What else can I say besides Rancho Relaxo was everything our group was hoping for. Colby was super responsive and helpful, the house was amazing and the views were nothing short of incredible! Thank you for helping to make Costa Rica a place we love to continue to visit and a great first experience for our loved ones who were able to join - Pura Vida!

The house is beautiful with a gorgeous view of the ocean. It was perfect for our family gathering. Nestled in a quiet and peaceful gated neighborhood. Plenty of space inside and outside to mingle, visit or have quiet time relaxing alone. We enjoyed the pool. A perfect end to a day of touring, hiking, or hitting the beach. There is a trail off the backyard which we enjoyed. Saw monkeys, macaws, toucans, leaf cutter ants, coatimundi, along with many new beautiful birds. Note, the downstairs bedroom by the garage has its own entrance and is not connected to the main house inside. Also, the upstairs bedroom does not have a bathroom and the stairwell up is steep and not well lit. For these reasons, I would not recommend the home for families with small children. It was great for our group, all adults and one 13 yr old. I would stay here again. Pura Vida!

This house was a great fit for our family of five. We arrived late and the host arranged an escort to the house from the front gate which was very helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool, great views, and relaxing on the front porch. I highly recommend this location to anyone planning a trip to Costa Rica!

Perfect place to stay for our family vacation. Close to all major activities Costa Rica has to offer. The house was clean and in a beautiful location. The pool was just the right size and the surrounding wildlife introduced us to monkeys, toucans, macaws, and more. Colby was responsive and helpful. There were zero complaints from my entire family and that is rare!

I will say it was a bit of a challenge finding the place because it's not easily found on Waze or Google Maps, but once we got into the house, the views were absolutely breathtaking, and it was private enough that my family used it as a time to just unwind and enjoy ourselves. If we got hungry, we went down the hill, visited several restaurants, or went to the little bodega to get groceries for dinner. If we wanted to do something, there are plenty of amenities around for the family to stay busy with, but what I enjoyed the most was sitting on the second floor and watching the ocean with a cup of coffee

We loved our stay! Such a great spot to relax, see the ocean and enjoy the pool. I loved seeing all the birds and wildlife, as well as the monkeys at sunrise! A comfortable space to stay with AC! Playa Hermosa and Jaco have so much to offer-a great spot! We loved our early morning coffees on the deck and our late morning coffees at Bohio! Colby was very helpful and a great host!

We received immediate responses from Colby, always very helpful. The recommendation of the personal chef was one of our best meals. I’d stay there again.

Absolutely amazing stay! The house was exactly as pictured, and the view even better than the photos. The sunsets are incredible. The house was spacious with everything you need. We saw tucans and parrots everyday in the trees around the house. There is a gated roadway leading up to the house with guards stationed 24/7, so you never felt unsafe. The instructions were clear from Colby and when you arrive one guard even leads you up to the house to ensure you find it okay. As far as location, Jaco is a very cute city - coffee shops, grocery stores, restaurants. Things to check out nearby: Manuel Antonio town (about an hour away, eat at Ronnie’s Place — amazing view and food!), Rainmaker Park (walk through rainforest, see waterfalls, swim in the natural pools), ziplining. We also hired a private chef for a night as well to come to the house to celebrate a bday! Overall, the perfect home to stay for a relaxing vacation with excursions mixed in. Great location with everything you need!

Pictures don’t do this place justice! It’s an absolutely beautiful house! The backyard and pool was where we spent most of our days relaxing and enjoying the amazing views and sunsets. Toucans, monkeys and iguanas in the yard. Walkable to the beach and restaurants. Colby was extremely responsive and gave great recommendations! Would absolutely return back!

On arrival, we were greeted at the guardhouse and given a personal escort up the winding road to the house. The home has beautiful views of the Pacific and you can hear the waves crashing against the beach. There is a nature trail adjacent to the house where we saw monkeys and wild pigs. Every day we had toucans, macaws, iguanas, kiskadees, and wild turkeys at the home. There is a quick and steep shortcut to walk directly to the beach, but not doable carrying or lugging a chair or bag. The house was spacious and comfortable for our group of 6. All the beds were comfortable and rooms with own AC units. The kitchen is large and stocked well. We hired Nidia (per Colby’s recommendation) to cook a traditional CR breakfast and dinner and we HIGHLY recommend her. Not only is her food delicious but she shares her culture too! This was a great location out of the city, but close enough to activities we wanted to do. Eat at Vida Hermosa & Lemon Zest.
