Of all the villas we have rented, José's is the best maintained. Tastefully decorated, prepared with extreme care, in a quiet and bucolic environment, superbly equipped (kitchen, ultra-comfortable bedding, Bose sound system). The open layout is fun and gives José's villa an incredible and friendly character. Not to mention the friendliness of Margarita, who welcomed us! Don't miss the Guayabo restaurant, 10 minutes away, with a young chef who has gained experience at Michelin-starred restaurants in Europe and the United States (treat yourself and order the tasting menu, which is fabulous), and you'll have the recipe for a perfect stay. Out of the four houses that we booked via Airbnb to travel around Costa Rica, this was by far the best - my family and I loved it! Everything had been thought of and provided - even down to whether one preferred soft or firm pillows - both were provided. My only regret was that we did not book a longer stay. Jose and his mother Margarita were just perfect. Pura vida ♥

We had the best stay at Jose’s place. The house was just as beautiful as the photos and the pool was amazing. Perfect spot for families. The setting is super private and quiet with a dairy close by. His mom was there to greet us and show us around and was able to pop over and help with any questions we had, and also just incredibly sweet and kind. She also introduced me to the neighbor dogs who came with me on my morning walks and let me pet their baby cows. Jose’s communication was top notch, his guidebook had every activity we were looking for and every question we had was answered promptly. The town was small and sweet and off the beaten path so we felt like we were getting a true Costa Rica experience. The highlight for my kids was the pool, the highlights for the adults was the quiet solitude.

The place is beautiful. Communication with the host was amazing. I had the opportunity to photograph limpets... it's worth every dollar he charges. It's peace in its fullest sense. So much so that I didn't realize until very late that they don't have TVs.

The accommodation is really very beautiful, the outside is soothing with a very nice pool and a very nice environment. The bedrooms are very comfortable, each with a beautiful bathroom. I highly recommend this listing Thank you for everything

Doña Margarita welcomed us in a very friendly and helpful manner. He gave us an excellent recommendation to buy cheese and custard (the ice cream is very good) at Los Corteza. The place is the same as in the photos: spacious, clean, and very quiet. We had a pleasant weekend at the pool and enjoying the surroundings.

Excellent spot! We loved the quiet, private space & the pool (plenty warm!). Our hosts were proactive & great at explaining everything we needed. Good spot to check out hikes & also get up to the thermal baths. Well appointed kitchen, lovely bathrooms, comfy beds. A/C worked great & fun to read in the open space while it rains! Highly recommended!

Wonderful property with exceptional, very accommodating hosts. Venecia is a lovely community within driving distance to several nice attractions. The house was very comfortable, great views and had a beautiful pool. We would definitely stay here again in the future!!

We thought the accommodation was fantastic. Everything has been thought of. The beds are wonderfully comfortable, the view is beautiful, and the kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need. For those who want to enjoy peace and nature, this is the perfect place. We'd love to come back.

Our stay at this beautiful Airbnb in was unforgettable. Surrounded by lush tropical scenery, the home felt like a private luxury retreat. The pool was our favorite spot—perfect for morning swims, relaxing afternoons, and taking in the peaceful surroundings. We loved waking up to the sounds of nature and enjoying the quiet setting. A highlight of our stay was having Chef Jerry prepare an incredible Costa Rican dinner right in the home. Hosts Jose and Margarita were amazing—friendly, attentive, and truly dedicated to making our stay special. From the incredible food to the beautiful design and serene atmosphere, everything exceeded our expectations. We would absolutely stay here again!

We had a wonderful time at this property. Surroundings are very serene and tranquil, with immersive nature all around. There’s another house in front of the airbnb but it’s nice that you still feel enough privacy. Design and details are very pleasant. Nice firm mattresses. Stocked kitchen. Would recommend.
