Roy stays on sight and is an absolute pleasure to be around. He made it very clear that whatever we needed he would take care of and if there was any issues he would get to them right away. He made us feel so welcomed and as though we were long time friends. He showed us around and took us to local spots we would have never found on our own and gave us a personal tour of his family farm. The bar area down below is a cozy hangout area where Roy makes delicious cocktails and provided beers for a cheap price (the first two were free). We met some of his friends and they all made us feel right at home. His small dog Bruna was also a delight and one of the most friendly dogs I have ever met. The room itself served as a nice area to sit back and take a load off whenever you need it. It’s a short walk to the town and everyone in the neighborhood is kind and helpful. All of the excursions we did while staying there picked us up from the front door which was very convenient.

We had an amazing stay at Rose House with our host, Roy. Located in a quiet neighbourhood with great views of the surrounding hills and close proximity to many terrific local eateries. Rose House has a laid back eclectic vibe. It’s 4/20 friendly and exactly what one would expect. Great hangout spots and a super relaxing atmosphere. The onsite bar is quaint with great ambiance. Roy puts his own special touch on the drinks he creates. Fresh ingredients from his family farm elevate these curated drinks. This is no place to ask for conventional cocktails. Let Roy create the perfect cocktail for you! And then there’s Bruna, Roy’s faithful doggo. Bruna adds to the calm, chill vibe. She had plenty of attention from us during our stay and we enjoyed her company. We also enjoyed time hanging with the locals that visited the bar in the evening. Lovely people! Also, let Roy cook for you - ‘Chef’s kiss’. All in all we had an amazing experience with Roy and will definitely return - ‘A Cachete’

Nazareth was great in her communications with us. At Rose House Roy was our host and he was charming and very attentive. His eclectic style was homey and welcoming and there was a bar hangout that he made fun for all the guests; a safe space for everyone who visited. We would reserve this place again if ever in Quepos again and recommend other travellers to stay as well

Despite some difficulties in our initial communication we had a great stay. Both Roy and Nazareth are great people. There were some unique circumstances surrounding our first 2/3 nights there- Roy was unavailable and we didn’t get to stay in the advertised space- but once communication was established it was clear there were circumstances outside of his control. Better communication from the start would have made things easier for all parties and we would have understood more of what was going on. This being said it is a good location that is both a little outside of the hustle and bustle of Quepos yet close enough to walk anywhere you need to go. Feels local and Roy is really as great as everyone says he is! A/C is great, parking behind the gate is great, and Bruna the dog is wonderful!

Lovely quaint little stay, a little disappointed we didn’t get the room in the photos as we expected a little balcony to sit out on, but there was some maintenance going on so c’est la vie! The room we had was clean and the reception was friendly with a spot to park the hire care with a secure gate. Didn’t have time to sample the bar sadly as we were pooped from a long day of exploring! Well worth the very modest price and would happily recommend.

The location of the apartment is ideal to visit Manuel Antonio National Park. The view is very nice and we could already observe some animals from the terrace the next day. Nazareth has always reliably reported, we unfortunately did not meet her personally but Roy, who waited for us until midnight because we had quite delays. The apartment looks very functional. The outdoor area was renovated at the time of our stay, which clouded the ideas of the pictures a bit. Overall, however, we would recommend a stay due to the good location to the Manuel Antonio National Park near Nazareth.
