Great home with an amazing view. It’s a bit far away from town but worth the distance. The host communicated well and made me feel at home. Would definitely return for another stay and recommend to my family and friends.

Great location at the end of a quiet, rustic street. It felt very private and removed from the center of town, which we really appreciated. We spent a lot of time on the deck, which has nice views of the water and parts of town. My two adult children and I were there for a week of scuba diving and fishing, and it was a great place to come back to and relax. There isn’t a beach and the water here isn’t swimmable due to shallow areas and vegetation, but having the water view was still enjoyable. We used the bikes to get around, and it was an easy 10-minute ride into the center of Caye Caulker. There were also two grocery stores nearby, along with a convenient place to get laundry done. Amiela and Levita were very helpful and responsive throughout our stay. Highly recommended if you’re looking for peace and quiet away from the crowds.

The worst Airbnb host in my entire experience on the platform He's only interested in selling you tours and extra experiences and nothing else, and if you buy it, he forgets about you. Slightly professional The description of the accommodation is misleading. They sell you the idea of a pristine beach and it is completely FALSE. The sandy beach is under construction and the sea is a swamp. It is dangerous and it is forbidden to swim in the sea because you can die. The only thing it has is a view but THERE IS NO BEACH The information you have about the location is not clear, it is not specified He never mentions that to get to the key the last ferry is at 5 pm, that means that the maximum check-in would be at 6:30 pm The listing page doesn't mention anything about it. I lost a night of my accommodation, the most important of the year, from December 30 to January 1, because he can't arrive, since he never clarified the crossing times from Belize City to Cayo Coulker. It took him more than 3 hours to respond to each message.
Host Response
Victor, We strongly disagree with the statements made in this review and feel it is important to clarify the facts for future guests. All arrival instructions, including our airport pickup procedure and associated costs, were clearly communicated in our initial emails and pre-arrival messages. Unfortunately, these instructions were not reviewed, and we were contacted only at the last minute, after the final ferry had already departed. We are located in Caye Caulker and do not provide pickup from Belize City, nor is this stated anywhere in our listing. If there was any uncertainty, you could have asked for clarification at any time, and we would have been happy to assist. When traveling to a new destination, it is also important for guests to do basic research and ask questions if anything is unclear. In this case, assumptions were made instead of confirming details, and there was very limited communication prior to arrival. Our property description is accurate and transparent. We advertise an ocean-view property, not a beachfront property. Nowhere in our listing do we claim to have a beach or swimming access. Photos and descriptions clearly show the surroundings. We have never experienced the issues described, and many guests have enjoyed their stay without concern. We take pride in being attentive hosts and responding to guest needs when they are communicated. We regret that misunderstandings and a lack of preparation resulted in a missed night; however, this was not due to misleading information or lack of support on our part. We encourage future guests to carefully review listing details, research their destination, and reach out in advance with any questions so we can ensure a smooth and enjoyable stay.

Close enough to walk to just about anywhere. place is amazing and just for enough away to have quiet moments, but close enough to hit some evening entertainment if you want it. place was super close to the water, yet shaded perfectly with palms in the morning.

Wow. This place was everything we could have dreamed of and more. Perfect location for us outside the busier part of town, but quick and easy to walk everywhere. We rented bikes for the duration of our stay and found it very convenient to get around that way, especially since the house is right on the beach path. We spent most of our trip diving and appreciated having the bikes to get to the dive shops quickly. It was very nice to return each night to this quieter, more private part of the island, and being next to the beach bar and right on the water was an added bonus. We enjoyed the porch chairs and hammock for relaxing with coffee in the morning or a beer in the afternoon. It was hot and humid while we were there but it was not a problem for us with the fans and good air flow through the house. Sticky but we appreciated that no AC encourages you to open the home up to the sea breeze and beauty just outside! Highly recommend and will for sure return.

We enjoyed our stay at Carolyn’s place! The beach house had everything we need and the view of the sun rising in the morning was very nice. The Barefoot Beach bar was convenient for a drink and a bonfire. We will be returning.

A+ stay at an A+ location for 6 days on Caye Caulker. Walked and biked everywhere. Swam off the pier. Ate local dishes. Danced and sang. And the breeze blowing all night made the place even better. Will absolutely stay here again. This might be one of my favorite AirBnB’s of all time.

This was our second time staying at this location, but our first time on the second floor. The view was amazing and we spent a lot of time on the beautiful porch over looking the ocean. Levita is super nice and accommodating. The beds are very uncomfortable, and the provided pillows are flat. Everything else was great.

This place was amazing! Book this Airbnb and then make sure that you walk around and hit up the local bar and grill which is just one street over. Best food on the island and the mojitos are out of this world! We loved meeting locals and hanging out. It’s a bit of a walk to the main town but the provided bicycles make it much easier.

This was great! Since Amie provides bikes, getting around is easy to do. Would not recommend to someone who doesn’t want to ride bike. Just a quick ride to restaurants and activities. There’s also a bodega (two actually) right around the corner. Amie was super pleasant and I would stay with her again.

We stayed at Carolyn's house for 5 nights and it was the perfect place for us. Location was close enough to town to walk or ride bikes. Far enough from town to make it quiet. They had bikes for us to rent it too.

We enjoyed our stay. Amiela was very responsive and helpful. Would recommend it to anyone visiting Caye Caulker. A little out of the way and rough road but very nice.

our host was amazing. the place was beautiful, extremely clean. directions were easy to follow... unfortunately the neighborhood was flooded. there was lots of bugs and it smelled of sulfur. This was not the host's fault, And hopefully in the future the neighbors clean up.

pictures indicate a sandy beach right outside, this is inaccurate. you cannot go into the water at all due to the water quality, and there is no where to sit in the sand near the water. very dirty area, swampy and full of garbage.
