3BR Home in Pedregal

Good, 1 year ago

As others have said in previous reviews, Villa Turnage is in the amazing Pedregal Neighborhood with beautiful ocean views and easy walk to the beach. We found the beds to be very comfortable and the house very spacious. Georgina is super friendly and communicative. She was able to quickly address a couple issues that came up during our stay. The Airbnb is in need of some maintenance in multiple areas, and some of the pictures need to be updated to show the current condition. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and it was a good value for the price. I think with the needed maintenance, we would 100% consider coming back.

We enjoyed the Villa Turnage’s beautiful views and peaceful patio’s. There was some construction that made enjoying the pool a bit noisy. We enjoyed comfortable beds and having the doors open to the evening air, the rooms on the back of the house to the patios all have screens. It was nice to watch the sun rise and set and see the whales perform while enjoying the fire pit. The place could use a bit of maintenance but didn’t hinder the functionality at all. Will definitely stay here again, as the price for us was affordable.

Our stay at Jannine’s Airbnb in Cabo was nothing short of spectacular! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the stunning views, beautifully decorated space, and thoughtful touches throughout. The home was spotless, well-equipped, and perfectly located—just minutes from the beach, great restaurants, and nightlife. Georgina was incredibly responsive and provided fantastic recommendations, making our trip even more memorable. The outdoor area was a dream, perfect for relaxing with a drink and soaking in the breathtaking Cabo sunsets. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will absolutely be returning! If you're considering this place—book it now!!

Very clean place. The view was amazing! 5 minutes to the beach. Very secure and safe.

Hi Amy, we’d like to offer you a 10% discount on your next stay! Jannine 🌸

Well they say in real estate that its all about location, location, location. This is a great great location. Wonderful private beach and great views from the balcony. A few updated over do items should be replaced as it warrants due to the description and the multi million dollar homes surround this one. Overall great value and great stay. The dishwasher is not operable for us as well as the fire pit. There is a large hole in the gas ring. Also large bbq is not operable. The lounge chairs outside need to be replaced and just general updates would be a big help. The pool has some missing tile and is poorly represented in the pictures. But if you find this to be a deal do not hesitate. All those things can be overlooked. Host was great.

Thank you for your constructive review. We really enjoyed having you as guests of Villa Turnage. Happy New Year! Jannine

Villa Turnage is located on a steep, winding road in a very hilly private neighborhood in Cabo San Lucas. The view to the ocean from the back patio is gorgeous and the small pool in the front courtyard is very refreshing. The place is surrounded by multimillion dollar villas that seem to come to life on the weekends and empty out during the week. While there was music playing and a number of parties during the day, it was very quiet at night. The entry gate is guarded by security 24/7. Visitors in cars are required to leave identification at the gate until they exit. However, if you are staying for a number of days, you can request a permit for your car that allows you to enter and exit at will without leaving your ID each time. The main tourist drag of Cabo San Lucas is a 20-minute walk up and down a steep hill from the house. The neighborhood beach is a 10-15 minute stroll downhill. The beach is beautiful for lounging or a walk but definitely not safe for swimming. The house itself is spacious and the host, Jannine, is responsive and accommodating. She does not live locally so she employs local help (in our case, a relation of hers named Georgina) to assist with on-site issues. Unfortunately there were a number of issues during our stay but both Jannine and Georgina was responsive and able to get things to a state where we were comfortable. Hopefully the repairs made during and following our time in the villa will lay a good foundation for future guests! The house has a well-equipped kitchen with functioning microwave, stove, fridge, freezer, sink, and blender. Ample drinking water was provided. We were not able to use the dishwasher, oven, or grills due to condition issues. There is a convenient laundry room with functioning washer and dryer. Two of the bedrooms are spacious with king beds and en suite bathrooms. One of those does not have efficient air conditioning. The third bedroom is just down the hall from the full family bathroom and is a little cramped with all of the furniture in it but is perfectly adequate for sleeping a couple of friends who don't want to share a bed. All of the bedrooms and the living room have ceiling fans. All of the bathrooms have showers. We found a beach umbrella and three folding chairs in the house and appreciated having those for our excursions. The house was 9.5/10 clean when we arrived, and that was with Georgina rushing in order to accommodate our request to check in early. We appreciated how accommodating she was and we were not put off by the few spots that were left (all of the essentials like kitchen and bathroom surfaces and linens were in great shape). Tips for your stay: 1. Rent a car (we used Cactus Rentals at the airport), get the best insurance you can, and park the car in the garage behind/beneath the house to keep it cool. Uber is available but not officially licensed in Cabo, the walk to town is not a very easy one, and the swimming beaches are at least a 10-15 minute drive away, so if you don't have your own car you will be spending a lot of time hiking in the sun or waiting for non-Uber cabs. 2. Explore eateries off the main drag. You won't find many of them on Eater or TripAdvisor, though we also appreciated some of the suggestions we found on both sites (Tacos Gardenia was really lovely despite being a touristy place). We really enjoyed having unfettered access to ceviche at the local mariscos (seafood) joints and the tacos al pastor at the local carne (meat) taco places.

Amazing value for Pedregal. Beautiful home with responsive and very nice hosts. We were in the home for about one week and had an incredible stay. Pedregal neighborhood is a gated community with entry / exit manned 24/7- very safe. House has great views and is close to town and the marina. Car is nice to have but not crucial. We did take Uber once and it arrived quickly. Cabo overall was quite safe with very friendly people. I left my iPhone in an Uber and the driver promptly came back to return. We never felt like some other tourist areas around the world that people were trying to extract every dollar possible form you. Cabo is beautiful and we look forward to our next visit. Highly recommended.
