but the breeze through the place cooled it nicely at night. Levita was easy to get in touch with and response was quick. Would highly recommend!

This place is beautiful, a perfect beach getaway! The property managers were extremely kind, helpful, and accommodating. The house is on the north island, so very quiet and secluded but with all the amenities you need. The host was also kind enough to leave the house stocked with a few food essentials. Small things to be aware of - the property managers were sometimes slow to respond, and also it's not really necessary to have them arrange the transfer for you. The transfer cost us USD$40 but only covered the taxi from the airport to the water taxi. We still needed to pay for the ferry and a second taxi on the island ourselves. Better to look up the schedule and arrange the transfer to/from the airport yourself!
Host Response
The transfer is a standard cost.... in fact, if you grab a taxi without planning for it, they charge that for each person, and you'll get stuffed in! But if you know a cheap way to get to the water taxi, I'd love to add it to our description. :D

We had front row seats to the hottest beach around. Koko King beach, just across the road. And people from all around came here. Covid caused the facility to shut down, but it was still a very active beach. Say hi to Mobster, the caretaker, if you go by. Christina's place was just what we needed. My new mantra hangs on the wall over the big bed; "And to the OCEAN I go, to lose my mind and find my SOUL". That's exactly what staying here allowed. Loud banging music from the Southside-partiers, during the day, but nights were completely peaceful and bliss. Not having AC wasn't even a problem. We were barely there during the day. And the nights cooled just enough to let us get comfortable. I miss the special spray nozzle toilet. I'm looking for one of my own. Had forgotten about nothing in the toilet if it doesn't come from your body. Biked/walked everywhere. Nearby restaurants were yummy. El Ben 2 times, Happy Lobster (both) multiple times. Loved Caye Caulker. Thanks

I am so glad you enjoyed my little hideaway. I’m here now, recovering from a concussion and it is soothing my mind and healing my soul too.

really fascinating place. if you are OK being a little remote and don't need all the fancy thrills. the boat taxi is on-demand and very easy and fun!

This home is indeed cute, clean, private and away from the bustle of town, which we were looking for. But what we didn’t anticipate- and wish this had been more clear in the listing- is we happened to come during the low season when all of the north side services and restaurants were closed. It also has been an unusually hot week in Belize, and while we expected a breeze from the eastern “beachfront” cottage location, the overgrown mangroves blocked any view and breeze off the ocean, and the fans were just not enough to cool us off. We ended up leaving after one night for the south side. The ferry is an easy 2-minute trip across the split- and the house is about 5 minute walk to the north. Be mindful of the amount of luggage you bring, as the walk can be a bit of a slog through puddles if there’s been a recent rain. The bikes allowed us to explore a bit- we appreciated that amenity very much. Nice place, and if you’re looking for quiet and peace, you’ll find it here.

We had a pleasant stay at cayer Caucker. Place is very nice, away from tourists and spacious. One day there was heavy rain + wind and Emily immediately followed up if all was good and came to fix some minor issues. Strongly recommended!

We stayed Tue-Sat and really enjoyed our time at the house! Everything was as described. The house felt very private, away from the business of the south island. We laid out on the hammocks for hours just listening to the breeze. The ferry was super easy and always available to take us across, say hello to our friend Clayto- he was a memorable and lovely part of our trip. We got a punch card which nearly got us to the end of our trip. There was plenty to do on the south island and we also enjoyed biking and exploring the north island. Everyone we came into contact with was helpful and friendly. Highly recommend staying here!

This place offered the peace and quiet we were looking for. The use of bikes was very appreciated as we were able to tour more of the Caye at our leisure. My only wish would have been that our private beach was more inviting, the sargassum was really piling up but nature is what it is. There is a beach across the road from the cabana at Koko King that we went to a few times, although nearing the end of our stay they were charging people to enter it. Levita was great at communicating, she also arranged for our pick up from the airport to the water taxi, which I recommend. She arranged for Peter to pick us up from the taxi once we’d got to the Caye and then met us at the Split to take us over to the cabana. Made our first trip to Belize stress free. The ferries at the slip started early and went well into the evening so getting back and for was no problem. We purchased a punch card from one of the vendors which saved a few dollars on crossings. Really enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon. We absolutely loved it! The house and property were as described; it was very quiet and peaceful. We spent many days exploring the island and ocean, but we were also intentional about just enjoying the beautiful atmosphere of the Airbnb…doing yoga on the patio, reading in the hammocks, listening to and watching the birds, and looking for shells near the beach. As well as the physical property, the host was excellent with communication and recommendations. We honestly can’t wait to stay again!

My partner and I recently stayed in this peaceful little place and we loved it! It was so close it the southern part of Caye caulker so we didn’t feel like we were missing out at all! Such a special place and the house was perfect for the two of us. The management company was amazing and super helpful!

We loved our stay at Christina’s. It was private and peaceful, but close enough and accessible to the south part of the island. It felt like we had the best of both worlds. Would definitely stay here again! We really enjoyed our private beach and the iguanas in the yard!

Simple and rustic but everything you would need. Bed is a little small if you’re 6 ft tall. Gorgeous property with own view of the sea.

Amazing location. Bikes for both of us so we could explore easily. Didn’t have hot water for a day or two but it didn’t matter at all. The wind out of the east made it really comfortable and big free. We were worried about the bugs but didn’t need to be! I can’t wait to go back again!

Loved staying at Christina’s! It was a private escape with hammocks and a personal beach, truly special. Everyone was responsive and helpful and kind. The only bummer about staying there is the super short but necessary ferry to the other island ended at 8 nightly, so despite wanting to stay out longer, we felt we had a bit of a curfew. The north island is becoming way more developed and more ferries run in more popular seasons, just think that would have been helpful info! Despite that, I honestly would not have changed a thing!

Enjoy an island paradise from the comfort of your own private oasis! Ami and Leveta were incredible hosts and made us feel right at home. I highly recommend having them arrange your transportation from the airport to the island. It was seamless and all we had to do was enjoy the beautiful scenery. The North Island is so quiet and peaceful, and you have a couple of great bar/restaurants within walking distance (we ate at the Northside Beach Club almost every night!). A very quick ferry ride will drop you on the South Island to enjoy delicious seafood, tropical drinks, and incredible tours of the reef. This was an incredible way to start our Belize trip and we're so grateful!

Beautiful little cabana in a gorgeous location. Plenty of amenities to make the stay easy and convenient (big spray, sunscreen, kitchen supplies etc.) which was really helpful when traveling light and visiting a tropical location with factors like bugs and sun etc. Wake up and enjoy breakfast on the deck with the iguanas sunning down below, relax in the breeze in the hammock, take a stroll to the water taxi when you’re ready for some excitement across the split. Be ready for lots of mosquitos and humidity but that comes with the locale.
